As she said this, Xu Zhaoyue was already laughing heartily. "Then I suddenly appeared, tied him up, took him home, and beat him up. That's when the professor saw it."
"Really? It seems that Miss has really beaten the young master into submission. At least he hasn't skipped class since, right?" Yue Lanxing really didn't expect that Miss could do something like this.
Xu Zhaoyue nodded, "Yes, and I also taught all his friends a lesson. I had the bodyguards pin them to the ground and beat them up, and then those guys didn't dare to hang out with Xiao Hao anymore."
"Anyone who can take the young master to skip class is a bunch of bad friends. It's best not to associate with them." Yue Lanxing thought to himself. If someone dared to take his sister to skip class, he would probably do the same. He wouldn't hit Yue Xuanxuan, but he couldn't let go of anyone who was leading her astray.
Hearing him agree with her approach, Xu Zhaoyue became even more certain that he suited her taste. "I thought you would be like them, blaming me for taking my anger out on the children."
"Who's blaming Miss? How could anyone think that? Miss is clearly focusing on Young Master's studies and friendships." Yue Lanxing was certain. He felt that Miss was doing the right thing, and those who blamed her were definitely wrong.
"Besides, Miss isn't that old, so how can you blame her?" Yue Lanxing said earnestly.
Xu Zhaoyue was about to say something when she was interrupted by the waiter's voice, "Hello, your friend has arrived." The waiter stepped aside, and Chen Yun and her boyfriend were standing behind him.
"Xiaoyue, I've missed you so much! You're finally back!" After the waiter made way, Chen Yun rushed to Xu Zhaoyue and gave her a big hug.
Xu Zhaoyue hugged her back, "I missed you too."
"Wow, I knew the clothes I designed for you would suit you. They look so good on you!" Chen Yun held Xu Zhaoyue's hands, looking her up and down in the cheongsam, and seemed very satisfied with her work.
"I knew it, no matter what color it is, it will look good on you."
Xu Zhaoyue shyly ran her hand through her hair. "You have such good taste! This color scheme is really nice." As the two ladies were being affectionate, Yue Lanxing and the man opposite them exchanged glances and simultaneously reached out to shake hands.
"Hello, I'm Zhang Pei, Xiaoyun's boyfriend." Zhang Pei introduced himself, successfully attracting Xu Zhaoyue's attention. Chen Yun then let go of her and began to introduce Zhang Pei.
"Xiaoyue, this is my boyfriend Zhang Pei. He works at a newspaper now. And who is this next to you?" After introducing her boyfriend, Chen Yun turned her gaze to Yue Lanxing.
It has to be said that Xu Zhaoyue made the right choice to bring Yue Lanxing over. She could tell that Zhang Pei had dressed up carefully, and while the items on him might not be considered expensive, they certainly required money to furnish.
It was clear she valued the meeting; she could even smell the other person wearing cologne. Although it didn't quite match the other person's image, such subtle gestures of respect for the occasion are understandable.
Chen Yun and Zhang Pei were both waiting for Xu Zhaoyue to make the introduction. After all, Yue Lanxing was obviously not simple. Chen Yun was originally attracted to her boyfriend because he was already good-looking and had a gentle and refined temperament. However, in front of Yue Lanxing, even she had to admit that her boyfriend was not as good as her.
Xu Zhaoyue gave Yue Lanxing a wink, signaling him to introduce himself, "Hello, Miss Chen, I am Miss's bodyguard, Yue Lanxing." Yue Lanxing had already let go of Zhang Pei's hand, and now he bowed slightly as if to greet the two of them.
"No way, he's your bodyguard? He doesn't look like it at all." Chen Yun covered her mouth in surprise, while Zhang Pei frowned but didn't say anything.
Xu Zhaoyue held Chen Yun's hand and said, "Alright, I brought him out specifically to make a good impression. Didn't you say you were going to bring your boyfriend?"
“I was thinking that he would get bored if the two of us girls were talking, so I brought someone over to chat with him, so that your boyfriend wouldn’t feel neglected if you came out to have dinner with me.”
"How could I? Zhang Pei, I asked you to wait for me, are you bored?" Chen Yun was only briefly surprised by Yue Lanxing's handsomeness; her main focus was still on her boyfriend.
Zhang Pei didn't know why the topic suddenly turned to her, but the question was easy to answer: "How could that be? I won't be bored while waiting for you. If there's paper and pen, I'll write a poem for you."
Upon hearing this, Chen Yun blushed instantly, and their eyes met with tender affection. "Oh, he's always like this; he loves writing poetry at the newspaper."
"That sounds so romantic. I just happened to bring gifts for you two. The gift for Zhang is a fountain pen. Can you guess what your gift is?" Xu Zhaoyue gestured for her to look at the chair.
Chen Yun noticed two chairs; one had a large box on it, and the other had a long, narrow box on it. "The big one is definitely for me, and the other one looks like a pen."
"Come sit down and take a look." Xu Zhaoyue led Yue Lanxing to a seat, and Chen Yun and Zhang Pei also picked up their gifts and sat down.
"Can I open it now?" Chen Yun looked at the box curiously, and Xu Zhaoyue naturally agreed, "You can just open it, just unbutton it."
Chen Yun was even happier after opening the box. "What's this? It looks quite interesting." She casually took out a small item from inside.
"It's a guessing game. The main element is this book, which tells a short crime-solving story. You follow the instructions in the book step by step to find out the truth. The things next to it are clues. You only know what they are for when you see the hints in the book."
