“Oh, although what you said is true, but…” Xu Zhaoyue paused for a moment, and Yue Lanxing immediately looked at her nervously. He could guarantee that what he had just said was exactly what he thought.
Xu Zhaoyue wanted to be serious, but seeing Yue Lanxing's expression of knowing he was wrong but not daring to argue, she found it funny and couldn't help but laugh. "Ha, go check on the car, we're about to leave."
Yue Lanxing smiled knowingly after realizing that the young lady was trying to trick him, and raised his hand to pat Qingying's head beside him. "I'll go right away, young lady."
Xu Zhaoyue remained cheerful until she got into the car. Yue Lanxing wondered if anyone would be happy for so long just because they were told they were beautiful. If that was the case, he should learn from her.
"Miss, we seem to have arrived. Is this the person Brother Fang mentioned who's here to pick us up?" Xiao Nan looked at the beautiful scenery around her. "It seems like the Fang family is doing quite well moving out of the city center."
"With houses, land, and manpower, they are not to be underestimated anywhere." Xu Zhaoyue pointed out the main point: which family in Shanghai hasn't rented a house from the Fang family?
Yue Lanxing got out of the car first, and Tian Dai and Xue Huzi from the car behind him also ran over. After they talked to them, they confirmed that they were indeed people sent by the Fang family.
"Young Miss, Young Miss, do you still recognize me?" A man with a scar on his left ear ran over and knocked on the window. Before Xu Zhaoyue could answer, he introduced himself, "Me! The one who played with Third Young Master when you were little, the one who was your horse."
Xu Zhaoyue looked at the scar on his ear. Normally, a scar on the ear wouldn't be easily seen, but this scar extended all the way to his neck. The stitching technique wasn't good before, so it was crooked and messy.
"Fifth Uncle?" Xu Zhaoyue searched her memory for the name. She remembered the scar vividly; she had even pulled it when she was riding a horse back then. When she first saw it, she thought it was a giant centipede and almost cried from fright.
When the other person saw that she could still recognize him, he immediately beamed with joy, and the wrinkles at the corners of his eyes gathered together. "Miss, I didn't expect you to still remember me. You can't call me Uncle Lao Wu anymore. Just call me Lao Wu. That's what everyone calls me."
"By the way, Third Young Master specifically asked me to pick you up. Isn't that a coincidence? Third Young Master knew you were coming and rushed back from outside."
Xu Zhaoyue was listening attentively to what the fifth brother was saying. When she heard this part, she felt something was strange. When she glanced at Yue Lanxing, she saw that he was indeed angry. When he was angry, he would unconsciously lower his eyebrows.
"Yes, let's go up quickly. We still need someone to guide us. Are our eldest and second brothers here?" Xu Zhaoyue changed the subject.
The fifth brother nodded eagerly, "They're all here. After you finished your call, the eldest young master started having people prepare. They're all waiting now. Get in the car and follow us."
Yue Lanxing then got back into the car and drove to the entrance of the Fang family mansion. The fifth brother's car stopped there, and after saying a few words, he went inside. Xu Zhaoyue's car didn't even stop before driving in.
"I'll do it, I'll do it." The fifth brother got out of the car and quickly ran to Xu Zhaoyue's car door, raising his hand to stop Yue Lanxing and Xiao Nan from opening the car door. "Miss, we've arrived."
Seeing his enthusiasm, Xu Zhaoyue got out of the car with a smile. There were three tall men in front of her. "Big Brother, Second Brother, Third Brother," Xu Zhaoyue ran over with small steps and hugged the first one, Big Brother Fang.
"Oh my, Miss, you've finally returned after a year away! Let me see if you've lost weight!" Brother Fang was already in his thirties and had two children. Upon seeing Xu Zhaoyue, he immediately thought of what she looked like when she was a child.
Fang Erge also came over, "Little Crescent Moon, you can't be biased! You hugged Big Brother but not me! I even helped you with something!" He looked unhappy.
Xu Zhaoyue knew he couldn't possibly be angry, so she was just putting on an act for her. "No way! I'm just trying to hug them one by one. Thank you, Second Brother." After saying that, she gave Second Brother Fang a hug, and before he could react, she went to hug Third Brother Fang.
"You've grown into a beautiful young lady. I was wondering why you came back so conveniently. It must be fate..." Second Brother Fang looked at Third Brother Fang's happy expression, which was quite unlike his usual smug and disdainful self.
"Second brother, what are you saying? Alright, let's not stand here anymore, let's go inside and talk." Brother Fang didn't want Xu Zhaoyue to feel awkward, so he waved his hand and invited everyone inside.
As Fang Sange was leaving, he moved closer to Xu Zhaoyue, but just as he was about to speak, he sensed something was wrong behind him. When he turned around, he found someone staring at him.
"What's wrong with you?" Fang Sange was surprised that the other person didn't back down even after he'd caught him. It was their first meeting, yet he acted like they had a grudge. Xu Zhaoyue noticed his movement and explained, "He's my bodyguard and butler. What's wrong?"
Fang Sange pondered what a bodyguard-butler was all about. "Hey, how come the bodyguard and butler are the same person? Does the Xu family not even have this much money? You're living too hard!"
Xu Zhaoyue glanced around, thankfully her older brothers were already far away. "Why are you shouting so loudly? Is he powerful? You better get out of here and don't cause any trouble." After saying that, she punched him.
"Hiss, why are you still the same as before? You're hitting me for someone else now, don't you even remember who played with you when you were a kid?" Fang Sange muttered under his breath.
"Hehe, wasn't it you who chased others away when you were little and wouldn't let them play with me?" Xu Zhaoyue remembered it very clearly. He had been a domineering person since he was a child, and only became more restrained when he grew up. Even when he was in college, he still had a group of followers.
