Chapter 108 What Do the Elders Like?
Du Ruoxia lowered her head, not daring to look Yang Zeyan in the eye; her face was now flushed red.
In the midst of a major social uproar, she was merely speaking her mind; how could she let Yang Zeyan hear those words?
"Um, Yang Zeyan, how long have you been standing behind me?" Du Ruoxia could only ask cautiously, changing her tone.
Yang Zeyan cleared his throat, feigning ignorance, "What do you mean, how long? I heard you say 'in seconds' as soon as I came out. Who did you say was 'in seconds'?"
As he said this, his hand landed on Du Ruoxia's back. The faint touch made him feel hot all over. He pulled Du Ruoxia away from him.
Du Ruoxia was so startled that she immediately withdrew her hand from Yang Zeyan's shoulder; she had subconsciously grabbed Yang Zeyan's shoulder.
So sturdy, so strong!
She glanced at Yang Zeyan's chest, where his abdominal muscles were even harder!
"What's wrong?" Yang Zeyan asked again when she didn't speak.
Du Ruoxia quickly shook her head, looking embarrassed, and explained, "It's nothing, I just suddenly felt like jumping around."
Yang Zeyan looked at her with a smile in his eyes and a teasing expression, "So what does 'disappeared in seconds' mean?"
Du Ruoxia stammered, unsure how to explain, "This thing is indecent!"
"No, it's nothing, it just means the person is gone, it's medical terminology, medical terminology." In the end, she could only give a vague explanation.
Yang Zeyan's gaze towards her became even more meaningful; perhaps his obedient wife wasn't so obedient after all.
"Hey, are you going on a mission?" Du Ruoxia quickly changed the subject.
Yang Zeyan released Du Ruoxia and stood up straight, then took out a clean military uniform from the bundle he had brought.

Du Ruoxia nodded seriously. She had no choice but to do this, but she also realized the problems involved.
"Where?" Du Ruoxia looked up at Yang Zeyan and asked.
"Kyoto."
After Yang Zeyan finished speaking, he went to observe Du Ruoxia's face and breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that she did not show any aversion.
“My family is indeed quite complicated, but you can always just be yourself!” Yang Zeyan explained.
Du Ruoxia listened quietly to him, wanting to know about Yi's family situation, but Yang Zeyan was unwilling to say any more.
She was full of questions. Shouldn't an ugly daughter-in-law first find out her in-laws' preferences before meeting them? Why was Yang Zeyan so indifferent?
"Um, Yang Zeyan, why don't you tell me about your family situation so I can be mentally prepared?" Du Ruoxia couldn't help but ask.
After listening, Yang Zeyan pondered for a few seconds before speaking, "There's no need. You'll know when you see me."
Du Ruoxia persisted, "Then what do we need to prepare to meet them?"
The thought of her going to meet someone empty-handed is terrifying!
“They don’t need it, they lack nothing!” Yang Zeyan refused again.
Du Ruoxia really wanted to die; she clearly didn't want to just show up at their door like that!
"Get some rest tonight, I'm going to prepare something." Yang Zeyan said, patting Du Ruoxia's arm as if to leave, but then he turned back as if remembering something.
"Don't be afraid, I'll be back tonight." He said and went straight out the door.
Looking at the closed door, Du Ruoxia was speechless. How could anyone be so casual!
Unable to obtain any useful information from Yang Zeyan, Du Ruoxia had to find another way, and the only person she could turn to was Wang Hu!
She knocked on the door, and Wang Hu quickly opened it with a serious expression.
"Comrade Du, what's wrong?"
Seeing that he looked too nervous, Du Ruoxia waved her hand and said, "Yang Zeyan said he was going out to take care of some things, so I came to talk to you because I was bored."
Wang Hu was puzzled by Du Ruoxia's words. This was unlike Du Ruoxia's personality; she was the kind of person who didn't like to say more than a few words.
Wang Hu asked directly, "What do you want to ask?"

"It's nothing much, I just wanted to ask you about Yang Zeyan's family situation. You know, even an ugly daughter-in-law has to be shown to the world eventually." She tried to relax and not let Wang Hu see through her act.
But Wang Hu looked at her with a puzzled expression, "Don't you know the Yang family's situation? Aren't they already married?"
Du Ruoxia was speechless. It turned out that Wang Hu didn't know that Yang Zeyan and she had a whirlwind marriage. How was she supposed to explain this?
"Well, we didn't exchange family information before we got our marriage certificate. Yang Zeyan knows about my situation, but I didn't ask about his," Du Ruoxia explained guiltily.
She didn't intend to hide the fact that she had gotten married in a flash. There were many people getting married in a flash these days, and even more a few years ago. She was just following the trend. It wasn't a big deal that she didn't know much about Yang Zeyan's family.
After listening, Wang Hu fell into deep thought, realizing that she hadn't married Yang Zeyan for any other reason. He then looked at Du Ruoxia with a different gaze than before.
“The Yang family’s situation is different from ordinary families, mainly because the people in the family are not ordinary people. I thought you knew that.” Wang Hu looked at Du Ruoxia calmly, but his expression became more serious than before.
“I don’t care about those superficial things. What I’m interested in is Yang Zeyan as a person. I don’t care about his family situation,” Du Ruoxia replied without changing her expression.
Wang Hu's expression softened; he was pleased that Du Ruoxia had such an idea.
"That's good. I hope you can share his joys and sorrows!" Wang Hu said earnestly, and then added, "As for the situation at home, you'll find out when the time comes, so don't worry."
Du Ruoxia's heart skipped a beat. Why did she get the same message from Wang Hu as she did from Yang Zeyan? Why was the Yang family such a taboo topic?
She tentatively spoke again, "I think it's necessary for me to know about the elders of the Bone family beforehand. I can't go to Resilience empty-handed, can I?"
After a moment's thought, Wang Hu replied, "I have my grandparents and father above me, but I don't really need to worry about anything else."
"So what do they all like?" Du Ruoxia quickly asked.

Du Ruoxia chuckled, it seemed like she had asked something, but it also seemed like she hadn't asked anything at all.
Du Ruoxia walked back to her room from Wang Hu's door with a disappointed look. In the end, all she knew was that she needed to prepare three gifts.
