The sound of fireworks exploding filled her ears. Just as she made her wish, she opened her eyes to see the fireworks at their most beautiful moment. "So beautiful!" she exclaimed. "Next year will definitely be even more beautiful."
As Xu Zhaoyue stood under the fireworks making a wish, Yue Lanxing happened to look up and see the fireworks as well.
However, Yue Lanxing only saw fireworks at other people's homes. There was no sound at Maple Leaf Mansion. The Xu family only set off a few strings of firecrackers this year. The holiday without any festive atmosphere was not very comfortable.
