Yue Lanxing didn't know why the young lady was so sure he could get into the Xu family, or where her confidence in him came from, but he was still very happy. Everyone who met him for the first time felt that he shouldn't be at the bottom, and after they learned the reason, they stopped saying anything.
This was the first time someone had affirmed his value so highly, especially since that person was the young lady herself. "For me, it would be an honor to work for the young lady, no matter where I am," Yue Lanxing said sincerely.
"Hmm? In that case, let's get to work." Xu Zhaoyue didn't know why he suddenly became so sentimental. She was getting tired of standing, so she walked towards the sofa.
"Yes, Miss, I'll measure the balcony right away." Yue Lanxing knew that what she had just said was a bit overstepping her bounds, but seeing that the young lady didn't mind and was even happier, she immediately started working.
Yue Lanxing took the tape measure and measured all the data on the balcony. After recording it, he stood there for a while, holding the tape measure. Just as Xu Zhaoyue was about to speak, he finally mustered up his courage.
"Miss, I also need your height and measurements. I need to take your measurements." Yue Lanxing spoke softly, but fortunately, there was no noise in the room except for the two of them.
Xu Zhaoyue had been a little bored, but upon hearing Yue Lanxing's words, she readily stood up and said, "Okay, let's go, where do we start?"
"It's just some basic data, let's measure your height first." Yue Lanxing walked over with a ruler, paper, and pen. Xu Zhaoyue cooperated well, "Pretty professional, do you need to take off your shoes?"
"No need, this height won't matter. Then it's arm length and waist circumference." Yue Lanxing stepped on the ruler himself, pulled it up with one hand, and used the other hand to measure it on Xu Zhaoyue's head to get a rough idea.
The arm measurements were completed quickly. When it came time to measure the waist, Yue Lanxing wrapped her arms around Xu Zhaoyue's waist and deliberately went behind her to take a rough measurement, without actually touching Xu Zhaoyue's body with the ruler.
"I've taken the measurements." Yue Lanxing took a deep breath, finally finishing her work. It seemed that not only the young lady's hair smelled of oranges, but what kind of perfume was it?
After hearing that the measurement was complete, Xu Zhaoyue subconsciously stretched, revealing the perfect curves of her waist to Yue Lanxing. Just as Xu Zhaoyue's hair brushed against the tip of his nose, he took a step back.
"Miss, do you have any materials you'd like to use?" Yue Lanxing asked quickly, taking the paper and pen from the coffee table before Xu Zhaoyue turned around.
Xu Zhaoyue thought he had some new idea, which was why he was so eager to ask her. "Um, I like textured ones, no smell, and the texture should be soft, that's all."
"Once I finish drawing the design, I'll go downstairs and discuss it with Uncle Sun. We can finish it tomorrow." Yue Lanxing focused all her attention on the design, her mind now filled with inspiration.
Seeing how quickly he got into the zone, Xu Zhaoyue praised him in her heart, but didn't say it aloud. Both of them were focused; one was focused on watching him focus.
"Knock knock knock..." A knocking sound rang out. "Miss, it's time for you to have some water," Xiao Nan's voice came from outside.
Yue Lanxing put down his pen and walked to the door in three steps. He glanced at the young lady and, seeing that she didn't object, opened the door. "Miss!" Xiao Nan called out as she came in, but seeing that it was Yue Lanxing who opened the door, she didn't say anything more.
Xiao Nan had two glasses of water on the plate in her hand, obviously considering that Yue Lanxing was also there. Xu Zhaoyue only felt thirsty when she saw Xiao Nan bringing the water over.
"You should drink a glass of water every two hours after you wake up during the day. Didn't you feel thirsty just now, Miss?" Xiao Nan placed a glass of water in Xu Zhaoyue's hand. She glanced at the paper on the table and then placed another glass on the table.
"Thank you," Yue Lanxing said.
Xu Zhaoyue took a sip of water, feeling a little guilty. "I forgot. But you're keeping an eye on things. I feel at ease with you here."
"Please enjoy your drink, Miss. Xiao Nan has to go now. She'll come back to clean up the cups later." Xiao Nan certainly didn't mean to blame the young lady. She had already brought the water and had nothing else to do, so she naturally went downstairs.
"Okay, go ahead." Xu Zhaoyue nodded. After Xiao Nan left, she took a few more sips of water from her glass. Then she saw Yue Lanxing's water glass and said, "I forgot you didn't drink any water either."
Yue Lanxing obediently picked up the cup and took a big gulp, her Adam's apple bobbing up and down. Xu Zhaoyue saw the word "sexy" in this action and unconsciously took another sip of water.
"Miss, I've finished drawing. I'm going to find Uncle Sun to discuss the timber." Yue Lanxing didn't see Xu Zhaoyue's gaze. He finished his water and picked up the manuscript.
"Okay, go ahead and get busy. Give me a surprise tomorrow." Xu Zhaoyue nodded and watched him leave.
After Yue Lanxing left, Xu Zhaoyue finally thought about getting down to business. She sat down at her desk and looked at the documents in front of her. She had already read them once before, but she was bored, so she decided to write down a plan that she could use when she went to the company.
Yue Lanxing went downstairs and found Uncle Sun. "Uncle Sun, can you take a look at the design I drew?" Uncle Sun took it and looked at it for a while. "Hmm, not bad. You do carpentry. Did the young lady ask you to draw this?"
“Yes, Miss wants a recliner for the balcony,” Yue Lanxing replied. “The material should have a texture, be soft, and have little odor. I’m a little undecided about what material to use, so I’d like to discuss it with you, Uncle Sun.”
"Hmm, to make something like this that can stretch, it does need to be on the softer side. Let's use red sandalwood; it also has a calming and soothing effect. Okay, let me take you to the lumber mill." Uncle Sun acted very quickly.
