Chapter 82: A Brief Introduction to Acupoints in Traditional Chinese Medicine

"Where is the person? Can they be moved?" The man's face tensed up upon hearing this, and he walked into the shed.

At this point, amputation is tantamount to a death sentence for the person; without the ability to work, how can they survive? Therefore, the man's first priority is to...

Du Ruoxia led the leaders into the shed, and the people on the plane also came down.

There's a problem: the plane can only accommodate one more person. If Gao Songbai goes up, Du Ruoxia won't be able to.

Finally, the leader spoke up, allowing the soldier who came down with him to stay, while Du Ruoxia and Gao Songbai boarded the plane together.

Du Ruoxia found a wooden branch to steady Gao Songbai's steps, and told Wang Hu not to be polite to the villagers, especially regarding the issue of food, before boarding the plane.

The plane took off quickly and left. Gao Songbai's grandfather knelt down, which Du Ruoxia saw when she turned around.

Her eyes flickered. Given Gao Songbai's condition, if she needed to hold onto that leg, that was the only way!

Using airplanes, they quickly arrived at the hospital.

With instructions from a leader, Du Ruoxia soon arrived at an operating room, which was already quite well-equipped.

"Boss, could you please help me find a traditional Chinese medicine doctor?" Du Ruoxia asked her boss.

Without saying a word, the leader went to find someone. Du Ruoxia took advantage of this break to grab a surgical gown and go to the restroom.

She had gotten herself all dirty in Gaojia Village, which made her unsuitable for surgery, especially given that Gao Songbai was already infected.

When she returned to the operating room, the door was closed, and the leader had already left. Du Ruoxia pushed the door open and went in.

Several doctors surrounded Gao Songbai, already holding scalpels and ready to begin.

"Has the anesthesia been administered?" one of them asked.

"Ready to start!" the other person replied.

"We need to amputate this leg, and all that rotten flesh," the artist said again.

Upon hearing this, Du Ruoxia immediately ran forward and pushed the people away. They were caught off guard and were pushed away directly.

Upon seeing Du Ruoxia in her surgical gown, his expression immediately darkened, and he began to scold her.

"Comrade, the patient cannot be here. Interfering with our rescue efforts will land you in jail!"

Du Ruoxia looked at them warily, then picked up the scalpel from the tray and pointed it at them.

"I'm a doctor too. Get out. This is my patient. I'll take charge of this surgery. I don't need you!" Du Ruoxia said coldly.

The group frowned, exchanging puzzled glances.

"Where are you a doctor from? I don't know you!" the leading man said, frowning.

"The leader only requested the operating room, not that you would be the surgeon. I will perform this surgery."

"And, no amputation is needed!"

Du Ruoxia stared at the group as if they were murderers. The doctor who immediately demanded amputation upon arrival was practically an executioner.

The leader's expression changed when he saw Du Ruoxia's confident words. "Comrade, are you a doctor from Kyoto?"

They immediately adopted a respectful expression, and still forced themselves to speak, "This person is already infected, and now has such a high fever. With his leg injured like this, it can't be saved!"

Du Ruoxia remained aloof, her expression resolute and unwavering, showing no sign of backing down because of their words.

"I am a doctor at Yuyang County Hospital. You can leave now. I can perform this surgery!" Du Ruoxia said coldly.

The leader's expression darkened as he saw that Du Ruoxia was so young and still wouldn't listen to advice.

“Comrade, if something goes wrong while you’re performing this surgery at our hospital, it will also implicate us doctors,” the man said, looking troubled.

Du Ruoxia pursed her lips. Of course she knew, but she didn't know where the leader of that Concord Army unit had gone!

"If you insist on having this surgery, it's not impossible, but you have to sign a guarantee that you will bear all the consequences alone," the man said, seizing the opportunity.

The man's request was met with approval from the others, who all looked at Du Ruoxia, waiting for her to speak.

"Why don't you hand him over to us? We are all qualified doctors, and I can definitely save this comrade's life!" The other man was still worried. He didn't know how skilled a wild girl from the county hospital was, and he couldn't risk the patient's life.

Du Ruoxia was extremely anxious. She kept glancing at the door, wondering if the leader would return.

"Comrade, even if the leaders come, they won't object to what we're doing!" the man said, interrupting Du Ruoxia's thoughts.

"No, I don't agree!" Du Ruoxia refused outright, the image of Grandpa Gao Songbai kneeling in farewell flashing through her mind.

Seeing that she was unyielding, the group lost patience. The man in the lead glanced at the anesthesiologist, who immediately walked towards Du Ruoxia.

"Is anyone inside?" a deep, resonant voice called out.

Du Ruoxia's face lit up with joy; the person she was looking for had arrived!

The others in the operating room looked towards the door, thinking that the CPPCC member had returned, and they all moved three steps away from Du Ruoxia.

There was another knock at the door. Du Ruoxia didn't move, watching them warily.

"Go open the door." The leader glared at Du Ruoxia and led his men to the door.

When the doctors opened the door and saw the old man standing there, they were all dumbfounded.

"Who are you?" The doctor in charge looked at the old man with displeasure.

The old man looked at the doctor with a smile, "I am a traditional Chinese medicine doctor who was sent by the leaders of the Peking Union Medical College Hospital to help. I am looking for Comrade Du."

The lead doctor suppressed his anger and looked toward the operating room. The TCM doctor understood and went in, completely ignoring the other doctors who looked terrible.

As soon as the TCM doctor entered, Du Ruoxia slammed the door shut from the inside, giving the doctors standing at the door a cold shoulder.

"They're utterly arrogant!" the leading doctor exclaimed angrily.

"What kind of place is Yuyang County? Are the doctors there as professional as us? They're so young and yet so ignorant of basic principles."

Others chimed in, "That's right, let's see how she cleans up the mess she's made!"

Director He's expression turned sinister upon hearing this, while the others exchanged knowing glances.

Du Ruoxia, who was in the operating room, had no time to think about offending Director He. As soon as the old Chinese medicine doctor entered, she started telling him to get to work.

She asked the old Chinese medicine doctor to first seal all the acupoints on Gao Songbai's legs. The old doctor did as she asked, and when he finished, he glanced at her with undisguised surprise.

"You know so much about acupoints, why don't you do it yourself?" the old Chinese medicine doctor asked, puzzled.

Du Ruoxia smiled helplessly, "Everyone has their own expertise. To be honest, I only have a superficial understanding of acupoints."

The old Chinese medicine doctor watched as Du Ruoxia methodically performed incisions and sutures on the patient, occasionally even anticipating convulsions. He couldn't help but marvel at Du Ruoxia's abilities.

When the first stitch was performed, the old Chinese medicine doctor was truly astonished, his mouth agape. He had never seen such exquisite and unique stitching techniques!
