Xu Zhaoyue didn't like to talk during the meal, so Yue Lanxing would put food on her plate. After Xu Zhaoyue had almost finished eating, Yue Lanxing would bring her some hawthorn water and then finish her own food.
Xu Zhaoyue drank hawthorn water while watching Yue Lanxing eat. Yue Lanxing, afraid that she would get impatient while waiting, would occasionally look up at her. "Eat in peace, I'm not going to run away," Xu Zhaoyue said with a smile in her eyes.
Yue Lanxing nodded, ate a few bites, and then stood up to clear the dishes. After putting everything in the kitchen, he started washing the dishes. Xu Zhaoyue noticed his unhappiness.
"Lanxing?" Xu Zhaoyue walked over. "Miss, please wait outside for a while. How can you go into the kitchen?" Yue Lanxing was still trying to stop her from coming in, but he didn't look at Xu Zhaoyue once.
How could Xu Zhaoyue possibly listen to him? She walked directly to his side, and Yue Lanxing could no longer hide the tears in his eyes. He turned his head and the tears slid down his cheeks.
"Okay, I'm really back, I won't disappear again." Xu Zhaoyue hugged Yue Lanxing's waist from behind, comforting him. "You don't need to blame yourself. It's not your fault that I disappeared and lost my memory."
Yue Lanxing wiped her hands clean, then turned around and hugged Xu Zhaoyue. "From just now until now, I've been scared. I'm so scared that all of this is fake."
“It’s not fake, we’re hugging right now.” Xu Zhaoyue gently patted his back. “You could never dream of something this real.”
Yue Lanxing suddenly lowered his head after hearing the words "Is this a dream?" and stared blankly at Xu Zhaoyue, as if he really doubted the authenticity of the matter. Xu Zhaoyue found his expression rather cute.
"Mwah," Xu Zhaoyue lifted her foot and kissed Yue Lanxing's cheek. "Do you still think you're dreaming?"
Yue Lanxing's eyes widened. "No, I'm not dreaming." She didn't kiss his face in her dream, but Yue Lanxing didn't dare to say it.
With her ears turning red, Yue Lanxing carried Xu Zhaoyue outside in a sweeping motion.
"Okay, when we get back I'll announce to everyone that you're my boyfriend, okay?" Xu Zhaoyue said.
Yue Lanxing should have been happy, but now alarm bells were ringing in his mind. He was sure Xu Guangcai was in the big family that everyone had announced. "Miss, I admit my mistake first. I have been going against your father in Shanghai for the past six months."
"I didn't mean to, it's just that the Xu family originally belonged to the eldest daughter, and it can't be given to someone else, so I... I..." Yue Lanxing couldn't open her mouth, wondering how to make the matter sound more amicable.
"You didn't find him somewhere, did you?" Xu Zhaoyue's first thought was about his safety.

Looking at the silent Xu Zhaoyue, Yue Lanxing's first reaction was to admit her mistake, "It's my fault, I shouldn't have."
“You’re not wrong.” Xu Zhaoyue interrupted him, then quickly explained after realizing her tone, “The ones who are wrong are those who know there are doubts but don’t investigate.”
Xu Zhaoyue stared coldly at the empty glass, lost in her own thoughts. Yue Lanxing hesitated for a moment, then picked up the glass and poured herself another one.
Xu Zhaoyue had long been prepared for a funeral, but fortunately Yue Lanxing stopped her. Otherwise, she would have been buried with Xu Zhaoming, which would have been a great disgrace.
Xiao Nan and the others' reactions were as expected. Even Xiao Hao did his best and did not let her down.
But half a year is too long. She was afraid that when she went back, everything would be different, that her friends and family would change their attitudes, that what she could easily have would be out of reach, and that the people who loved her would give up on her.
"This cup isn't cold enough..." Yue Lanxing said as she touched the cup as she came over. "Huh?" Xu Zhaoyue didn't hear clearly, so she subconsciously turned around, but she instinctively touched her face and, sure enough, touched a tear.
Upon feeling the tears, Xu Zhaoyue immediately lowered her head and wiped them away from her cheeks.
Yue Lanxing restrained herself from stepping forward, paused for a few seconds before sitting down, and placed the cup on the table as if she hadn't seen anything. "This cup wasn't cold enough, so I added more ice, but it seems to taste bland."
Seeing that he didn't mention what had just happened, Xu Zhaoyue's expression returned to normal. "If I drank any more, it would have turned sour. It's just right now."
After drinking half of the drink, Xu Zhaoyue saw that it was getting late and prepared to go back. Yue Lanxing saw her off with great care, but Xue Huzi had already prepared a car. Yue Lanxing almost rolled her eyes at his diligence.
In the end, Xu Zhaoyue returned to the Qin family with Yue Lanxing. In the past, Yue Lanxing would drive while Xu Zhaoyue sat in the back. Now, the two of them sat together in the back, and Xu Zhaoyue even introduced the scenery along the way to him.
"I'll walk you to the door." Yue Lanxing got out of the car with Xu Zhaoyue. They insisted on sticking together even though it was only a few steps away. After taking a couple of steps, their hands naturally met.
Xu Zhaoyue looked ahead and saw four guards. "Ahem, this isn't our front door, so be careful. I'm going in." She then tried to let go of their hands.
"Isn't it enough to just go back to the Xu family?" Yue Lanxing asked deliberately. Xu Zhaoyue pretended to punch him. "Alright, alright, our young lady can't be violent outside. I'll watch you go in and then I'll leave." Yue Lanxing reluctantly let go of her hand.
"I'll beat you up when we get back." Xu Zhaoyue raised her fist and shook it, then couldn't help but run inside first.
After running for a while, Xu Zhaoyue thought Yue Lanxing should have gotten into the car, so she looked back and happened to run into Yue Lanxing waving at her. She was so bright that she was particularly attractive from the outside with the lights on in the yard.
