Chapter 116 Startled

His decision only required these people to carry it out. After the announcement, everyone left, leaving Yue Lanxing alone sitting there. He looked at the empty conference hall, and the more spacious the room was, the smaller he seemed.

"Young Miss, where are you now?" Yue Lanxing muttered to herself. The young lady had said before that if she disappeared, she would be able to find her. She had confidently agreed at the time, but what happened?

The bright sunlight outside shone through the glass, somewhat dazzling, but he didn't look away, just stared at it until tears welled up in his eyes.

He only walked out of the conference hall after torturing himself. When the others saw him come out, they didn't dare to breathe. Yue Lanxing had only been in charge of the company for a little over two months, so the fact that everyone was so afraid of him meant that he must have used some methods.

"President Yue, Xiao Nan called and asked us to come back." Xue Huzi was waiting for Yue Lanxing in the office. Now their relationship had changed from colleagues to superior and subordinate.

Yue Lanxing paused, "Is there any news about the young lady?" Her gaze, which had remained unchanged since they left the conference hall, suddenly sparked.

Xue Huzi paused for a moment, not wanting to shatter Yue Lanxing's expectations. He lowered his head and said, "No, she came back from out of town yesterday and found something while cleaning the room this morning."

"It was written by the young lady. She wasn't quite sure what it meant, so she asked you to come over."

"Okay, I'll go now." Yue Lanxing felt a pang of disappointment, but still managed a subconscious smile.

What people outside the office saw was that Yue Lanxing walked into the office with a world-weary look on her face, and came out in less than three minutes, but her complexion was several levels better than before.

Yue Lanxing didn't dare to delay for a moment. He appeared at Villa No. 1 very quickly, and the gate could be opened without even reporting it. This was thanks to the hard work he put in during his training.

"What's going on? What did Miss write?" Yue Lanxing ran in as soon as she got out of the car and saw Xiao Nan and Aunt Wu chatting.

"This place... how did you get here so quickly? Did I just call?" Xiao Nan subconsciously glanced at her watch; she arrived in less than an hour.

Looking at Yue Lanxing's attire, Xiao Nan realized he must have come from the company. She was surprised for a moment, but then understood his eagerness. "I left it in the study. Come with me."

"Okay." Yue Lanxing followed him upstairs.

Xiao Nan placed the box where Xu Zhaoyue had put her things on the desk. "It was originally a big box, and next to this small box are the contracts and seals of the companies you gave me."

“When you came to pick it up, I thought this little box hadn’t been touched, so I didn’t tidy it up. It’s almost Chinese New Year, and I wanted to take everything out to air it out, and that’s when I found this.”

Xiao Nan opened the box and took out an unsealed envelope.

Yue Lanxing took it slowly, glancing at Xiao Nan's expression. He reassured himself that it wasn't a bad thing that she wasn't upset, and felt a light weight on his hand after receiving it.

A letter doesn't weigh much anyway, so Yue Lanxing didn't hesitate to pull it out. Inside, there was only one sentence: "I may have to leave for a while..."

There were only these few words, but it was indeed the young lady's handwriting. Yue Lanxing was unsure whether she should relax or not.
