Xu Zhaoyue saw Yue Xuanxuan wearing a school uniform and heard him mention a parent-teacher meeting. "You're having a parent-teacher meeting?" she asked.
When Xu Zhaoyue asked him a question, Xu Zhaohao subconsciously blurted out, "Yeah." He immediately realized what she meant and didn't even notice Xu Shun frantically giving him meaningful glances from the side.
“Sis…” Xu Zhaohao turned around and said weakly, “I came to pick you up, so you don’t need to go to school anymore.”
Xu Zhaoyue knew how well he did in school. "Where's the car?" Xu Zhaohao asked, thinking she had been persuaded. "It's right there. I'll take you there."
After walking to the car, Xu Zhaoyue looked at Aunt Wu and Uncle Sun and said, "I'm going to the school. You and Xiaonan can go back first." Aunt Wu and Uncle Sun naturally agreed.
Xiao Nan seemed a little reluctant, "Miss, you just got off the ship, and you barely ate any breakfast. Would you like to…"
"Sis, you haven't eaten yet? Let's go home and eat first," Xu Zhaohao chimed in from the side.
Xu Zhaoyue rolled her eyes at him. "No need. Let's go to school first. Eating is not as important as you." Xu Zhaohao felt a little embarrassed after she said that, and immediately stopped trying to find an excuse.
"Aren't you going to introduce me?" Xu Zhaoyue couldn't ignore the gazes from the side anymore, but he hadn't introduced himself first. Xu Zhaohao was really something, he didn't even know to introduce the people he brought.
"Oh, this is my deskmate Yue Xuanxuan, who is working at your villa now. This is her brother Yue Lanxing, who is a bodyguard for the Xu family. He is one of the bodyguards I told you about a few days ago, the ones you will choose when you come back."
"Hello, I'm Xiaohao's older sister, my name is Xu Zhaoyue." Xu Zhaoyue extended her hand to shake hands with the two of them. Yue Xuanxuan stepped forward first and shook her hand, saying, "Miss, let's get in the car first, the school parent-teacher meeting is about to start."
Xu Zhaoyue looked at her hand with some surprise. She could tell from the strength of her grip that she was a little excited. When Yue Xuanxuan saw that the young lady was looking at her hand, she knew that her reaction was a bit too much and quickly let go.
As soon as she let go, Yue Lanxing bowed slightly and introduced herself, "Hello, Miss Xu, I am Yue Lanxing."
"Yes, hello, everyone, please get in the car so as not to waste time." Xu Zhaoyue sensed that he didn't want to shake her hand, so she didn't extend her hand. She hadn't expected that the training of the bodyguards at home was so good.
A group of people came to the car, and Xu Zhaohao quickly went over to open the door for her. "Come on, sis, be careful." After Xu Zhaoyue got in, Xu Zhaohao saw that there were still four people in the car, and three more people could sit inside.
Yue Lanxing had already noticed that there wasn't enough space in the car, but he didn't suggest leaving. Instead, he said, "Young Master, I can drive."
Upon hearing that he could drive, Xu Zhaohao readily agreed, saying, "Then you drive. Xu Shun, you and Xiao Nan come back together. Remember to tell the kitchen to prepare lunch, including my sister's favorite dishes."
Yue Xuanxuan glanced at her brother, and Yue Lanxing received her signal. He didn't say anything, but simply opened the passenger door for her to get in, then started the car smoothly and drove out of the dock.
"Is your report card in your bag? Let me see it. Let me see if you've improved in the year I've been away." Xu Zhaoyue noticed that Xu Zhaohao had quietly placed his bag next to him, which clearly indicated that he was keeping a secret.
Xu Zhaohao was unaware of how obvious his actions were. When Xu Zhaoyue pointed it out, he thought it was because his sister was too clever. He reluctantly took out his report card and said, "Well, I didn't do well on the test, and I didn't improve at all." He then lowered his head in shame.
Even Yue Xuanxuan, who was sitting in front of him, was worried for him. Xu Zhaoyue looked at the report card for a while before finally saying, "You've improved."
"Huh?" Xu Zhaohao was shocked. How could his sister say something like that? "Sis, you're not kidding, are you? This is called progress?"
Xu Zhaoyue hit him with the sheet, "What are you talking about? Do you think I'm joking? Your Chinese is obviously better than before, but the rest is just so-so, still the same as before."
"Really? I scored 20 points higher than before, and you could even notice that?" Xu Zhaohao seemed to think she could even notice something; she had been ashamed before, but now she was a little embarrassed.
"Yes, it's rare that Chinese language is so much better than other subjects, how could I not notice?" Xu Zhaoyue nodded. How could she not notice such a small improvement?
"How did you know I arrived this morning? Who did you send to school?" Xu Zhaoyue became increasingly suspicious and began to interrogate Xu Zhaohao. She hadn't expected to arrive a day early, especially in the morning. How could Xiao Hao have come to pick her up so conveniently?
Xu Zhaohao didn't dare lie to Xu Zhaoyue, so he honestly told her what had happened, "I had his school impersonate my cousin..." He managed to say just that one sentence in a barely audible voice.
However, Xu Zhaoyue still heard it. She looked closely at Yue Lanxing's eyebrows and eyes through the rearview mirror. He was indeed a perfect-looking man. Xu Zhaoyue would stare at things that interested her, so she looked from Yue Lanxing's eyes to his mouth and then saw him unconsciously lick his lips.
Xu Zhaoyue shifted her gaze back to his eyes, and they met in the rearview mirror. Yue Lanxing immediately looked away, but Xu Zhaoyue knew he was watching the back. "So you're here to be the Xu family's bodyguard?"
"Yes, Miss." Yue Lanxing's voice was slightly tense, but to others, it would only sound like he was very serious.
"Okay, I understand." Xu Zhaoyue replied, but Yue Lanxing's heart was in his throat. He didn't know what the young lady knew, but he had no right to ask.
