"Let's go to the meeting room and talk properly." Yue Wenzhi still wanted to keep Yue Lanxing there. Yue Lanxing knew it was best to say everything at once, otherwise it would be too troublesome to say it repeatedly. "Okay."
So the two of them went to the reception room. They were the only two people in the room, and the people outside were in an uproar because no one was watching them.
"Uncle Wang, do you really know Wang Qingqing, the one he just mentioned?" Yue Mingze was still confused. How did the other person suddenly become his cousin?
"Tsk, I remember now, she really is your cousin. We used to get along really well. Why didn't you go home back then?" Uncle Tian stroked his beard and remembered.
Yue Mingze became even more curious, "My aunt has also had children. I thought only my dad had three children in our family."
Uncle Wang coughed and said, "Ahem, we can't talk about this. The Third Miss's affairs are not something we can discuss. But I can go see my cousin, what do you say?" He winked at Uncle Tian.
Uncle Tian received the signal and immediately nodded in agreement, "Yes, we should go and see. As the cousin, you should go and see on behalf of the family. As for the Third Miss's matter, the Second Young Master will have a solution."
They outside couldn't imagine that Yue Wenzhi had already walked back and forth inside several times, constantly moving left and right, from the left side of the room to the right and back again.
“Mr. Yue, why don’t you sit down first? I think if you keep turning around, time will be running out.” Yue Lanxing looked at the ticking second hand on his watch, his pace matching Yue Wenzhi’s.
When Yue Wenzhi heard the voice, he turned his head and saw Yue Lanxing leisurely inviting him to sit down. Upon closer inspection, he realized that Yue Lanxing really did look like his older brother, but not quite; she looked more like his younger sister. He had noticed her extraordinary demeanor at the banquet the day before yesterday.
Looking at his identity, wow, a butler dressed so properly. Yue Wenzhi suppressed his thoughts, sat down and started a conversation, "I also have a watch like that, it's a new model from abroad. I didn't expect you and I to have such similar tastes."
Yue Lanxing glanced down at her watch again and said softly, "I didn't buy this. It's my young lady's good taste."
"Uh, oh, it's all the same, it's all the same." Yue Wenzhi felt uncomfortable all over. "What exactly do you want to ask? If you have no more questions, I think I should go back." Yue Lanxing tried to get up again.
"Wait, don't you want to go home and visit?" Yue Wenzhi finally said what he wanted to say. He looked at Yue Lanxing and sat back down, then continued, "I really didn't know there was a you in this world before."
“Now that you know about your background, you must also know that your mother and sister were abandoned and that’s why they were heartbroken. I rushed back from out of town and when I got back I learned that you were born sick and probably couldn’t be saved.”
“But my sister had her maid take you to get treatment, and she gave you a lot of money for the trip. She definitely didn’t mean for you to fend for yourself. It’s just that my sister was in a bad state at the time, and it was unavoidable to separate you two.”
“During that time, my sister had nightmares every night. She would become delirious every time the child was mentioned, and it took her a year or two to recover. We were so busy taking care of her that we tried not to mention the child. By the time we remembered you, we had already lost contact with you.”
Yue Lanxing listened and nodded. "I understand your feelings. Of course, your sister is more important than the child of a traitor. I have no intention of blaming you, nor do I want to compensate you. Please rest assured."
Upon hearing this, Yue Wenzhi quickly waved his hand, "No, no, what I meant was that the family is unaware of your current situation. If possible, I hope they will know this, since you are, after all, my sister's child."
"Since she recovered, she has been practicing vegetarianism and chanting Buddhist scriptures, constantly cultivating her mind and body, and even offered you an ever-burning lamp." Yue Wenzhi wanted to play the emotional card, but he forgot that Yue Lanxing had no feelings for them.
Looking at Yue Wenzhi's expression, Yue Lanxing was determined to let him go back, but his illness was the best protection. "What I said about hoping you wouldn't send my message back was for your own good."
"My illness hasn't gotten better." Yue Lanxing was quite impressed with his calm tone, but he quickly realized from Yue Wenzhi's puzzled expression that the other party didn't know what illness he had.
Sure enough, Yue Wenzhi said the next second, "You can go back to Shanghai to get treatment for any illness. Don't worry, Shanghai has all the same medical facilities."
Yue Lanxing shook her head. "It seems you don't know what my illness is, nor have you seen what I looked like when I was born. Simply put, I'm allergic to women."
"Huh? What kind of illness is this?" Yue Wenzhi's face was full of disbelief, and he even thought it was made up.
“You heard me right. I am allergic to women. My medical records are in the hands of Dr. Huang Can at Xu’s Hospital. My adoptive mother moved with me because Uncle Huang saw that my illness was an immune system disease, which could range from mild allergies to fatal diseases.”
“I have no reason to lie to you with these words. In order to avoid too much contact with women, I dropped out of high school and later went to a martial arts school where I was chosen by the Xu family to be their bodyguard.”
“Up until now, my life has been in danger. Even if you let me go back, it would only increase the possibility of a parent outliving their child.” Yue Lanxing said this, and then stood up to take his leave. “I have said all I have to say, so I will take my leave now.”
Yue Wenzhi was still reeling from the shock of the information. He stood up in a daze and walked to the door with Yue Lanxing. "Click!" As soon as the door opened, Yue Mingze and Yue Mingyuan, who were peeking through the crack, rushed forward.
