Han Fang looked at the note and fell silent. He could do it, but what did the Xu family want these things for? "The others are easy to discuss, but machine guns are out of the question. These things don't circulate on the market, and an investigation would reveal who has them. My Han family cannot take that risk."
"What are you talking about? Where are there any guns that can be circulated? I just want to build a road in the west and don't want too many accidents. Young Master Han, were you just faking your confidence?" Xu Zhaoyue said sarcastically.
But Han Fang wasn't buying it and remained silent.
"Young Master Han, did you contact the newspaper yesterday?" Xu Zhaoyue asked curiously. Seeing Han Fang look up, she continued, "After all, the scene of Butler Yue spitting blood as he left was too unsightly. What if some ignorant newspaper published it?"
“It would be bad if people spread what happened last night. Xiao Nan, have today’s newspapers been delivered yet? Go check and see if anyone is spreading rumors.” Xu Zhaoyue seemed very anxious, and Han Fang also looked at Xiao Nan.
Xiao Nan pointed to a corner, "The newspapers are all over there, I'll go find them now." Then Xiao Nan ran over and, with a few people, started searching. There were quite a few newspapers, and she carried them all to the table, where the servants of the Han family were.
"You guys help look too, don't just look," Xiao Nan directed them, and the sound of flipping through newspapers rose and fell. "Don't miss any corners, it wouldn't be good if they were hidden somewhere."
Xu Zhaoyue picked up her cup and began to elegantly sip her tea. Even though the noise from the other side was loud, she did not say anything to stop it, and Han Fang did not know what to say.
"Hey! This photo is!" Xiao Nan pulled out a newspaper and rushed over to them. "Miss, look at this photo! It's from the back garden!"
Xu Zhaoyue took the newspaper and looked at it carefully. "It really is. Could this person have taken some photos?"
Han Fang had already craned his neck to look over. Seeing his reaction, Xu Zhaoyue naturally handed him the newspaper. "I remember this rabbit lantern very well. It's over by the pond."
"Really? This photo doesn't reveal much; it was probably taken from outside looking in." Han Fang casually put it aside after looking at it. By this time, he had already flipped through all the newspapers, so he picked up a few more and took them over. One of them actually said that the He family's banquet ended too early yesterday.
Looking at these things, Han Fang wished he could go back and deal with them right now. He didn't know if anything had been photographed at the party. Although he could contact the newspaper later and do his best to suppress the matter, it would be difficult to handle with the Xu family involved.
Han Fang considered the implications and finally gritted his teeth and agreed, "Okay, but the Xu family can't bring this up again."
"Sure, as long as the goods arrive, my Xu family won't mention a word about it outside. You can rest assured." Xu Zhaoyue nodded. She didn't know much to begin with, and she had already told them not to talk nonsense.
"Okay, the goods will arrive in a week. See you at the dock." Han Fang said and left with his men.
Xu Zhaoyue then had the mind to see what the gifts he had brought were. "Open everything and pick out the medicinal herbs first." After all the boxes were opened, she looked at them one by one.
"Take these medicines with you later and put them in the car first. We'll have someone come to our house to make these clothes. And what are these? Two Beretta swords. Put them in my room first." Xu Zhaoyue commented on each item one by one.
"Everything's loaded into the car, shall we leave now?" Xiao Nan asked.
