"Okay, how about we have breakfast together?" Xu Zhaoyue said, and Xu Zhaohao sat down happily. "Okay, okay, I'll eat before I go to school."
When Xu Zhaoyue arrived at the company, she was greeted with congratulations from the moment she entered. Almost everyone had a newspaper in their hand, and nearly every newspaper featured her on the front page with a close-up.
"Go and ask the chefs from the Golden Jubilee Hotel to come and cook," Xu Zhaoyue instructed Yue Lanxing. She also asked the finance department to pay everyone an extra month's salary, which made the employees even more excited when they heard the news.
"President Xu, I just went to check. Your office upstairs isn't finished yet, so you'll still have to work here. We haven't arranged for anyone to move it out." Manager Yuan was waiting for Xu Zhaoyue at the office door.
Xu Zhaoyue had forgotten that there was a vice president's office on the fifth floor. "Not at all. I'm still in the hard work phase. If I move to the fifth floor so early and separate from the employees, I won't be able to know everyone's thoughts in time."
“There’s no rush for the renovation, there’s plenty of time. I’ll be busy with things with the foreign company later, so I won’t have time to discuss the renovation style. Let’s just leave it for now.” As soon as Xu Zhaoyue said this, Manager Yuan naturally started paying attention to the foreign company.
The two held another meeting regarding the collaboration with the foreign company, and some details of the contract needed to be discussed.
At this moment, Xu Zhaoming also arrived at the company. Seeing everyone talking about Xu Zhaoyue, his mood immediately dropped. "Manager Xu, you've finally arrived," Assistant Qi came over to greet her.
"What? Can't I come?" Xu Zhaoming said irritably.
Assistant Qi knew she had a bad temper, so she immediately apologized, "How could that be? I was hoping Manager Xu would come over. This is something that needs your advice. I need your instructions to know what to do!"
A barrage of flattery brought Xu Zhaoming to his desk in silence. Luckily, Xu Zhaoyue had been stopped by Manager Yuan today to discuss the contract; otherwise, Xu Zhaoming would have flipped the table on the spot if she had called an appointment meeting.
After researching the ships, Yue Lanxing chose the Yuehua because its advertisements mentioned that it would host dances. Xu Zhaoyue trusted his choice and readily agreed.
After finishing her business with the company, Xu Zhaoyue immediately went to the hospital. Xu Guangcai didn't hold an internal meeting to reinforce her status as the heir; she went by herself.
“I previously spoke with the director of the welfare home about the possibility of sponsoring medical expenses for the children there. If we could directly connect with the hospital, I believe it would allow the Xu's Hospital's philosophy of healing and saving lives to be promoted more widely.”
Xu Zhaoyue met the dean as soon as she arrived. Doctor Feng was watching from the side. He asked Xu Zhaoyue a few questions, and the better she answered, the more regretful he felt.
“Yes, the hospital’s profits can easily cover it, but we need to ensure that all the children are from welfare homes. It wouldn’t be good if the system were exploited.” The director had a long-term vision.
"I'll go see Director Ye of the welfare home tonight to find out about the welfare home's file management issues."
Xu Zhaoyue, Dr. Feng, and the hospital director are all very supportive of this matter, so there's no problem.
Xu Zhaoyue and Yue Lanxing arrived at the orphanage again. "Okay, wait for me in the car." Xu Zhaoyue's conversation with Director Ye lasted a while. Fortunately, she had eaten before coming, otherwise she really wouldn't have been able to handle it.
"Phew! I'm so tired. Let's go get some late-night snacks." Xu Zhaoyue lay back on the back seat, no longer caring about maintaining her image.
Yue Lanxing handed the blanket to Xu Zhaoyue, "Where would you like to go for a late-night snack, Miss?"
"Let me think... It's the cheongsam shop I went to last time. Three streets south, there's a night market street with a really good steamed bun shop. They're open until late at night, and the buns are very filling."
Xu Zhaoyue often ate out during her university years, and she found her favorite restaurant from her memories.
"Okay, let's go now." Yue Lanxing stepped on the gas and brought Xu Zhaoyue to this street. Xu Zhaoyue changed to a lying position in the back seat. "We're here, Miss."
Yue Lanxing saw that the crowd in front of him was indeed lively, but with people coming and going, he couldn't really get through.
"Oh, we're here? I'll go buy it. What do you want to eat? They have noodles, wontons, and potstickers." Xu Zhaoyue sat up and looked outside. It was still the same as before.
Seeing that the young lady wanted to go downstairs to buy it herself, Yue Lanxing said, "Just buy the same as the young lady. Actually, I can..."
"You can?" Xu Zhaoyue looked out the window. "I think I should go. Let's go." She grabbed her wallet and went downstairs, returning less than five minutes later.
"Here, I bought you four. Don't eat too much tonight, or you'll get indigestion." Xu Zhaoyue handed the bag to Yue Lanxing.
Yue Lanxing felt like he'd been distracted for a moment and the young lady was back. "Is there no one queuing at this shop? So fast." He smelled the aroma of the steamed buns and thought it was impossible.
Xu Zhaoyue picked up her wallet and shook it. "Of course not. I always say that good restaurants have long queues. I paid for the seats in front of me, so it was super fast."
Yue Lanxing hadn't expected this reason and couldn't help but chuckle, "Miss is so clever."
"Wow, it's still as delicious as before, just a little hot." Xu Zhaoyue took a big bite, her mouth moving like a little squirrel.
Seeing how much the young lady liked it, Yue Lanxing wanted to try it too. He finished the bun in three bites, and the lingering fragrance made him understand why the bun could win over the young lady's stomach.
"If Miss wants to eat it, you can buy the recipe back," Yue Lanxing thought. If she bought the recipe, it could be a dish for breakfast, and she wouldn't need to come all this way.
Xu Zhaoyue had only finished half a bun, chewing slowly and carefully. "I asked before, but they neither sell nor teach people how to make them."
