Yue Lanxing looked at the young lady who was about to come out to find him and said, "If you go alone, will they let you in?" After saying that, he went to greet Xu Zhaoyue.
"Miss, I've already seen them onto the car." Yue Lanxing and Xu Zhaoyue standing together were indeed a pleasant sight. "Hmm, isn't your stomach burning?" Xu Zhaoyue regretted not stopping her second brother earlier.
Yue Lanxing was fine, but since the young lady had asked, she said, "It's alright, I'll just go back and have some porridge. I'm pretty good at drinking alcohol; Huanglian said the enzymes in my body can break down alcohol faster."
Xu Zhaoyue could also see that a normal person couldn't drink like that. Even Fang Erge was drunk, let alone Yue Lanxing who drank much more heavily. "Then go inside and wait, eat something, and I'll come find you when it's over."
Yue Lanxing nodded and obediently waited as instructed.
Time flew by, and after seeing the guests off, Xu Zhaoyue went to see the manager to make sure the witnesses received their rewards and that the reporters were taken care of.
When they finished packing and returned to the Xu family mansion, Xu Zhaoming was still kneeling in Xu Guangcai's study, with the Xu steward watching over him.
"Get down!" Xu Guangcai slapped him across the face, and Xu Zhaoming's face immediately turned red as he fell to the ground. "Dad, I was wrong, I really know I was wrong. I didn't expect things to be so serious."
"Clang!" Xu Guangcai kicked again. "I didn't expect things to get this serious! I see you don't even know where you went wrong?"
"Master, please stop hitting her! She's just a child. Xiaoyue and Xiaohao, you two should try to persuade her. We're all family, we can talk things out." Zhao Yuanyuan stood by, protecting Xu Zhaoming.
Xu Zhaoyue thought to herself, "What kind of family is this?" But she still tried to comfort him, "Father, please calm down. I sent someone to chase after the documents this morning. The lock on the box is not easy for ordinary people to open, and the medicines have already been registered."
The risk of data loss is greater than imagined, but Xu Zhaoyue was prepared in advance. Better safe than sorry, and now it's coming in handy.
"You keep kneeling! You two, come here." After scolding Xu Zhaoming, Xu Guangcai then called Xu Zhaoyue and Xu Zhaohao to the table.
Xu Zhaoyue and Xu Zhaohao sat down. "This good-for-nothing is a disgrace to the Xu family. My decision to announce Xu Zhaoyue as the heir today is a last resort," Xu Guangcai sighed.
"However, you still need to hold yourself to the standards of an heir. If this gets out, the impact will be enormous. You handle this matter well, and so will Xiao Hao..."
“Father! I have a suggestion,” Xu Zhaoyue interrupted him, “Let Zhaoming go to work tomorrow. Although she made a mistake and is no longer suitable to be a manager, let her go to work in order to avoid arousing suspicion.”
"Sister!" Xu Zhaohao didn't understand why Xu Zhaoyue would say that. Xu Zhaoming had already thrown away her information, yet she still wanted to forgive Xu Zhaoming.
Xu Zhaoyue reached out and patted his arm, giving him a reassuring look. "Go to school as usual tomorrow, but don't mention what happened this morning to anyone."
"Keeping this a secret is for the sake of the Xu family. It's nothing for me to suffer a little." Xu Zhaoyue's handling of the situation was exactly what Xu Guangcai wanted to see, since he hadn't mentioned letting Xu Zhaoming leave the company.
“Only when the Xu family operates normally will rumors not be believed and will give us time to deal with them. Since my father has made me the heir, I must consider the Xu family’s interests even more.”
Now that Xu Zhaoyue has made her point out in the open, everyone knows that all of this was achieved through her grievances.
After the conversation ended, the three children returned to their respective residences. Xu Zhaoyue refused Xu Zhaohao's words of comfort and told him to go back and prepare for school. Only after watching Xu Zhaohao leave, turning back to look at her several times, did she bid farewell to the housekeeper.
Xu Zhaoyue walked out of the villa and looked at the sky. It was only a little past three in the afternoon, and the sunlight was still dazzling. What was it that her father hadn't said earlier? What was it that Xu Zhaohao needed to do?
Xu Zhaoyue stopped thinking about it and refocused her gaze on the road ahead and Yue Lanxing waiting for her in the distance. "Miss, you haven't rested all day. You should go back and rest quickly."
"Okay, let's go. You've worked hard too. I'm very satisfied with how well you handled things today," Xu Zhaoyue said with emotion.
This was the first time Xu Zhaoyue had praised him so directly, and Yue Lanxing's lips immediately curled up. However, a strange thought flashed through his mind, and he felt that the young lady still had something to say.
As expected, Xu Zhaoyue looked at the road ahead and said, "Don't you think my methods are dirty too?"
"How could that be?" Yue Lanxing's first reaction was to refute, then she turned her head to look around to make sure no one was there before speaking, "Miss was on the defensive. If the other party hadn't used underhanded tactics, Miss could have won fair and square."
"No, we're winning fair and square now. It was only a matter of time before the young lady became the heir. This is just a matter of time before it happened a little earlier. Maybe it's even better for the company and for everyone."
"The reactions everyone had when the chairman announced it today prove that Miss truly deserves the title!"
Yue Lanxing's words were well-reasoned, and he couldn't let the young lady have such thoughts. However, seeing that the young lady's expression hadn't changed, he even brought out his trump card, "If the young lady doesn't like it, I'll go and take care of those in the know."
Xu Zhaoyue finally responded to that question, "Solve which one?" The previous words could have comforted anyone else, but resolving the issue of the person in the know was a truly refreshing approach.
"The three people who made the allegations are the hotel manager and the reporter." Yue Lanxing accurately stated the target that needed to be addressed, as if he could immediately implement it as long as Xu Zhaoyue nodded.
