Chapter 9 The Dining Table: Strawberry Allergy

Therefore, even if Song Yaozhuo really has feelings for Yu Qiuchi, no one else will take him seriously.

"What else would you like to eat?" Jiang Chenzhou thought that the way his little fan was holding the water bottle was like the cats in the club holding their baby bottles when they were kittens, so cute that he couldn't help but want to pet them.

But the thought of Yu Qiuchi being with Song Yaozhuo that afternoon made Gu Xiaojun feel a little disappointed. However, he wasn't worried at all. Song Yaozhuo was a blockhead, and Gu Xiaojun wasn't interested in Yu Qiuchi because of his age.

After the burning sensation in his throat subsided, Yu Qiuchi lost his appetite after all that commotion and refused Jiang Chenzhou's offer to feed him.

Then, I explained that my clothes were dirty and that going to the cat cafe in the afternoon would be bad for the cats, so I went upstairs to change.

After washing away the spiciness, Yu Qiuchi leaned on the sink and looked up at himself in the mirror, his vision blurring for a moment.

The water mist blurred the mirror, and Yu Qiuchi stubbornly tried to wipe it clean. When the warmth of her palm touched the cold mirror, the white mist condensed into water droplets and slid off the mirror surface.

Looking in the mirror, her cheeks were flushed from taking a shower. Yu Qiuchi knew she wasn't in a good mood; she was just inexplicably down.

He looked up and suddenly saw the shower gel on the shelf next to him. It was strawberry-scented. Yu Qiuchi's body stiffened. He remembered the mouthful of milk he had drunk in a hurry earlier. It seemed to be strawberry-scented!

Yu Qiuchi felt a wave of nausea wash over him. He leaned against the sink, trying to vomit, but found he couldn't. He frantically reached for his toothbrush and cup to rinse his mouth.

But his hands were still shaking, and small red rashes started to appear on his arms. His vision blurred in waves. He tried to turn the doorknob, but as soon as the door opened, he knelt down, startling Jiang Chenzhou.

In the hospital, Jiang Chenzhou had mixed feelings.

Seeing that Yu Qiuchi hadn't come down for so long, he went upstairs to check on her, relying on his relationship with Yu Qiuchi's roommate. Little did he know that he would run into Yu Qiuchi, who had fainted due to an allergic reaction.

Yu Qiuchi's lips were pale, and she still had an IV drip in her hand. She lay there quietly, but strangely, there was a group of people sitting around her. Fortunately, it was a private room and there were no outsiders in the room. Otherwise, based on the silence of this group of people, they would have thought that the person lying on the bed had left.

[Is my wife alright?]

[Something about this area feels a bit off.]

[Waaah, when will my wife wake up?]

"Why don't you two go to the cat cafe first? Zhou and I can keep an eye on things here," Xie Tingsi suggested.

Gu Xiaojun rejected the suggestion: "No need, let's talk about it after the other person wakes up."

Silence fell over the ward once again.

Until the person on the bed made a move, Yu Qiuchi felt very uncomfortable. His whole body was sticky, and his vision was black. It was as if he was imprisoned in a cage, and he couldn't wake up no matter what he did.

He suddenly opened his eyes, his breathing becoming somewhat rapid. As he tried to get up, Gu Xiaojun gently but firmly pressed him back down.

Yu Qiuchi then noticed that he was surrounded by a group of people, and the atmosphere was a bit strange. Yu Qiuchi looked around the room. Was this a hospital?

Seeing Yu Qiuchi's confusion, Jiang Chenzhou said, "You're allergic to strawberries, do you know that?"

Yu Qiuchi licked her slightly dry lips and tentatively asked, "Am I allergic to strawberries?"
