"Keke, Dingding." Shen Ning called softly through the door.
"Mommy." The two little guys were sitting in the house bored, and suddenly heard Shen Ning's voice. They immediately ran to the door happily and screamed excitedly through the door.
"Keke, Dingding, listen up, you two, apologize to your dad first. Grandma sent a lot of delicious food, and Mommy hasn't eaten yet. Let's go eat together, okay?" Shen Ning asked gently and softly.
"Okay." The two little guys agreed in unison.
Shen Ning smiled slightly: "Then you wait for me."
She walked towards Li Zhenting's study.
In the study.
Li Zhenting crossed his legs, scrolled through his phone with his fingers, and occasionally took a sip of tea from his cup in a depressed manner, with a thick cloud covering his face.
Shen Ning walked in hurriedly.
"Mr. Li, I'm sorry. Ding Ding and Ke Ke shouldn't have talked back to you. I apologize to you on their behalf. It's so late and the children haven't had dinner yet. Let them out to eat first. I'll teach them a lesson later and let them come and apologize to you, okay?" She asked humbly with a flattering smile on her face.
But Li Zhenting acted as if he didn't hear it and continued drinking tea and browsing his phone.
"Mr. Li, you are the father of these children. Don't you feel bad for them? But he has stomach problems before. If he is hungry, his stomach problems will flare up and it will be very painful. He is still so young. Can you bear it? If you have any opinions about me, just come to me. Please don't be angry with the children." Shen Ning continued to speak kindly, using both soft and hard tactics.
Li Zhenting's slightly raised left foot shook, and his slippers fell to the ground.
Shen Ning immediately half bent down, picked up the slippers and put them on his feet as gently as the wind.
Li Zhenting half-closed his eyes and glanced at her indifferently.
He didn't believe that Shen Ning would be willing to carry his shoes for him. She hated him to death now!
"Chen Ning, who were you with at noon today?" he suddenly asked grimly.
"Noon?" Shen Ning was startled, and suddenly remembered, "Oh, right, I happened to meet Mr. Jing when I was leaving. He wanted to see me about work, so I chatted with him for a while."
She watched his face as she spoke.
Why would this man suddenly ask this?
"Really?" He snorted disdainfully.
"Yes, it was definitely just about work. I have nothing to do with him."
"Talking about work?" He sneered again, "You're such a good talker."
"If you don't believe me, I can't help it. Mr. Jing and I really have nothing. I will never find love again in this life. The only purpose of my life is to raise three children and let them become people who contribute to society."
Li Zhenting half-closed his eyes and looked at her, humming without comment.
"Mr. Li, let me add some water for you." Shen Ning saw that there was no water in his cup, and hurriedly and attentively snatched his cup and filled it with steaming hot water, then handed it to her with both hands.
In the face of Shen Ning's humble words and deliberate flattery, Li Zhenting's expression finally eased.
He handed the key to Shen Ning.
Shen Ning took it and ran away.
As soon as Coco and Ding Ding came out and saw their mommy, they both threw themselves into her arms.
Shen Ning hugged the two little guys, his eyes moist.
"Mommy, we are hungry, let's go eat." Coco said weakly while touching her belly.
In order to fight against Daddy today, he really had to endure a lot of pain, especially when grandma brought all those delicious foods upstairs, his little stomach started to growl.
