Chapter 88: There is a limit to fooling around (1/2)

"Why are you here?" Wanruo subconsciously let go of the hand that was supporting Jingzhao, and a cold sweat broke out on her back.

Xie Xianyu glanced at the man sitting in the wheelchair. His face was pale and almost bloodless, but it was obvious that he lived a life of luxury. He did not flinch when he was looked at by Xie Xianyu. There was a friendly smile in his eyes, but it seemed a bit provocative and glaring to him.

Xie Xianyu narrowed his eyes slightly, then regained his composure. "Of course I have something to talk to you about."

Wanruo looked into his calm eyes, and the chill on her back intensified. "Then let's talk outside."

Xie Xianyu turned around and left.

Wanruo was about to catch up, but Jingzhao suddenly started coughing. Wanruo quickly turned back and patted his back to soothe his breath. "Did you catch a cold?"

Jingzhao shook his head weakly: "No, the sun is just so comfortable. I guess I just haven't recovered yet."

Wan Ruo frowned and said, "I'll let Su Yue push you back. You're seriously injured and haven't recovered yet. It's not good for you to stay outside for too long."

Jingzhao curled his lips and said, "It's okay, you don't have to worry about me."

He raised his eyes and saw Xie Xianyu's gloomy face.

"Xu Wanruo." Xie Xianyu's voice was cold, and a hint of hostility was surging in his eyes. "Come here."

Wanruo hurriedly followed.

After entering the front hall, Xie Xianyu stopped and looked back at her with a stern expression: "Is this a pharmacy or an inn? How can a man live here?"

"He is a patient." Wanruo frowned.

"Others will only say he's a man. If you leave a man here, what will outsiders say? Do you still want to keep your reputation?"

She laughed sarcastically: "Do I still have such a thing as a reputation?"

Xie Xianyu's eyes paused slightly.

She felt a faint resentment in her heart, and she lost her patience: "You came to me just to talk about this? If there is nothing else, I would leave first."

She turned to move, but he grabbed her wrist and pulled her back, pressing her against the wall.

She raised her eyes in panic and met his dark and sinister eyes.

"Have this man move out immediately. If I see him here again, I will kill him immediately."

Wan Ruo's hairs shuddered all over her body, and she gritted her teeth and said, "This is my shop! I can take in anyone I want, why do you have the right to control me?"

His eyes were cold: "Why don't you know?"

Wanruo's face froze. Looking into his sharp eyes, she realized that what she thought was a mutual indifference was a joke from the beginning to the end. From the moment she returned to Yanjing City, it was impossible for her to get rid of him.

"Wanwan, there has to be a limit to mischief. I don't have that much patience. You should know clearly what you can and cannot do."

She stood there stiffly, not replying.

He looked at her pale face and slowed down his tone a little: "The old lady has not been feeling well recently. From now on, you will prepare the medicinal food every day and I will come to pick it up myself."

He placed a jade pendant in her hand: "This is the consultation fee."

She still didn't say anything, and he didn't force her. He just glanced coldly in the direction of the backyard and said, "Deal with that man as soon as possible."

Then turned and left.

She lowered her eyes and looked at the jade pendant placed in her palm. It had a transparent texture and was warm to the touch. It emitted a bright light in the sunlight. It was obviously a rare and fine jade. She didn't know how much it was worth.

Turning over the jade pendant, I saw the word "Xian" engraved on the back.

Su Yue pushed Jingzhao's wheelchair in, and Wanruo hurriedly put away the jade pendant in her hand.
