Ronghua Garden was brightly lit all night long. Lu Anning forgot when she fell asleep, and when she woke up it was already the next morning.
Pei Lanyi hadn't slept all night and had just fallen asleep in the guest room. Even Tang Jingyuan had a bruise under his eyes.
"How about it?"
“As expected.”
Pei Chengyi was too cautious and only tested the waters on the first night, so he had to be given a taste of success first. For two consecutive days, Pei Chengyi kept testing the waters, but fortunately, Tang Jingyuan remained patient.

If it weren't for those eyes, Lu Anning almost didn't recognize that the person kneeling in front of her was the elegant and noble adoptive mother in her memory.

Lu Anning realized that something was wrong and asked Du Man for details, but Du Man was immersed in his own grief, crying and begging for mercy without getting to the point.
Lu Anning was annoyed and shouted, "Calm down if you want to live. Tell me why you are injured."
Du Man was frightened and looked at Lu An Ning with red eyes for a long time before she stopped crying.
"That day, we went to the supermarket to grab discounted eggs. As we were about to go back, a van rushed towards us like crazy. Your father pushed me out of the way at the critical moment, and I escaped. But your father was knocked away and bled a lot. He is still in critical condition. We have settled down. Please, let us go!"
"I'm crazy and I want to kill you. Did you offend someone?"
Duman looked bewildered: "We are already in this state, how could we offend others? Is it really not you?"
"Do I really need to dirty my hands?" Lu Anning saw that Du Man was in trouble and felt that this matter was not that simple.

"Take me to the hospital first."
Duman's eyes lit up: "You...you are still willing to help me?"

Lu Anning called Xiang Yang to ask for leave, saying that he had something to deal with, and took Du Man across the street to the parking lot to pick up the car.
The two walked out of the alley side by side. Before Lu Anning could hang up the phone, a black van suddenly drove out from a distance and headed straight towards them.
Everything happened so suddenly that Lu Anning was shocked and subconsciously pulled Duman to dodge. The car was going too fast. Lu Anning pushed Duman away and dodged backwards, but he still couldn't avoid the minivan. He was knocked out and fell heavily into the green belt next to him.
Lu Anning lay on the ground, his ears ringing and his head splitting. The van had crashed into a wall and stopped, now emitting smoke.
Lu Anning's eyes went dark and he completely fainted.
