Xu Zhaoming stopped walking and said, "Um... Sister, I heard you've been busy with new products lately. How about you show me around? If it's inconvenient for you, your staff can explain it to me."
Xu Zhaoyue really wanted to ask Xu Zhaoming where he got the nerve to say such things. “Unauthorized personnel are not allowed in. Go and work on the anniversary celebration. I don’t have anything to introduce to you.”
"Oh, there's not much to introduce, but I can take a look around too." Xu Zhaoming still pretended not to understand what he was saying, while his assistant had already lowered his head, not daring to look at the performance in front of him.
“You can’t understand this with your brain. What’s your educational background? What kind of place is the lab? You can’t even meet the most basic requirements to enter the lab. Do I need to explain it so clearly?” Xu Zhaoyue’s words finally made Xu Zhaoming’s face turn cold.
Xu Zhaoming was so angry she was about to hit someone. Just as she raised her hand, Yue Lanxing stepped in front of the young lady, but her assistant reacted even faster and pulled her away.
"Goodbye, Manager Xu. We have other work to do, so we won't bother you any longer." The assistant pulled Xu Zhaoming back. "Let go of me! I can walk by myself!" Xu Zhaoming shook off the assistant's hand and strode away.
After they left, Yue Lanxing immediately turned to the young lady and asked, "Young lady, are you alright?"
Xu Zhaoyue glanced at him and said, "Do I look like I have something on my mind? Okay, let's go eat." She then walked away, but Yue Lanxing knew she was unhappy.
In Yue Lanxing's heart, the young lady was the best in every way. She never said a harsh word, except when facing Xu Zhaoming, when she would express her disgust so directly.
This was certainly not the young lady's fault, but she was angry because of Xu Zhaoming's provocation, and Yue Lanxing didn't know how to coax her to make her happy.
Yue Lanxing followed behind Xu Zhaoyue. When they arrived at the duty room, Xu Zhaoyue stopped. Just as Yue Lanxing was about to ask why, she saw the young lady kick the duty room door. Was her foot injured? Did it hurt? That was Yue Lanxing's first thought.
Xue Huzi and Tian Dai quickly opened the door in the duty room. They were initially looking to see who was outside, but upon seeing that it was the young lady, their attitude immediately became respectful. "Who is it? Young lady!" Xue Huzi straightened his back instantly as he stood at the door.
"Does Miss have something to tell us?" Xue Huzi immediately became serious.
“Starting today, not only my office, but also the corridor must be guarded to prevent unauthorized personnel from entering or leaving the laboratory.” Xu Zhaoyue finished speaking and walked downstairs, regardless of whether they understood or not.
When Yue Lanxing saw the young lady turn around, he immediately made an eye gesture to the two of them, and then followed her downstairs.
"What's wrong, Miss?" Xue Huzi asked Tian Dai with a puzzled look. Tian Dai accepted it well and was not surprised at all. "Didn't you see the Second Miss go over just now? Miss is taking precautions."
"Oh! Then I'll keep a close watch. I'll go out first." Upon hearing this, Xue Huzi immediately perked up and went out to stand guard. He couldn't let that scoundrel ruin the young lady's experiment; he had to be extremely vigilant.
Back to Xu Zhaoyue, Yue Lanxing watched from behind as the young lady didn't head towards the cafeteria but instead went towards the garage. "Young lady, where are we going?"
"Are you going out to eat?" Yue Lanxing took a few steps forward, standing parallel to Xu Zhaoyue. He deliberately softened his voice, afraid that raising his voice would scare Xu Zhaoyue.
Xu Zhaoyue only remembered that there was someone following behind her when she heard Yue Lanxing speak. She stopped immediately after realizing this. She didn't know where she was going. She just wanted to go out, so she came here. As for eating or anything, she really hadn't thought about it.
Looking at Yue Lanxing's concerned expression, Xu Zhaoyue took a few deep breaths to calm herself down. "Okay, let's go eat." With a goal in mind, the two of them got back to work.
"Where are we going? I'll drive. I've already memorized the map." Yue Lanxing went over first to open the car door, protecting Xu Zhaoyue's head as she got in.
"I don't know, let's just drive randomly." Xu Zhaoyue wasn't in the mood for food and couldn't recall any names. "Okay, let's go now." Yue Lanxing closed the car door and got in.
After Yue Lanxing drove the car out, he kept observing Xu Zhaoyue's expression through the rearview mirror. However, Xu Zhaoyue's expression remained blank. Most people would think she was in a daze at first glance, but only those who knew her well knew that she was unhappy.
Otherwise, given Xu Zhaoyue's ability to manage her expressions, it would be impossible for her to have a blank look on her face. Yue Lanxing felt that looking at the scenery would improve her mood, so she deliberately drove towards areas with many trees and lakes.
Apart from the sound of the engine, the car fell silent for a moment. Yue Lanxing anxiously wondered what she could do now.
Xu Zhaoyue was also pondering whether or not to continue letting Xu Zhaoming jump around in front of her. For some reason, Xu Zhaoming did not inherit any of his parents' good qualities. Even his mother knew to avoid her and, apart from serving his father well, did not interfere in anything else.
Where does Xu Zhaoming get the confidence to stand up to me at the company? Even Xu Zhaohao knows not to get involved in business matters, so why does Xu Zhaoming have the guts to do these things? The more I think about it, the more annoyed I get.
After much thought, Xu Zhaoyue realized that she had made a mistake. She could have simply not let Xu Zhaoming into the company. Why did she have the idea of defeating her in the company? She could have prevented that possibility from happening in the first place.
