Chapter 103 is most likely to fail.
Chen Yiwen looked up in surprise and was also surprised to see Du Ruoxia next to Dean Liu.
"Brother Shifeng, what are you saying? Grandma has always been perfectly normal!" Chen Yiwen's words still carried a hint of dissatisfaction, probably because of Song Shifeng's disrespect.
"A normal person would steal someone else's wife to be their granddaughter-in-law?" Song Shifeng said ruthlessly.
"No, you're overthinking it. It's all a misunderstanding. The old lady doesn't know I'm married!"
Du Ruoxia quickly tried to explain, but was met with sharp glares from Yang Zeyan and Song Shifeng, so she could only weakly retreat.
Chen Yiwen looked at Du Ruoxia suspiciously, remembering that the misunderstanding had already passed.
"No, Brother Shifeng, it's just a misunderstanding. Xiaxia was telling the truth. Grandma was just joking." Chen Yiwen explained and smiled amicably at Du Ruoxia.
Du Ruoxia wanted to step forward and explain, but in front of the two tall men, she could only awkwardly greet Chen Yiwen.
"Xiaxia, we really want to be your family!" Chen Yiwen said, not forgetting to try again, and even regretting that she hadn't completed the family reunion sooner.
Du Ruoxia forced an awkward smile and looked at Yang Zeyan in front of her. "Yiwen, how about we discuss this matter again?"
Chen Yiwen frowned. She couldn't remember who Yang Zeyan was, but he seemed familiar.
“You’re from Kyoto,” Chen Yiwen said, looking at Yang Zeyan with certainty.
"Call Chen Yizhou out," Yang Zeyan replied coldly.
Seeing that Yang Zeyan and Song Shifeng didn't look too good, Chen Yiwen wanted to persuade them, but Chen Yizhou came out at that moment.
His expression was also unpleasant. He glared at his sister and then looked at Song Shifeng and Yang Zeyan with a dark expression.
"It was indeed my grandmother's fault in this matter; she shouldn't have said that. But she didn't mean it; it was just because she liked Comrade Du."
"My grandma genuinely likes Du Ruoxia. We can't let our relationship affect other people, can we?"
Chen Yizhou looked as if he had eaten shit. He originally really wanted to recognize Du Ruoxia as his younger sister, but after all this trouble, he knew that it was most likely impossible.
The thought of the old lady inside gave Chen Yizhou a terrible headache.
"Xiaxia, Grandma says she wants to see you," Chen Yizhou said gently to Du Ruoxia, his expression softening.
Du Ruoxia wanted to respond, but she stopped immediately after a glance from Yang Zeyan and Song Shifeng.
"Um, I'm not really available right now. How about we talk about it tomorrow?" Du Ruoxia said cautiously.
Then, as if remembering something, she said awkwardly, "Why don't you guys sort out your issues first?"
Chen Yizhou and Yang Zeyan exchanged a glance and then looked away. Du Ruoxia guessed that they must be quite familiar with each other, otherwise people who had a grudge would not react this way.
“This stalemate isn’t going to work. Why don’t we find a place to sit down and talk?” Dean Liu suggested.
The three of them still looked unwilling. Du Ruoxia and Chen Yiwen couldn't stand it anymore. Du Ruoxia pushed two of them and Chen Yiwen pushed one of them, and they all walked towards Dean Liu.
The three men reluctantly walked towards the stairs, with Dean Liu leading the way with a forced smile. Along the way, they encountered many doctors who looked at them with surprise.
Du Ruoxia encountered a mass shooting scene, and she wished she could immediately crawl into a hole and disappear.
She thought that as long as she got to Dean Liu's office quickly, everything would be fine, but she ran into trouble at a corner.
Originally, Chen Yiwen was dragging Chen Yizhou along behind, but Du Ruoxia wanted the three of them to stay further away, so she pushed Yang Zeyan and Song Shifeng to walk faster.
They couldn't see around the corner, and they bumped into someone as soon as they went out.
Du Ruoxia immediately apologized, "I'm sorry, I didn't notice and bumped into you!"
A loud, middle-aged woman's voice rang out, "Ouch! That blind fool bumped into me!"
Du Ruoxia recognized the name. She looked up and peered through the space between Yang Zeyan and Song Shifeng, and saw that it was the old lady from the Zhao family.
It has to be said that Du Ruoxia and Yi are really destined to meet, otherwise, how could she keep running into their family in such a big hospital?
"Ouch, you bumped into me and made my eyes blurry. We can't let it go like this today!" The old lady said, then looked up and saw Yang Zeyan. She immediately changed her expression.
"It's you, Commander Yang!" The old lady said with a smile. Her headache had disappeared, and she warmly tried to take Yang Zeyan's hand.
Yang Zeyan took a step back and said coldly, "Grandma Zhao, it was my fault for bumping into you. I wonder how much the medical expenses will be?"
The old lady smiled awkwardly, and seeing Song Shifeng in a leader's uniform next to Yang Zeyan, she tentatively asked, "Did Regiment Commander Yang come to the hospital to see my grandson?"
As she spoke, she sized up Song Shifeng, a look of amazement creeping into her eyes.
Seeing that Yang Zeyan did not respond, the old lady looked at Song Shifeng again and asked, "Who is this leader? What is his position?"
"Hey old lady, is something wrong? If you have something to say, just say it. If you don't, we have important business to attend to!" Chen Yiwen shouted irritably from behind.
Actually, Chen Yiwen didn't want to speak up either, but Chen Yizhou was resisting so much that she couldn't hold him back any longer!
"Oh, I'm fine. Are you going to see my son? I'll show you the way!" The old lady wasn't annoyed and led Yang Zeyan the way directly.
Song Shifeng remained unmoved, standing coldly beside Yang Zeyan, and asked unhappily, "Your son? Who?"
The old lady's face immediately froze. She looked at Yang Zeyan awkwardly and said, "Commander Yang hasn't told you yet, but my son is the section chief of the meteorological bureau from Beijing. He's here to take charge!"
"This regiment commander Yang still needs my son's guidance!"
The old lady's face lit up when she talked about her son; she was clearly on cloud nine and didn't notice that Yang Zeyan and Song Shifeng's faces were getting increasingly dark with anger.
"Was it your son who commanded the people to go north for rescue?" Song Shifeng asked the old lady seriously.
The old woman was puzzled. She nodded and said, "Yes, my grandson suffered in this rain disaster. The poor child will never be able to walk again!"
"Oh, that rain was really heavy. All the roads around my parents' house were damaged. If it weren't for Yang Tuan and the others, we would have been in real trouble!" she added after finishing her sentence.
Du Ruoxia gave a knowing look. Now Song Shifeng didn't need to investigate anymore; the behavior was too obvious.
"Ha, the flood in your hometown is really serious. It only damaged the roads, but the people in the south lost their homes, and some even lost their lives!" Song Shifeng glared at the old lady through gritted teeth.
The old lady was so frightened that she took a step back, her face turning pale instantly. Realizing she had said the wrong thing, she immediately begged for forgiveness.
"Commander Yang, this is all Heaven's fault. My son's command of the rescue mission to the north was not for personal gain!"
Old Mrs. Zhao reacted quickly; seeing that Yang Zeyan and Song Shifeng's expressions were off, she began to deflect blame from Section Chief Zhao.
Du Ruoxia looked at her in surprise. This woman was quite unreasonable in her treatment of her grandson. It turned out that she was bullying the weak and fearing the strong!
"Whether there's ulterior motive or not will be known after the investigation. You don't need to rush to speak!" Song Shifeng's face turned cold. He ignored Old Madam Zhao and looked at Dean Liu.
Dean Liu immediately realized what was happening and smiled apologetically, "Come on, this way!"
"No, you can't just leave like this! I'll get my son to explain to you right now!" Old Mrs. Zhao blocked their way.
