"Actually, I think it's because we've never spent time together in winter, right? And I haven't celebrated your birthday either." These were Xu Zhaoyue's true feelings, and she was even in a state of amnesia when she saw the first snow.
Yue Lanxing blinked, then quickly realized, "Birthdays come every year, and we still have many years to go. We'll get engaged when we see snow in winter, doesn't that symbolize growing old together?"
Xu Zhaoyue couldn't help but smile as she watched him act all innocent. "Well, it's a good omen anyway."
"Alright, go get the map. I'll leave these here for now." Xu Zhaoyue directed Yue Lanxing to get to work, while she sat down to admire the design drafts.
When Yue Lanxing returned with the map, Xu Zhaoyue had already sorted out the design drafts. "These are the ones I've seen that aren't suitable for me to wear anymore. These few are not bad." Xu Zhaoyue was looking at them carefully.
"I'll urge them to design new ones. Let me know if you have any designs you'd like to add. But what do you need the map for?" Yue Lanxing put away all the design drafts.
Xu Zhaoyue spread out the map. "I want to see if there's a suitable place to build a new research building."
“I want to move the staff here to the original research building and then find a new place to build another one. Many machines require more professional maintenance techniques, and research is best done in a quiet environment.”
“Once we’ve chosen a location, we can start construction at the same time as the original site of Xu’s Hospital. It should be finished in five months.” After some deliberation, Xu Zhaoyue found the most suitable location.
For the next month, Xu Zhaoyue was extremely busy. First, she moved the company, then she negotiated business with the landowner, and then she had to gather researchers to discuss what the new research building should be equipped with.
Two groundbreaking ceremonies were held. Xu Zhaoyue was at the hospital in the morning and arrived at the new research building site in the afternoon.
Once these matters were settled, the Qin and Jin families arrived together.
"They'll arrive tomorrow, but Grandma Qin will be taking the land route. We'll pick her up in the morning, and the Jin family will arrive at the dock in the afternoon. Luckily, no one from the Yue family is coming, otherwise we'd both be too busy to handle everything."
After Xu Zhaoyue finished speaking, she remembered something, "Oh dear, has Mingyuan never left? No wonder."
"Yes, she's been staying at Maple Leaf Mansion, so you don't need to worry about her. She goes to see Chen Yun every day; the two of them have started a clothing design company together." Yue Lanxing and Yue Mingyuan's way of getting along is simply knowing that the other is still around.
"The two of them?" Xu Zhaoyue asked, her face full of gossip.
Yue Lanxing shook her head. "I don't know. We'll find out when the time comes."
But it's not just one couple whose time hasn't come yet.
"He Kaiyuan, I really have to go home. Let go of my hand. I'm not scared anymore." Xu Zhaohao looked at He Kaiyuan, who was still clinging to him, and tried to push him away.
"You're not scared anymore, but I'm still not over it." He Kaiyuan was still shaken. When Xu Zhaohao came that day, he thought it would be the same as usual, but when he saw Xu Zhaohao, he saw that Xu Zhaohao had blood on his hands and was dressed in all black.
He Kaiyuan could have joked about whether Xu Zhaohao had gone to steal if anyone else had done this, but Xu Zhaohao just stood in front of him and he couldn't say a word before he hugged him.
Xu Zhaohao only stopped him when he felt he could hardly breathe, saying, "Let go, I can't breathe."
"Oh, where have you been? Who have you been with? Who did you go with?" He Kaiyuan quickly pulled Xu Zhaohao into the house.
“With my sister and Brother Yue, we took care of those thugs who had been causing us trouble all at once.” Xu Zhaohao replied, then saw He Kaiyuan carrying a pile of clothes.
He Kaiyuan wanted him to hold it, but when he saw his hands, he gave up. "Go wash your hands first, then take a shower, and then I'll check if you're injured."
Xu Zhaohao was pushed into the bathroom. He Kaiyuan had prepared medicine outside. When Xu Zhaohao came out, he was clean and had no injuries.
"Look, I'm not injured. Brother Yue is right next to me. I'm perfectly fine, and I didn't even really put up a fight." Xu Zhaohao turned around to show that he was in good health.
"That's good. Let's go downstairs and get some late-night snacks." He Kaiyuan was relieved.
If the story ended there, He Kaiyuan wouldn't have ended up like this. Xu Zhaohao woke up in the middle of the night, got up and vomited everything. After finally calming him down, He Kaiyuan made sure he was asleep before he dared to close his eyes.
For the first few days, Xu Zhaohao didn't want to go out, and He Kaiyuan stayed with him. Xu Zhaohao called Xu Zhaoyue and said he would rest here for two days, but it turned out to be a month already.
Although it didn't interfere with his schooling or anything, Xu Zhaohao hadn't been home for a month, and even though Xu Zhaoyue was very busy, she sensed something was wrong. She even called him yesterday to ask him to come home for dinner.
"Why don't you come back with me?" Xu Zhaohao hesitated for a moment.
He Kaiyuan had been waiting for him to say that, and he immediately jumped up, "Okay, let's hurry back so Sister Zhaoyue doesn't keep waiting."
Xu Zhaohao's expression was indescribable; seeing He Kaiyuan's quick movements, he wondered whose house he was going to.
When Xu Zhaoyue saw Xu Zhaohao bring He Kaiyuan in, she felt the person next to her move. She turned her head and saw Yue Lanxing get up to greet them. In particular, He Kaiyuan seemed even happier than Xu Zhaohao. It was a strange feeling.
"Xiao Hao, Grandma Qin, whom I told you about, is coming to Shanghai tomorrow morning. You'll come with me to pick her up." Xu Zhaoyue only remembered what she wanted to say while eating.
Xu Zhaohao was deeply impressed by Grandma Qin. "Really? What time is it? Which exit do you come from?" He was really grateful to Grandma Qin for carrying his sister down from the fifth floor. If Grandma Qin came to Shanghai, they would definitely do their best to be a good host.
