Ren Wan stood in the living room of the villa, her eyes fixed on the door. Her whole body was like a frozen sculpture, anxiously waiting for Shen Song to return.
Her fingers unconsciously tugged at the corner of her clothes, and her nails almost dug into her flesh.
Finally, Ren Wan saw Shen Song's figure appear at the door. She immediately stepped forward quickly, her voice trembling a little: "Brother Song, have you heard about Weiwei?"
"What did Shen Qingli say?"
Shen Song sighed, and that sigh seemed to contain endless helplessness and fatigue. He shook his head and said, "No, Qingli has never seen Weiwei. Ren Wan, let's call the police!"
"Weiwei has been tracking her for several days. We have already called the police and asked them to help find her."
"Call the police now." Shen Song said as he reached for his cell phone.
At this moment, Ren Wan seemed to come to her senses suddenly, and she reached out and grabbed Shen Song's hand, with an unquestionable firmness in her tone: "Brother Song, don't call the police."
Shen Song looked at Ren Wan in confusion, only to see that her brows were tightly knitted and her face was full of pain. He was really puzzled, "Why didn't you call the police?"
"We asked everything we could ask and looked everywhere we could, but we've never seen Weiwei."
"If we continue like this, I'm really worried about what will happen to her."
Shen Song's words were like a heavy hammer, hitting Ren Wan's heart heavily.
Why isn't she anxious and flustered?
These days, she hardly slept a wink, and her body was almost crushed by anxiety and worry.
However, she knew in her heart that if she called the police, the kidnapping of the child would no longer be concealed.
Weiwei has disappeared. If I get dragged into this matter again, this family will really be finished.
Ren Wan bit her lip and said, "Brother Song, don't let me look for her again. If Weiwei comes back at night, the police will have worked in vain."
She knew in her heart that this reason was a bit far-fetched, but that was all she could say at the moment.
Shen Song's expression changed slightly, and a trace of displeasure flashed in his eyes. He looked at Ren Wan deeply and said, "You decide for yourself."
After saying that, he walked upstairs without looking back.
…
After several days of endless torture, Shen Weiwei felt that her life was coming to an end, and it seemed that she would soon go to see King Yan.
She lay weakly on the cold floor, her limbs powerless, she didn't even have the strength to lift a finger, her eyes opened and closed, and her consciousness began to become blurred.
Suddenly, a man in black appeared in her sight.
She closed her eyes consciously, thinking she was hallucinating.
When she tried hard to open her eyes again and see clearly, she didn't know where she got the strength from, but she mustered up her spirit and got up from the ground.
Her lips were chapped and her voice was hoarse and almost inaudible, but she kept repeating, "Please let me go, let me go, I know I'm wrong."
Her eyes were filled with fear and pleading, "Brother-in-law, please let me go."
"Shut up, don't call me brother-in-law. You were the one who called me brother-in-law." Zhou Yanchen shouted in a low voice, with endless anger and disgust in his voice.
He took two steps forward, and his shadow enveloped Shen Weiwei. "Shen Weiwei, I heard that after so many days, you still haven't admitted that you kidnapped your children?"
His eyes were like two sharp blades, piercing straight at Shen Weiwei.
Shen Weiwei sat paralyzed on the ground, tears already flowing, she shook her head desperately, and kept saying: "I'm wrong, I'm really wrong, Mr. Zhou, please forgive me this time."
"Save you this time?"
"If we hadn't rushed in time that night, would you have thought of sparing your child?"
"Didn't you go to the mountain in the middle of the night to confirm whether they were really gone?"
Zhou Yanchen looked at the vicious woman in front of him, but the anger in his heart did not subside at all.
Shen Weiwei finally met Zhou Yanchen, so how could she give up her only chance to survive?
"Mr. Zhou, I was wrong. I really know I was wrong." Shen Weiwei's voice was filled with tears, almost begging, "Aren't those two children fine? They have been punished, so you can't let them go."
Her words were filled with anxiety and fear, and every word seemed to be squeezed from the bottom of her heart.
Zhou Yanchen stood quietly, with the light coming from behind him, outlining his tall figure and casting his face into shadow.
The corners of his lips slowly curved up, but there was no warmth in that curve, "It's not impossible to let you go."
When Shen Weiwei heard this, a gleam of light flashed across her dull eyes, as if she had grabbed a life-saving piece of driftwood while drowning. "Thank you, Mr. Zhou. I know how capable you are."
There was a hint of relief in her voice for surviving the disaster, and she forced a flattering smile on her face.
"Why are you in such a hurry?" Zhou Yanchen said slowly, his voice low and calm, "I said I would let you go, but I didn't say now."
Shen Weiwei's smile froze on her face. She stared at Zhou Yanchen with confusion and fear in her eyes. "What? What do you mean by that?"
Zhou Yanchen took a step forward, and the aura emanating from him made Shen Weiwei unconsciously take a step back.
"Shen Weiwei, do you think Zhou Yanchen is easy to mess with?"
"You've always given your mother a lot of bad advice, right? You've made Xiaoli suffer so much injustice, and now you're taking revenge on her both old and new grudges."
Shen Weiwei's face turned pale, her lips trembled slightly, but she couldn't utter a word.
She knew that Zhou Yanchen would not let her go easily this time.
"Chang You, bring him in." Zhou Yanchen's voice echoed in the room.
Just as he finished speaking, Chang You came in with two men, one of whom was holding a wolfhound.
The wolfhound let out a low roar, and its sharp claws scratched the ground, making a creepy sound.
Shen Weiwei's face was filled with fear. She could no longer hold back and screamed, "Zhou Yanchen, what do you want to do? Let them take the dog away."
Her voice was filled with despair and fear, and her body began to tremble uncontrollably.
Zhou Yanchen looked at the man in front of him coldly, without a trace of sympathy in his eyes, "When we go will depend on your performance."
His voice seemed to come from the depths of hell, making Shen Weiwei feel a chill to the bone.
Shen Weiwei collapsed to the ground, tears welling up in her eyes.
She knew that what she had done finally brought retribution.
Zhou Yanchen looked at Shen Weiwei quietly, without any pleasure in his heart.
He thought of the grievances Shen Qingli had suffered in the Shen family, and felt endless heartache.
Shen Weiwei rolled and crawled towards Zhou Yanchen, "Mr. Zhou, I beg you, let them take the dog away, and you can say whatever you want."
All the Shen Weiweis from before came over, but she really couldn't do anything about this dog.
If she were left with them, she would be torn to pieces.
Zhou Yanchen winked at them and turned to walk towards them.
Chang You followed closely behind him, "Boss, where are you going now?"
"Let's go back to Repulse Bay first."
