"I'm not reconciled, I'm not convinced." Wu Qingjin squeezed out each word through gritted teeth, clenching her fist and slamming it hard onto the blanket.
“She trampled on my dignity to gain fame and profit. How can I let her go? How can I watch her be comfortable?”
"Since she's in this state because of me, then let me destroy her." Wu Qingjin's eyes were filled with gloom.
"Qingjin, what do you plan to do?"
Wu Qingjin grabbed Murong Shu's hand: "Shu, no matter what, you'll always be on my side, right?"
“We’ve been friends since we were kids, of course I’ll help you. We’re true best friends. Qiao Zhizhi is an ingrate, she’s two-faced.”
Wu Qingjin narrowed her eyes: "Then let her never be able to paint again."
"But before that, I still have to put on an act. Anyway, she's done it in front of me before, so it's fair."
Next, Qiao Zhizhi needs to prepare for starting her classes.
She plans to buy a spacious storefront near the Qiao family's house and convert it into classrooms.
“Lian’er, I have money from selling paintings, and the family doesn’t need to contribute a single penny,” Qiao Zhizhi said.
"Okay, but I can design a plan for you to make the class more interesting."
"Yes, Lian'er is the best."
In prime locations in Beijing, unless something unexpected happens, almost no one is willing to put shops up for sale. After all, a shop can support three generations, and in Beijing, it can even support eight generations.
At times like these, the only way to acquire a storefront is to offer an attractive price.
After searching around, Qiao Zhizhi found a large leather goods store on the main street in the center. Business was slow, and it was a little over a quarter of an hour away from the Qiao family's house. Qiao Zhizhi liked the store, but the owner didn't want to sell it to her.
"I'll just switch to another business." The boss waved his hand: "In a location like this, it's impossible for me not to succeed."
He looked at the two sisters with a half-smile: "I say, you two little brats saw that I had no business and wanted to take over my shop. You're really good at scheming."
"Isn't this supposed to help you out, boss? We'll offer a high price so you can find a better place elsewhere, change the feng shui, and maybe whatever you sell will bring in a lot of money," Qiao Lian'er said.
"High price? How high is it?" The shopkeeper glanced at her.
"How about this, add another 20% above the market price."
"No way." The shop owner shook his head: "This shop of mine has been passed down for five generations. It's only slightly more expensive than this. I can't possibly sell it."
“That’s a 30% increase, it’s rare to see such a high price. We’ve already shown a lot of sincerity.” Qiao Lian’er frowned.
Adding three taels when the price is equal to ten taels results in a huge premium.
The boss seemed a little hesitant, which proved that he was interested.
However, this was not enough for him to make a decisive decision. Just as he was about to raise the price, two wealthy young ladies who were shopping together saw Qiao Zhizhi and happily came up to greet her.
They first greeted Qiao Lian'er, then surrounded Qiao Zhizhi and said warmly, "Miss Zhizhi, you've opened a classroom here. When will classes start? We'd better come and register early so we don't miss out on seats."
"We're still looking for a storefront. Let's take it over first," Qiao Zhizhi said.
The boss had stood up at some point, looked at Qiao Lian'er, then at Qiao Zhizhi, his face filled with excitement.
