Upon hearing this, Yue Lanxing looked towards the balcony and saw the young lady wearing a light green cheongsam, her figure graceful and serene.
He could see how white the young lady's calves were from his direction, but he didn't look at them for long and looked away after just one glance.
Yue Lanxing looked at the young lady's face. The sunlight was a bit dazzling, but his eyesight was good enough that he could even see clearly that the young lady's lips were not wearing lipstick, and they were a soft pink color.
“Uncle Sun has already finished making everything for me. I’ll take care of the rest. Is there anything you need, Miss?” Yue Lanxing’s observation only lasted a few seconds, and he answered the question quickly. Xu Zhaoyue did not notice his distraction just now.
Xu Zhaoyue wasn't just looking at Yue Lanxing upstairs; she was gazing at the distant mountain peaks when she heard Yue Lanxing ask her if she had any instructions. She hadn't before, but now she did.
"There's something I need you to do. Come up here first." Xu Zhaoyue beckoned to him, then turned and went back to her room.
Yue Lanxing wanted to ask if it was inappropriate for him to go to the young lady's room, but Xu Zhaoyue didn't give him a chance to say it. It would have been even more impossible if he had called out to her.
So Yue Lanxing went to the young lady's room, knocked on the door, and stood respectfully to the side to wait. Xu Zhaoyue opened the door and saw Yue Lanxing standing there with her head down. "You look like I'm making you stand there as punishment."
"Young Miss?" Yue Lanxing was wondering why the young lady had asked him to come up. He was a little distracted because he couldn't figure it out. It wasn't until he saw the shoes in front of him that he realized the young lady had opened the door.
Xu Zhaoyue felt his reaction was a bit excessive, but she didn't say anything. She simply opened the door and let him in, saying, "Come in, I have something to tell you."
"Yes." Yue Lanxing followed him in.
Xu Zhaoyue only realized that her room was a bit messy because of the fitting earlier when she let Yue Lanxing in. She could only sit on the chair at the dressing table. "Have you ever eaten Western food?"
"No." Yue Lanxing shook his head. He didn't know why the young lady wanted to ask this question, but he told the truth.
“Okay, I’ll teach you some Western dining etiquette during lunch, and you’ll come out with me tomorrow,” Xu Zhaoyue said.
Yue Lanxing lowered his head as soon as he entered. The rug given to him by the young master was right in front of him. He wondered how much it would cost to buy it. "Ah? Is Miss going out to discuss business? Is it inappropriate for me to come along?" That was his first reaction.
"Come a little closer. It's hard for you to stand up, being this tall." Xu Zhaoyue looked at Yue Lanxing's height. She couldn't notice it when she stood up, after all, her height of 172 cm was also considered tall.
Now that he was sitting down, he did have to crane his neck to look at Yue Lanxing. Xu Zhaoyue noticed that he was nervous because of her words, so she wanted to ease the tension.
When Yue Lanxing heard the young lady ask him to come over, he hesitated for a second before going over anyway. Because Xu Zhaoyue said that watching him was difficult, he knelt down on one knee after walking to the chair.
After Yue Lanxing knelt on one knee and looked up at the young lady, she was able to look at her eye level. If she bent down a little more, she would be looking up at the young lady.
Xu Zhaoyue was slightly surprised by his actions, but she remained calm. She had to admit that looking at Yue Lanxing from this angle gave her a rather indescribable feeling, so she didn't let Yue Lanxing get up.
"I'm going to have dinner with Miss Chen's Silk at the second floor of the Western restaurant tomorrow. She'll probably be bringing her boyfriend. I need you to keep an eye on things."
"Okay, Miss, but why do I have to learn Western dining etiquette?" Yue Lanxing didn't know why.
Xu Zhaoyue looked up at his face, her gaze sweeping over him from head to toe. Yue Lanxing's throat tightened at her look. Just as Yue Lanxing was about to lower his head, Xu Zhaoyue finally looked away. "Because you're good-looking."
"Huh?" Yue Lanxing didn't expect this reason. This answer didn't seem to be the answer to his question just now, but the young lady said he was pretty, and Yue Lanxing felt his mind was a little confused for a moment.
“They brought their male companions. Tashiro is too fierce, and Tiger looks too young. Am I supposed to bring Uncle Sun? Do you have any other options?” Xu Zhaoyue asked ambiguously, sounding like she was asking seriously, but also like she was teasing.
Yue Lanxing instinctively shook his head, "I don't know any other suitable candidates." He searched his mind and actually found someone. The young master was quite suitable in terms of etiquette, but he was far from good at reading people.
Yue Lanxing wasn't sure if she should be happy, so her expression froze, making her look a bit dazed.
Xu Zhaoyue smiled, her laughter bringing Yue Lanxing back to her senses. "That's you. Wear that suit tomorrow." After saying that, she thought for a moment before adding, "Xiao Hao bought it for you. I'll buy you a few more suits when we go out, so you can change them."
“Miss, you don’t need to go to such trouble. I don’t usually wear these suits, so buying them would just leave them sitting there unused, which is a waste of money,” Yue Lanxing reminded him. As a bodyguard, he didn’t need these suits.
"Miss, I've picked out three sets..." Xiao Nan pushed the door open and came in; Yue Lanxing hadn't closed the door earlier.
As soon as Xiao Nan entered, she saw Yue Lanxing kneeling at her young mistress's feet. The scene was so shocking that she froze in place until a maid behind her nudged her, bringing her back to her senses.
"I picked out three sets for you, Miss. I don't know if they're suitable now?" Xiao Nan freed one hand and gestured to the people behind her, telling them to wait. She herself remained standing there, not daring to move forward.
"Come in." Xu Zhaoyue didn't think there was anything wrong between her and Yue Lanxing, so she let Xiao Nan in without hesitation. Yue Lanxing noticed Xiao Nan's shocked expression, but since the young lady didn't tell him to leave, he pretended not to see anything and stayed there.
