Chapter 140 Come on, whoever loses quits (1/2)

The Qiao family's carriage stopped at stall number eight, and the group of little beggars quickly ran over.

“Sister Lian’er, we slept here last night. That guy tried to urinate at your stall in the middle of the night, but we saw him and chased him away with stones.” Ah Da said, pointing to the burly uncle.

"Yeah, they even said they'd use the smell of urine to drive away your guests," the Indian man said.

"And then there's that guy who brought a hammer, trying to smash down the ground of your stall so you can't set up your business properly."

Ah Er pointed to a young stall owner.

“We chased him away, and I even bit him on the leg.”

Qiao Lian'er was shocked; she hadn't expected that some people would come in the middle of the night to play dirty tricks.

However, when the little beggars exposed their actions, the stall owners showed no tension or remorse whatsoever. Instead, they seemed perfectly at ease, as if it were their duty to do so, and even appeared somewhat annoyed at not having succeeded.

Some even looked at the little beggars with such hatred that they wished they could skin them alive.

There were more than just those two who were up to no good last night; there were others, but the little beggar was there to keep watch, so they didn't have a chance to do it.

"Little girl, what solution have you come up with? Which of the things the lady at stall number three said yesterday do you agree with?" The burly uncle raised his chin and said arrogantly.

He was referring to the old lady at stall number three. Yesterday, when they were about to leave, she told them they could either hand over their goods or split the profits—a clever idea indeed.

"Yes, what can you say? After all, you're the ones who make all the money." The old lady was busy at her stall, and her husband and son had come along too.

The other stall owners were also staring at Qiao Lian'er; the atmosphere in this area seemed ready to erupt into battle at any moment.

Qiao Lian'er sneered and asked A'Da in a low voice, "Have you done everything I asked you to do?"

Ah Da said, "Lord Yang will be here soon."

The carriage curtain was lifted, and tall figures emerged from it, all of them long-limbed, robust men.

One, two, three, four, five—

Seven people came down and stood together, their brows furrowed and their gazes deep, like a mountain peak.

It looks like one of them could easily take on three.

The stall owners immediately had a bad feeling and became nervous.

"Anyone who forbids our family from setting up a stall here, step forward. If you beat us, we'll pack up and leave immediately," said Old Qiao.

Qiao Dayong: "We'll take turns fighting one by one. If you beat three of the seven of us, we'll concede defeat. But if you lose, you'll have to quit and never sell anything on this street again."

The stall owners immediately panicked.

They were all tall and strong; how could they possibly defeat them?

Judging by that aura, one punch could end a person's life.

"Little girl, is this the solution you were talking about?"

“Yes, if we don’t beat you into submission, even if we give you benefits, you’ll still come back to make things difficult for us. Let’s settle things with our fists,” Qiao Lian’er said.

The stall owners were furious. If they had known this would happen, they shouldn't have left themselves an escape route yesterday. They should have given the mother and her children a good beating and made them back down.
