She stared at the hand and sat stiffly in the sedan chair without moving.
But he lost his patience and grabbed her wrist and pulled her out of the sedan chair. She stumbled into his arms, and the red veil slipped off. She looked up and met his dark eyes.
He raised his hand and gently stroked her cheek, his eyes filled with coldness: “Wanwan, you made it so hard for me to find you.”
Her whole body was stiff and her face was pale. She wanted to open her mouth but found her throat was blocked. Fear and terror prevented her from saying a word.
The sedan chair was left in a courtyard, and the courtyard was empty except for the two of them.
"Why are you here?" she finally spoke with difficulty, because she found that she had nowhere to escape.
"You are getting married today, how can I not come?" His expression was calm, but his voice was cold and piercing.
Her eyes gradually turned red, and her voice was choked with sobs: "Where's Lin Han?"
He raised his lip sarcastically: "You are thinking about him. For him, you lied to me and hid in this remote place. You can't wait to marry him. Do you really like him that much?"
Her face was as pale as paper, and she shook her head stiffly: "No, no, I didn't mean to lie to you..."
"You didn't mean to lie to me? Then tell me, I'll give you a chance to explain."
He looked at her with calm eyes, his tone without the slightest fluctuation, but she knew clearly that beneath his extreme calmness was suppressed an unimaginable danger.
Wanruo's heart trembled, tears suddenly rolled down her cheeks, and she shook her head: "I was wrong, I shouldn't have lied to you, I beg you, please let me go."
His eyes darkened instantly, and he pinched her chin and stared at her: "You are too lazy to even lie to me, right? You are so capable, you can just open your mouth and say it, but now you can't think of anything, or you are too lazy to think?"
Wanruo's face turned stiff and she was speechless.
He then grabbed her wrist and dragged her into the room.
Wanruo's face turned pale with fear, and she struggled and cursed, "What are you doing?! Let me go! Xie Xianyu, what qualifications do you have to arrest me? No matter how lowly I am, I am still a good person, not a servant of your Xie family! Whether I leave the Xie family or marry someone else, you have no right to interfere!"
Today was her wedding day, but the bride disappeared and appeared in another man's room. Her life was over!
He threw her directly onto the bed. She hurriedly tried to get up, but he leaned over and pressed her down.
He clamped her wrists with one hand and pinned her to the bed, his face already livid: "So this is what you think. You've been pretending to be obedient to me for so long, but in the end you've wanted to leave me a long time ago."
Her eyes were red, and she gritted her teeth as if she was risking everything: "So what?! You are the only one allowed to be selfish, only allowed to make demands, and only allowed to live by your face. Why?!"
"You were the one who seduced me in the first place, begging me to take you in so pitifully, pretending to be obedient to please me. Now you ask me what you think is your right?"
"Because I've had enough!"
His eyes froze, and then he was filled with raging anger. The five fingers that pinched her wrist tightened, as if he wanted to crush her wrist.
He suddenly smiled, with a chilling look in his eyes: "Have you had enough?"
Wanruo felt a chill on her back, sweat broke out all over her body, and she suddenly regretted her impulsiveness in angering him.
He grabbed her waistband with his big hands and ripped it open, staring at her with an increasingly cold gaze: "Just because of Lin Han?"
Wanruo hurriedly shook her head and struggled to get away, but he pressed her down on the bed tightly, leaving her with nowhere to hide. "No, no."
He tore open her wedding dress, his usually calm eyes now filled with frantic rage. "You faked your own death for him, you burned Qiu Shui Courtyard to the ground, and then you left without a trace. You hid in this remote place, changed your name, and couldn't wait to marry him. You care about him so much, but have you ever thought about me?"
His eyes were red. "I thought you were really dead. I kept vigil for you and buried you. I regretted countless times that I shouldn't have gone to Qizhou. I regretted not being nicer to you. I even regretted forcing you to learn the piano."
Wanruo's whole body stiffened.
