Chapter 19 A Battleground at the Dinner Table

The nap bell had barely started when Yu Qiuchi stopped it. He looked around and noticed some scattered recreational equipment on the lawn not far away, such as seesaws and small slides, which should be a children's play area.

Yu Qiuchi comfortably occupied the swing, where the large cloud at the top effectively blocked out the sunlight, making it a good spot to cool off.

At this time, many children were lining up to play on the small slide, and the surrounding area was filled with children's laughter. Yu Qiuchi had already turned off her microphone, then sent a few messages to Zhou Baixi, and gently swung around by herself, enjoying this moment.

"Um... pretty sister, can I... play?" A little boy behind her gently nudged Yu Qiuchi and asked cautiously.

The voice was very soft, and Yu Qiuchi thought he had misheard. He turned around and saw a little girl who looked about five or six years old. She had a bluish birthmark on her left cheek, which was particularly noticeable on her soft and fair skin.

Yu Qiuchi was taken aback at first, then stood up, poked the braided cat ears on the girl's head, and said, "Of course, but not a pretty older sister, but a younger brother."

The girl looked timid and somewhat lost as she turned to look at a woman in a blue dress. The woman smiled at the girl, a silent encouragement.

"But Mom says that girls have long hair and boys have short hair," the girl said earnestly.

Yu Qiuchi carried the little girl to the swing, told her to hold on to the ropes on both sides, and then gently pushed her: "That brother is a bit special, he likes to keep his hair long."

"Just like how I like blue pocket cats, but kindergarten kids like pink cats, right?" The girl tilted her head and asked Yu Qiuchi curiously, like a newborn kitten, which made people's hearts melt.

"Same as above."

The woman walked over, and Yu Qiuchi immediately noticed the blue Doraemon water bottle hanging on her.

The woman thanked Yu Qiuchi, then patted the girl's head and praised her, "Qiuqiu, you were really brave just now."

"Yes, I want to be the bravest child and protect my mom." The girl's words were childish, but exceptionally firm.

Qiuqiu... In a fleeting moment, Yu Qiuchi thought of her childhood, when her mother seemed to have praised her in the same way, but the white dress she wore had long since faded from her memory.

Yu Qiuchi looked at the birthmark on the girl's face but didn't ask any more questions. Everyone has their own suffering, and it's best to leave it at that.

"Qiuchi, Qiuchi! What are you doing there!"

Yu Qiuchi followed the sound and saw Xie Tingsi waving at her. When Xie Tingsi saw her looking over, he laughed even more enthusiastically, looking just like a golden retriever.

"Handsome brother, is that husky brother here to see you?" The girl also saw Xie Tingsi. Children speak without restraint, saying whatever comes to mind. Yu Qiuchi thought the little girl's description was very vivid.

"Yes, I'm going to play with that big brother."

"Okay, bye-bye, handsome brother. My mom and I want to play on the swing a little longer."

If all little girls in the world were this cute, who would be afraid of pregnancy?

Yu Qiuchi subconsciously didn't want to drag the little girl into the live stream. His live stream camera was currently off, but that might change once Xie Tingsi came over.

Yu Qiuchi took large strides, leading Xie Tingsi in a different direction towards the stall: "I suddenly feel like eating, do you want some?"

Xie Tingsi didn't think much of it and immediately nodded vigorously, his canine teeth showing with delight: "Eat!"

Yu Qiuchi scanned the code to pay and asked, "Are you full?"

Then, realizing it wasn't quite right, he added, "What about everyone?"

Xie Tingsi flashed his little tiger teeth and smiled innocently: "I'm full, but everyone else isn't. By the way, has Qiu Chi ever ridden a Ferris wheel?"

"No, what's up? Want to play?" Yu Qiuchi raised an eyebrow and smiled.

"I want to play! Qiu Chi, can we join?" Xie Tingsi's eyes lit up. If he had a tail, he would be wagging it fast.

Yu Qiuchi found Xie Tingsi quite adorable, and he couldn't resist ruffling Xie Tingsi's head: "Of course."

[The cunning dog]

I'm full!

[Haha, little cutie Yan Qing is still waiting for Xie Tingsi to call Yu Qiuchi back for noodles!]

"Huh? Why is this happening!" Xie Tingsi muttered, sounding a little aggrieved, as the dog's ears drooped down.

The Ferris wheel doesn't open until after 3 PM, and it's only a little past 1 PM now.

"Or we can go do something else," Yu Qiuchi comforted him.

"Just the two of us?" the puppy asked expectantly.

"Yes, just the two of us."
