Each group had eight glasses of wine on their table, each with its own beautiful color.
The rules were written on the sign in front of them.
Yan Qing picked up the sign and read aloud: "Singing and drinking in a row, one point for each matching song and wine, two points for each matching person."
Yan Qing paused for a moment, then cursed, "I knew the director had no good intentions!"
Taking advantage of her height, Gu Xiaojun took the breakfast from Yan Qing's hand: "Redeem breakfast with points."
"Each group can choose their favorite drink! The one with the most votes gets a free meal ticket! The drink that no one in the group gets a meal ticket too!"
"Tsk, the only redeeming thing about them is that we don't have to cook for ourselves," Tang Ke commented.
“It’s definitely better than last time in the mountain village.” Yu Qiuchi gritted his teeth.
Mo Weiyun stood next to Yu Qiuchi, and under the cover of the table, she gently hooked her fingertips around Yu Qiuchi's fingertips as a gesture of comfort.
He noticed that Yu Qiuchi did not resist, his eyes brightened slightly, and he boldly inserted his fingertips slowly, finally interlocking his fingers.
So Yu Qiuchi's words didn't mean she wanted to break up with him...
Mo Weiyun's restless heart calmed down, and he found Yan Qing, who had been hovering in front of Yu Qiuchi, much more agreeable.
Yu Qiuchi did not break free; he acquiesced to Mo Weiyun's actions, understanding better than anyone that it was a matter of giving a stick and then a sweet treat.
He picked up the rightmost glass of wine with his left hand. It was a beautiful blue color with an apricot floating in the middle.
One sip reveals a mixture of blueberry and peach flavors, creating a complex taste. It's not exactly unpleasant, but it's not exactly delicious either.
"Try it." Yu Qiuchi handed it to Mo Weiyun: "It's alright, but it's not very refreshing, a bit too sweet."
Mo Weiyun didn't take it. Instead, he lowered his head and drank directly from Yu Qiuchi's hand, biting the same spot where Yu Qiuchi's lips had touched the cup earlier, exactly where they had touched.
Yu Qiuchi's ears instantly turned red. Damn it! This guy just felt that he couldn't get angry in public and was subtly asserting his dominance.
Yu Qiuchi broke free from the hand being held below, thankfully it was a pre-recorded broadcast! He looked guiltily at the other groups.
Yan Qingxie and Si's group were in complete chaos, mixing several drinks together, and I have no idea what they were doing.
Jiang Chenzhou and Tang Ke took out empty cups from somewhere and drank from them separately, appearing quite distant.
Just as Yu Qiuchi looked at Song Yaozhuo, he was caught red-handed. He noticed that Song Yaozhuo was holding a glass of champagne and taking a sip, his eyes looking complicatedly at the spot where Song Yaozhuo had just clasped hands with Mo Weiyun.
Yu Qiuchi instantly distanced herself from Mo Weiyun, like a cat whose tail had been stepped on.
"What's wrong?" Mo Weiyun noticed Yu Qiuchi's actions and asked with some confusion.
Yu Qiuchi picked up a pink cup and said in a self-deceiving manner, "It's nothing!"
Just as Yu Qiuchi was about to drink it, Mo Weiyun stopped him, grabbing Yu Qiuchi's wrist: "Wait a minute."
Then I took a small sip; it tasted like peach and tomato. Only after confirming there was no strawberry flavor did I release it.
Seeing Yu Qiuchi's questioning gaze: "You're allergic to strawberries."
"This shouldn't be it, right?" Yu Qiuchi shook the wine, and the pink color mixed with the layers of white on top, making the color much lighter.
"It's better to be cautious." Mo Weiyun glanced at the row of wine bottles. He was reluctant to let Yu Qiuchi drink them, as they were all potential dangers.
Yu Qiuchi could tell what Mo Weiyun was thinking at a glance. He raised his hand and drank the wine in his glass in one gulp: "It's a bit too bland, it doesn't have much flavor."
He picked up the most unusual-colored cup, which was dark black, swirled it, and took a sip. The taste was better than he expected, but it was very bland, with only a hint of lemon juice.
"This color is bamboo charcoal powder?"
Yu Qiuchi looked up at Mo Weiyun. Yu Qiuchi didn't know much about bartending; he just liked to drink, especially strong liquor.
Mo Weiyun took the cup and sipped it: "It should be."
"This glass looks beautiful! It's bright red, and it matches your hair color perfectly, Mo Weiyun!" Yu Qiuchi held the glass of wine up to Mo Weiyun's hair, the red wine reflecting the color of her hair.
The strand of hair that Yu Qiuchi had pulled on Mo Weiyun was still sticking up a bit, making her look somewhat dazed, which made Yu Qiuchi want to laugh.
He tiptoed and poked Mo Weiyun's cheek: "What, aren't you going to try this cup? You little eunuch who tastes the food, hahaha!"
Mo Weiyun pinched Yu Qiuchi's fingertip and gently kissed it: "But, Your Majesty, what should I do if I want to be a favored concubine who brings ruin to the country?"
Yu Qiuchi withdrew her fingers and handed the cup of crimson wine to Mo Weiyun: "There is a distinction between ruler and subject!"
Mo Weiyun held the glass of wine, took a small sip, and drank it very carefully, as if she were savoring something, which made Yu Qiuchi's face turn even redder.
"What are you looking at me for? Hurry up and name the wine!"
"It looks great."
Yu Qiuchi was about to explode. He then rolled his eyes and deliberately did something mischievous. He leaned down slightly and got very close to Mo Weiyun, with his legs between Mo Weiyun's legs, as if he was going to kiss him.
Mo Weiyun's breath hitched, but to his surprise, Yu Qiuchi turned her head and whispered in his ear, "All right, here's a kiss for you."
Then he picked up the glass of green liquor on the table, stood up and drank it, a smug smile on his lips.
"Give me a kiss..." His voice was very soft, only Mo Weiyun could hear it. Mo Weiyun felt his body burning up, and he sat in the chair, afraid to move...
The wine in Yu Qiuchi's hand tasted somewhat naive, like the feeling of a young girl in love who couldn't have the one she wanted, with a slightly bitter aftertaste.
"This cup should be 'Once Upon a Time'?" Yu Qiuchi guessed. It was an intuition. He looked at the other groups and thought for a moment. Tang Ke, who had been in a relationship, Gu Xiaojun, and Yan Qing, who had liked someone, were known to have been in a relationship before. But this song was about being together and then breaking up.
Later you married your ideal, and I married someone from a similar social class... because of family, Tang Ke?
Yu Qiuchi gave the answer, and then cautiously asked, "Come on, walking cheat code, has Brother Junxiao ever been in a relationship before?"
Mo Weiyun didn't answer. He felt a pang of sadness in his heart. He first looked at Gu Xiaojun, then at Yu Qiuchi: "Liao Liao, you like this kind of thing?"
Yu Qiuchi was speechless. Couldn't this person's thought process be a little more normal? "Don't try to pin this on me."
Mo Weiyun scrutinized Yu Qiuchi's eyes, seeing only impatience and no affection whatsoever, before replying, "Yes, but they were all good-tempered." The last sentence was entirely out of his own selfish motives.
Yu Qiuchi felt a strong urge to kick Mo Weiyun; this was just a roundabout way of saying he had a bad temper.
"Alright, then this glass of wine will most likely belong to Tang Ke. Three points secured!" Yu Qiuchi said confidently.
“The dark-colored one should be the one with more obvious characteristics of ‘Cloudy Day’, but as for whose it is…” Yu Qiuchi wasn’t very sure: “Let’s put that aside for now. The blue one with apricots in the middle should be ‘Sunny Day’, isn’t that the sun?”
Yu Qiuchi placed the two glasses together: "They go well together on sunny and cloudy days, could they be from the same set?"
Yu Qiuchi said it casually, unaware that he was forcing the answer.
"The red cup of 'Love Like Fire' is either Yan Qing or Xie Tingsi. Xie Tingsi isn't that unreliable, so it's more likely to be Yan Qing."
