Seeing his awkward expression, Xu Zhaoyue knew it was He Kaiyuan who had insisted on it. Who would come to someone's house for a gathering and then hide in their room?
Inviting him over would have been even more inappropriate. Oh dear, Xu Zhaoyue secretly rolled her eyes, but immediately regained her composure. "Hmm, I won't say anything. Let's go in together."
"Okay." Xu Zhaohao followed her into the house.
Xu Zhaoming had been half-forced and half-invited to come, but when he saw Xu Zhaoyue and Xu Zhaohao were also there, his impatient expression immediately disappeared. He tossed his hair and went inside without missing a step.
"Father, Mother, I'm back. Did you miss me?" Xu Zhaohao went straight to his parents as soon as he entered. Xu Guangcai patted him on the shoulder and said, "You've grown stronger."
His stepmother, standing beside him, also looked him over. "I see you've gotten darker and thinner. You'd better eat more today."
"Wow, this is from military training, these muscles are really strong." Xu Zhaohao said as he showed off his biceps, which were noticeably different from before. Of course, his parents didn't know what his physique was like before.
Seeing their enthusiasm, Xu Zhaoming pursed his lips and said, "Alright, he doesn't only come back once a year, why are you so happy?" He then glanced at Xu Zhaoyue, and her happy expression seemed fake.
“Your brother is about to go on a long trip, how can you not worry?” Her stepmother rolled her eyes at her and then gestured for everyone to sit down. “Don’t stand, sit down and eat.”
After everyone was seated, Butler Xu began to serve the dishes.
Yue Lanxing and He Kaiyuan arrived at Xu Zhaohao's villa. "Young Master He, should I call the chef over now, or should we schedule a time?"
"Let's do it now, I won't take up any more of your time later." He Kaiyuan took the water handed to him by a servant. In fact, everyone in the mansion was used to the young master's visits.
"Okay." Yue Lanxing walked to the phone and dialed the number for Villa No. 1. Xiao Nan answered the phone, "Hello, this is the Xu Family Mansion."
"Sister Xiaonan, how many chefs do we have in our villa? Young Master He is at the young master's villa, so let the chefs come and cook." After hearing the call connected, Yue Lanxing finished his opening remarks and explained the situation.
Xiao Nan agreed quickly, "Okay, I'll send someone over right away." Then she hung up the phone.
While waiting for the chef to arrive, Yue Lanxing was thinking about how to strike up a conversation with He Kaiyuan. People were coming and going around her, and she tidied up another room.
Yue Lanxing looked at the guest room upstairs that had been opened and thought to himself that perhaps they wouldn't sleep separately. Thinking of this, he immediately turned to look at He Kaiyuan and saw that He Kaiyuan was drinking tea. He was even better at putting on an act than Yue Lanxing.
A short while later, Xiao Nan arrived with her people. Yue Lanxing took the opportunity to ask He Kaiyuan, "Young Master He, please use these chefs for today. They will probably be the same for tomorrow night as well."
"No need for special preparations, it's not my first time here, just do it the same as before," He Kaiyuan said, seemingly undemanding. Yue Lanxing nodded, and then left with Xiao Nan.
"What about him?" Xiao Nan asked on the way.
Yue Lanxing shook his head and was about to speak when he noticed that there were two people between him and Xiao Nan. He looked behind him and saw that no one was following, so he stopped to speak this time.
When Xiao Nan saw that he had stopped, she stopped as well. After they stood still, one looked to the left and the other to the right.
“Young Master said not to let anyone else know that Young Master He came back with him. Miss already knows about this. The news won’t spread there, and we won’t let Master know when we leave either,” Yue Lanxing said.
Xiao Nan tried to understand. The master and the others had all returned. As a junior, Young Master He should have gone over to greet them. Why was he alone in the villa?
"Miss knows? Okay, you can go back now. I'll go pick you up." Xiao Nan felt something was wrong, but since Miss already knew what was going on, she didn't need to think about it anymore.
"Okay." Yue Lanxing and Xiao Nan separated, and when Xu Zhaoyue came out, Xiao Nan immediately appeared from the side.
Xu Zhaoyue stood there, and Xu Zhaohao, who came out from behind, was too embarrassed to just walk past her, so he walked up to her side and waited.
"Miss, I've already gone over there with the kitchen staff," Xiao Nan said softly. Xu Zhaoyue nodded, then looked at Xu Zhaohao, who seemed hesitant to leave, and said, "You go back first, I'll take a walk before I go back."
"Okay, I'm going back now." Xu Zhaohao readily agreed and immediately ran forward happily, disappearing in a flash.
Xu Zhaoyue walked slowly behind with Xiao Nan. Judging from Xiao Hao's behavior just now, he was really going both ways. However, she still had to let him go out for a while and not get involved in family matters.
Xu Zhaohao jogged back and saw He Kaiyuan drinking tea as soon as he entered. "Hey, you haven't eaten? Why are you sitting here?"
He Kaiyuan put down his cup; he had waited here specifically for this. "I've already eaten. I didn't eat with my family, so there's no need to dawdle for so long. How are you? Are you full?"
"If I'm full, why would I come back hungry?" Xu Zhaohao said with a smile.
Upon seeing the young lady return, Yue Lanxing immediately came over, and the two of them went to the study together. "Young Master He wants to stay here for two days, and he doesn't want the master and the others to know. Isn't that too obvious?"
Xu Zhaoyue was silent for a while after hearing this. She walked to the sofa and sat down, while Yue Lanxing went to pour her some water.
"I don't want water, go get me a bottle of wine." Xu Zhaoyue said, sitting on the sofa without turning her head, but Yue Lanxing behind her clearly paused for a moment. "Okay, I'll go get it."
