Xu Zhaoyue knew she was being hypocritical, but Yue Lanxing had remained quiet ever since she started chatting with Chen Yun.
Halfway through the meal, she nudged him with her foot under the table to get him to speak.
Yue Lanxing felt his leg being touched, and half of his body went numb. However, he quickly recovered and received the young lady's signal, "Mr. Zhang, if I may ask, which newspaper do you work for? Do you have a business card?"
"Oh, I got a job at Tomorrow Daily. Here's my business card." Zhang Pei really did have business cards with him. He took two out of his pocket and handed them to Yue Lanxing and Xu Zhaoyue.
Xu Zhaoyue glanced at it and immediately put it into her bag.
Yue Lanxing looked at it more closely. "Mr. Zhang is already an associate editor?" His tone was full of surprise, as if he were praising his achievement.
Zhang Pei straightened his back and even straightened his tie. "It's not a skill. I've just always loved writing. I used to submit articles to newspapers when I was in school."
When Zhang Pei entered, he saw Yue Lanxing's attire and assumed he was Xu Zhaoyue's male companion, but it turned out he was just a bodyguard.
The fact that a bodyguard was dressed like that, and that he himself had bent down lower than him, inexplicably angered him.

“Mr. Zhang is too modest. You’ve been submitting articles since college, so you must be very talented. Do you have a pen name? I’ll definitely read your work when I have time…” Yue Lanxing took over the conversation and continued chatting with Zhang Pei.
Chen Yun felt they were having a good time chatting, so she continued chatting with Xu Zhaoyue while they ate.
When they were halfway through their drinks, Zhang Pei glanced at his watch and said, "Oh dear, I might have to excuse myself. I need to get back to work now."
"Oh? Is it time? Xiaoyue, I have to go now. You guys enjoy your meal." Chen Yun had looked at Zhang Pei when he checked his watch, and as soon as she heard it was time, she was about to leave.

Upon hearing this, Yue Lanxing turned around. Xu Zhaoyue's cheeks were flushed from drinking, making her look like a small dessert, like the most expensive strawberry chocolate in a high-end dessert shop. Yue Lanxing blinked and deleted the metaphor that suddenly appeared in her mind.
"I don't know." A simple and clear answer.
Xu Zhaoyue's eyes widened at those words, making her even more adorable. "You don't know? If you don't know, why did you seem to admire him so much just now? You two seemed to be having a great time chatting."
Yue Lanxing coughed. "Ahem, didn't this young lady instruct me to talk to him more? I thought it's always good to compliment someone, and besides, he already had a business card, so he must have been prepared. He was very interesting when he talked about his experiences."
"Oh, if that's the case, then go check if what he said is correct, and also what position this deputy editor holds. I only found his articles, so show them to me as well."
"Yes, Miss, I'll investigate as soon as I get back."
"Oh right, I almost forgot, waiter!" Xu Zhaoyue snapped her fingers and called the waiter in. "Please pack two blueberry cakes for me. Here's the money." Xu Zhaoyue took out a banknote from her bag.

They drank for a while longer, mainly Xu Zhaoyue. It was clear that she was very happy to see Liu Yun today. After the waiter brought over the packaged cake, they left.
