People passing by kimchi stalls can't help but stop and take a look. Some decide to buy some to try, while others seem to be regulars who are already very familiar with the stall.
The mother and daughter busied themselves, picking out one piece of kimchi after another from the large jar, while Ling Xiao was in charge of collecting the money.
They're so busy they don't even have a spare moment.
But with money to be made, the three women all wore expressions of satisfaction.
Da Yong also curled the corners of his mouth. He was originally worried that Ling Yin would be waiting for them and watch helplessly as the kimchi he had made was wasted.
The thought of such a situation pained him.
Who would have thought that they would sell so well here?
Da Yong almost slapped his forehead; he had really overthought things.
Looking up, Lingyin saw Qiao Lian'er and the others.
"Mother, they're here. You go ahead with your work." Lingyin walked over with a bright smile.
She glanced at Dayong and saw him staring at her like that, as if they were old friends who hadn't seen each other for years. Her cheeks flushed.
Then I saw the woman next to Dayong. She looked somewhat like Dayong. She must be Dayong's mother.
"Sister Lingyin, how many days have you been selling here?" Qiao Lian'er asked.
"We've been selling for five days now. After the heavy rain, the roads were severely blocked. After a few days of clearing, there were fewer obstacles on the road. We took a detour through the mountains and then onto the main road to get to the county town."
"During the heavy rain, I was making kimchi. I made enough for ten jars. The last two jars of kimchi should be sold out today."
Lingyin's eyes sparkled: "Thank you, Lian'er. You provided me with the chili peppers and taught me how to make this spicy cabbage. These days, our family can earn five or six hundred coins a day."
"We come to the county town to set up our stall after lunch. This kind of spicy cabbage is popular and sells out quickly, so we don't have to worry about not being able to sell it all."
"Also, I went to stall number eight, but I didn't see you. I wanted to tell you that we can sell our own goods, so there's no need to trouble you."
She now knows that as long as the taste is good enough, she won't have to worry about where she is.
