Chapter 374 The Formation Plays a Major Role: Victory in the North (1/2)

The sound of retching could be heard from outside; although the person was trying to control themselves, everyone could hear it.

The women looked at each other, and began to realize one thing: was Lingyin pregnant?

"You all eat first." Madam Feng hurriedly went out.

Qiao Lian'er ordered two more sour dishes and two more lightly flavored dishes from the owner.

Qiao Xier and Qiao Zhizhi ran to find a female doctor, who came over and took their pulses.

A smile appeared on the face of the female doctor with graying temples.

"They are twins, almost two months along, and the pregnancy is stable. I'll go back and get some medicine to help them stay healthy and bring it over."

After the female doctor finished speaking, she left again.

Upon hearing that they were twins, everyone's faces lit up with surprise. Two of them had arrived—what a wonderful thing!

But soon, a look of heartache appeared on Madam Feng's face: "Yin'er, carrying twins will be more tiring, thank you for your hard work."

Seeing how considerate her mother-in-law was, Lingyin felt a warmth in her heart.

"Mother, don't be afraid, I can endure this hardship."

She looked at Qiao Lian'er: "Lian'er, although I am pregnant, I still need to manage the shop as before. You must not let me go home."

Every day I'm busy and efficient, handling everything well. This sense of value is something I've never experienced before.

“Sister-in-law, you’re getting more and more amazing. I’m reluctant to let you go back. You’re only pregnant. I’ll let you rest when you’re in your late pregnancy,” Qiao Lian’er said.

She just sent Lingyin back. How is this any different from a heartless boss who fires a female employee as soon as she gets pregnant?

"But sister-in-law, promise me that you'll be careful while you're pregnant. People are coming and going, so don't get bumped or jostled."

Lingyin nodded: "I will."

The baby in her belly was her and Dayong's child, and she was filled with a sense of happiness, so she was determined to protect it well.

Feng hesitated at first, but then she thought that her daughter-in-law was so enthusiastic about managing the shop every day, which showed that she really liked it. She couldn't say anything that would spoil the mood, so she would come along whenever she had free time.

Lingyin could barely eat the new dishes, but she still had to go to work at the shop, so even though she couldn't eat much, she forced herself to eat her fill.

The female doctor brought over the prepared medicine, three doses in total.

"One dose of medicine can be decocted for three days, and drunk three times a day, morning, noon and night."

The restaurant owner said, "I have a medicine stove in my backyard. Why don't I brew it for my daughter so she can drink it today?"

"Either you leave one dose of medicine here, drink it at home in the morning and evening, and come to my place to drink it at noon."

"That's great, thank you so much, elder sister." Madam Feng said gratefully, "I'll give you the money."

"No need, no need, it's nothing at all," the proprietress waved her hand generously.

Madam Feng stayed behind to decoct the medicine. Once the medicine was ready, she took it to Lingyin. Passing by a general store, she stopped to look around and bought some brown sugar to put in a bowl.

Lingyin initially thought the medicine would be very bitter, so she pinched her nose and drank it, only to find that there was a sweet taste in the bitterness, and it wasn't too bad to drink.

"Mother, this medicine is sweet."

"Some medicines are naturally sweet." Madam Feng said with a loving expression, pleased to see her daughter-in-law not suffering from the medicine.

Lingyin understood in her heart, but she didn't expose it. She had a loving husband, a good mother-in-law, and a harmonious family.

She is so lucky in her life.

Feng packed ten jin of rice into the bag: "Why can't we just take advantage of people for free? Let's send some rice to that lady."

He then said to the accountant, "Mr. Jiang, please write this down."

"Okay." Mr. Jiang registered.
