Chapter 23 A Young Man's Moment of Passion

[The guests were all increasingly awkward and reserved, while the audience members were all increasingly sidelined.]

"We're going to eat now, see you later!" Yu Qiuchi thought, seeing that there was really nothing left to talk about, she wanted to make a quick getaway after dinner.

Unexpectedly, yet seemingly not unexpectedly, Song Yaozhuo has made quite a few exceptions recently.

"I'm going too."

"Huh? You haven't eaten yet?" Yu Qiuchi was shocked.

Song Yaozhuo calmly replied, "No."

[Peeking, if you don't say anything and I don't say anything, everyone will say it, right? Ah~ the knife-cut noodles are so delicious~]

[Dude, that's a lame excuse. Your wife can easily find out by searching online later.]

[The person upstairs doesn't understand. His wife clearly has high emotional intelligence; even if she found out later, she wouldn't bring it up to his face.]

"Zhou Shen, is it okay?" Yu Qiuchi had no objections, but since she was with Zhou Shen, she still had to ask for his opinion.

Jiang Chenzhou could guess Song Yaozhuo's thoughts, but since it was a live broadcast, Yu Qiuchi wasn't his exclusive possession; everyone had a chance: "Okay."

"Let's go together then, we'll wait for you outside."

The landscaping around the villa is truly beautiful. The roses are in full bloom right now, their white and pink hues perfectly complementing the greenery.

"I remember there used to be crabapple trees here, but later the feng shui master said it wouldn't work, so they were transplanted away."

Did you spend a lot of time here before?

"It's alright. I lived here for a year when I was little, and I've come here every year since then... But I haven't been here for a long time since the crabapple tree was gone..."

"I really like crabapple trees."

"No, it's not that. This place is a sad place, and I didn't really want to come back. But now I understand, and it's all in the past. Life is a journey, and you can't stay in one place." Yu Qiuchi was bored and had almost pulled the rose bushes bare. He casually scattered the petals, but in his heart he felt that he was being pretentious.

Song Yaozhu changed his clothes, but still didn't wear earrings. Yu Qiuchi didn't know why she cared about it so much. Maybe she was just bored.

Although Yu Qiuchi's car was used today, it was driven by a staff member. Yu Qiuchi had two "big ice blocks" sitting on his left and right, and he felt like he was sandwiched between two cookies.

Perhaps Zhou Shen hadn't slept last night, because as soon as he got in the car he crossed his arms and closed his eyes to rest, while Song Yaozhuo kept his eyes fixed straight ahead, causing the driver to sit up straight and feel a little uneasy.

Although the car was quite spacious, it was full of tall young men, all over 1.8 meters, with their legs touching. Song Yaozhuo felt that the part of him pressed against Yu Qiuchi was burning hot, and he wanted to move away because he couldn't stand it, but he couldn't bear to.

Yu Qiuchi wasn't idle at the moment; he was reviewing the messages he'd received over the past few days and last night.

Of the seven guests, four left messages for him: Song Yaozhuo, Jiang Chenzhou, Xie Tingsi, and Gu Xiaojun.

He could guess Xie Tingsi's feelings. Xie Tingsi's affection was very obvious. He had been expressing it all afternoon, but Yu Qiuchi remained firm in his decision. Xie Tingsi was like a big boy from his school days, with a naked gaze, flamboyant and sunny, yet still somewhat naive.

He felt that this kind of liking came and went quickly, and was just a young boy's momentary passion.
