It was almost twelve o'clock when Shen Ning returned to the Li family's old house.
It was dark inside and everyone was asleep.
She turned on the flashlight on her cell phone, walked to the corridor and looked upstairs.
The children should all be sleeping well. Li Jiaojiao can take good care of them. At worst, Li Zhenting will check on them.
She didn't want to go upstairs because Li Zhenting and Shen Mei were upstairs and she didn't want to see them at all.
She turned and walked towards the bedroom on the first floor.
Tomorrow, guests will arrive one after another, and it will be much busier than today.
She opened the bedroom door, placed her bag on the clothes drying rack beside her, and walked into the shower room.
The smell of alcohol on Jing Chenxi was still on her clothes. She had sweated a lot while helping him, so she had to take a shower first.

Shen Ning was taking off her clothes.
Sudden
The door opened.
"Ah." She turned her head and saw a man in a nightgown standing behind her. His face was so cold and frightening that she screamed. She immediately tightened her clothes in front of her chest and turned around.
"Li Zhenting, are you sick? You're not sleeping so late and you even ran to my bathroom." She was very angry and glared at the man in front of her.
Li Zhenting pursed his lips, took a few steps closer, and suddenly grabbed her wrist and asked, "What did you do tonight?"
"I didn't do anything." Shen Ning avoided his aggressive gaze and tried to shake off his hand.
"Hurry up and tell me." Li Zhenting sniffed. She reeked of alcohol and exuded a terrifying chill. "My patience is limited."
Shen Ning was inexplicably frightened.
When this man goes crazy, she can't bear it.
"Jing Chenxi is drunk, I'm going to take him home." She told the truth.
"He was drunk, why should you go to send him off? Is there no one left in the Jing family? Or did you go there voluntarily?" Li Zhenting's face was as gloomy as a piece of iron.
"He got drunk because of me. I feel guilty. What's wrong with sending him off?" Shen Ning retorted unhappily.
"Because of you?" Li Zhenting narrowed his eyes.
"Yes, because I rejected him, he was very sad. He always cared about me."
Li Zhenting looked at her and asked, "Did you break up with him?"
"I guess so." Shen Ning turned her head away. Nothing had ever happened between them. Some time ago, she admitted in front of Li Zhenting that she liked Jing Chenxi, but it was just a way to counter him and deliberately make him angry.
"You think I will believe it?"
"Believe it or not, I don't need you to believe me. I've said everything I need to say. Please get out of here immediately. I'm going to take a shower and go to bed. I have more important things to do tomorrow."
"You knew there would be a lot of work tomorrow? And yet you came back so late?" Li Zhenting's face, which had softened for a moment, darkened again. He suddenly clasped his hands around her waist and pulled her closer. "You were just going to see him off, so why did you let him hold you?"
Shen Ning was stunned. Did this guy have eyes?
"You're following me?"
"You? You're not worthy of me following you." Li Zhenting felt guilty but refused to admit it.
"Then how did you know he hugged me?"
"Just look at the smell of alcohol on you. If he hadn't hugged you, how could that be possible?"
Shen Ning felt that this explanation was acceptable and felt relieved. If this guy was following her all the time, that would be terrible.
"He was drunk. I and his assistant just helped him get into the car. There's no need to hold him. Get out of here now. Don't waste my time."
"Answer me first, what did you do with him tonight?"
Shen Ning's eyes widened: "He's drunk, what else can he do?"
"Hey, Chen Ning, do you really not understand or are you pretending not to understand? You must know where the saying "drunk and promiscuous" came from, right?"
After Shen Ning was stunned for a moment, his face flushed with anger.
