Chapter 114 What this world lacks is "what if".

His tone was no longer indifferent, but filled with undisguised desire. His eyes reflected Yu Qiuchi's image, leaving him nowhere to hide.

Yu Qiuchi was speechless. He shifted his gaze to the vehicles passing by on the road before saying, "Brother Yu, give up."

Song Yaozhuo pursed his lips. He already knew this was the answer. He raised his hand and finally placed it on Yu Qiuchi's head, smoothing down his hair, which was a little messy from taking off his hat.

"Is it Mo Weiyun?"

Although Yu Qiuchi was surprised, he did not deceive Song Yaozhuo. He looked at Song Yaozhuo's dark but pleading eyes, and nodded slowly.

The last glimmer of light in Song Yaozhuo's eyes vanished when Yu Qiuchi nodded.

Although his voice was cold, Yu Qiuchi could hear a slight tremor in it: "I guessed right."

The suffocating atmosphere made it difficult for Yu Qiuchi to answer.

Compared to Yu Qiuchi's reluctance, Song Yaozhuo seemed more relaxed: "At first, I thought it would be Jiang Chenzhou."

"Why? Is it because he's my idol?" Yu Qiuchi asked softly.

“Because you have a soft, upright shell around everyone else, but you're genuinely sincere only with him.” Song Yaozhu paused for a moment before saying, “You're the one who makes people feel a touch of authenticity.”

"Really?" Yu Qiuchi himself hadn't paid attention to these things, but someone else was keeping a close eye on them.

Song Yaozhuo did not answer. The two fell silent again in the night, with only the sound of cars honking back and forth.

Yu Qiuchi thought Song Yaozhuo wouldn't answer, and he was just about to ask if they should drink.

Then they heard Song Yaozhuo's voice.

"If we had met sooner, would..."

He didn't finish his sentence, but those who were meant to understand would naturally understand.

“But what this world lacks is ‘what if’.” Yu Qiuchi smiled, took a few steps away from Song Yaozhuo, and changed the subject: “Brother Yu, can you ride a motorcycle?”

Song Yaozhuo knew perfectly well that Yu Qiuchi was changing the subject. He looked at Yu Qiuchi, who had his hands in his pockets and looked at the motorcycle with curiosity in his eyes, and finally didn't continue: "I took the exam after I became an adult."

"That's cool!" Yu Qiuchi took his hand out of his pocket, and the little seal clapped: "I've never ridden a motorcycle before."

Yu Qiuchi's statement is true. He used to go to watch races with some drinking buddies, but he hasn't watched one since his mother passed away, and he hasn't bothered to verify it until now.

It seems that driving will be something he can never do again.

Deep down, he knew that what he feared wasn't driving, but rather the hateful words his mother uttered before she died.

Does she hate him or his father?

Rationally speaking, he felt that he hated his father, hated his infidelity, and hated that his father no longer loved him.

Emotionally, Yu Qiuchi felt that his mother also hated him. After all, she was obsessed with his father to the point of madness, and even after everything had come to this, she wouldn't budge on the divorce. She hated that her pregnancy had diverted her father's attention from her and turned him elsewhere, and she hated that his birth had drawn even more of his attention...

Yu Qiuchi could sense that his mother loved and envied him. A passionate and flamboyant woman was ultimately tormented by love, becoming a gentle and understanding wife and mother, and the "jealous woman" in her husband's eyes.

Song Yaozhuo came prepared. Although he knew that Yu Qiuchi had a fear of driving due to past events and would not likely ride in his car, he still brought two helmets, just in case…

"Want to give it a try?" Song Yaozhuo asked expectantly, trying hard to suppress the nervousness in his voice: "Let's go for a drive."

"Is it okay?" Yu Qiuchi blinked, somewhat surprised. Riding a motorcycle around sounded really cool.

Song Yaozhuo nodded and helped Yu Qiuchi put on the helmet, which was also very cool. It was black and red, and the flames on it seemed to be blown by the wind, very cool and matched the aircraft perfectly!

Yu Qiuchi straddled the seat, feeling uneasy. Song Yaozhuo specifically instructed him, "If you feel unwell, tell me."

The roar of the motorcycle starting was very obvious, and Yu Qiuchi felt his body trembling. He subconsciously grabbed Song Yaozhuo's windbreaker.

Song Yaozhuo grabbed his hand and made him put his arm around his waist. Amid the roar of the machine, Yu Qiuchi could vaguely hear Song Yaozhuo's somewhat disappointed voice: "Run this lap with me, and I'll listen to you from now on."

Song Yaozhuo was indeed well-prepared. He chose a road with few people, with mountains on the left and the sea on the right, where the moon shone brightly.

As the speed increased, Yu Qiuchi unconsciously tightened his arms around Song Yaozhuo's lean waist, and Song Yaozhuo could feel the intense body heat of the person behind him through his windbreaker.

His heart was itching from the ironing; this might be the only chance he could take him for a drive, yet his heart was also filled with bitterness.

He didn't know why he had fallen in love. Was it the provocative look in his eyes when they first met at the bar, or the gentle smile when they met again, or perhaps it was that bottle of grape soda that he had said didn't taste good, or that scene that suddenly appeared on the lonely shore...

But when I think back on it, it seems like there's been another figure in my otherwise mundane and lonely world.

Yu Qiuchi adapted to the speed. He felt the slightly salty dampness of the sea and saw the full moon hanging over the sea. He suddenly thought of Song Yaozhuo taking pictures alone on the reef at the bonfire party.

At that time, Yu Qiuchi could only see the distant lighthouse, and he felt very lonely.

He seemed to have asked Song Yaozhuo a question at the time: "Did your family name you Song Yaozhuo in the hope that you would have a passionate personality?"

Song Yaozhuo replied, "Probably."

Yu Qiuchi felt that his conclusion at the time might have been wrong. Song Yaozhuo had his own passion, just like a vibrating locomotive.

"What if you don't see me tonight?" Yu Qiuchi suddenly shouted as he rushed forward.
