Chapter 400 Good Son-in-law

A familiar figure walked over from the Zen room next door, looked at Lu An Ning lying on the ground, and a dark light flashed in his eyes.

"I've already told you, there's no need to go through so much trouble. It would be better to just knock him out and kidnap him."

The old monk chanted "Amitabha" and said, "I didn't see anything. I'll go back to my work. Please, benefactors, please do as you please."

Lu Yunxi snorted and kicked the person on the ground.

Ji Yan frowned: "What are you doing?"

She stepped forward to help the person, but was stopped by Lu Yunxi.

"Since she doesn't agree, why not take advantage of this opportunity and let me..."

As she spoke, she suddenly reached for the scissors on the table. Ji Yan realized the danger and immediately grabbed her.

"You're crazy! What are you going to do?"

"If she doesn't listen, it's better to keep her from speaking forever so she doesn't get in the way. Didn't you just tell the old monk that you two will fight to the death?"

Ji Yan was speechless and pushed Lu Yunxi away forcefully.

"I took her away from the company. If anything happens to her, it will soon be traced back to me. Do you think you can get away with it? If you want to stay in the Gu family, then listen to my arrangements."

Lu Yunxi remained unmoved. Ji Yan failed to help the person up and glared at Lu Yunxi.

"What are you still standing there for? Come and help me get him to the bed."

Lu Yunxi snorted coldly, crossed her arms and said, "I'm pregnant, how can I do such hard work?"

Ji Yan was annoyed and couldn't get Lu Yunxi to do anything, so she could only drag the unconscious Lu An Ning to the room inside and put him down by herself. Just as she did all this, Lu An Ning's phone rang.

It’s Tang Jingyuan!

Ji Yan stared at the screen, panting. Thinking of those eyes like the abyss, she felt timid for a moment. She didn't breathe a sigh of relief until the phone became quiet.

But after a while, the urgent ringing sounded again.

Lu Yunxi looked at her with a gloating expression. Ji Yan had a cold face, took a deep breath, and then answered the phone.

Tang Jingyuan asked anxiously: "Where are you? Why didn't you answer the phone for so long?"

"Good son-in-law, it's me."

Tang Jingyuan held the phone in his hand, his heart suddenly cold. He knew An Ning and Ji Yan had passed away together, but his wife never let anyone else answer her phone, let alone her mother, whom she had never known.

"Why are you here? Where's An Ning? Please ask her to answer the phone."

Ji Yan curled her lips: "I'm afraid she can't answer your call now. If you have anything to say, just tell me!"

Tang Jingyuan's heart sank, and a bad premonition came to his mind.

"What did you do to An Ning?"

Ji Yan smiled faintly: "She is my daughter. So many people saw her leaving with me. What else can I do to her? But, let her have a good sleep first. Good son-in-law, there are some things we can talk about. How about it?"

Tang Jingyuan gripped his phone tightly, regretting that he had believed the saying, "A mother won't hurt her daughter." Obviously, Ji Yan was an exception.

"address."

Tang Jingyuan uttered two words and strode out of the office with his keys.

If Ji Yan dared to hurt her, he would not let this woman go easily even if she was An Ning's biological mother.

Ji Yan's satisfied voice came to my ears: "Good son-in-law, I'll wait for you in the temple."

After hanging up the phone, Tang Jingyuan stepped on the accelerator, and the black Maybach roared out of the garage below and drove towards the place Ji Yan mentioned.

The night enveloped the entire forest. A cool breeze blew by, bringing bursts of chill. Ji Yan tightened his arms and took a sip of hot tea, which finally drove away the chill in his body.

She raised her eyes and glanced at Lu Yunxi with some dissatisfaction.

"What are you still doing here? Go back to your room. It's late at night and the dew is heavy. It's even easier to catch a cold in the mountains. You can't afford to make any mistakes now."

Lu Yunxi didn't care: "Tang Jingyuan is coming? I just want to take a look."

"What's so good about it! Even if he came, it's for the one inside, it has nothing to do with you. Don't forget your current situation. Go back to your room!"

Lu Yunxi clenched her fists: "You'd better be polite to me, otherwise..."

Before she could finish her words, Ji Yan slammed his palm on the table and scolded her harshly, "Lu Yunxi, I am your elder after all. You'd better not keep threatening me with those trivial matters. If you push me too far, who knows who will be in trouble. If anything happens to me, you won't have an easy life either."

Lu Yunxi didn't expect Ji Yan to lose her temper so suddenly. She immediately changed her expression and said with an apologetic smile, "I'm just anxious. I've established myself in the Gu family and will be able to help you in the future! Aunt, you're the only relative I have now."

Ji Yan snorted coldly: "If you want to succeed, just listen to me. If you were useful, you wouldn't be in this situation now."

"Yes, yes! I'm leaving, okay!"

Lu Yunxi knew that Ji Yan was not easy to fool, so she had no choice but to listen to her for the time being. After leaving the meditation room, her eyes darkened. She raised her hand and touched her flat belly. This was her only bargaining chip now, and she really couldn't let it get hurt.

After gritting her teeth, Lu Yunxi turned around and went to her room.

Along the way, Tang Jingyuan drove very fast. Looking at the ancient temple in front of him that almost blended into the night, he pursed his lips and walked inside with big strides.

The dark red door was ajar, as if quietly awaiting his arrival. He caught a passing monk to lead the way. In the backyard Zen room, Ji Yan had brewed some hot tea and was reciting the Heart Sutra with her eyes closed. The Buddhist beads twirling in her hand made her look compassionate and kind in the dim light.

But this is a woman who even wants her own daughter to get off the bus.

The scene before him seemed ridiculous to Tang Jingyuan. As he stepped into the meditation room, a cold laugh broke the dullness.

"Don't you think you're disgusting when you're attacking your own daughter and chanting sutras and praying to Buddha?"
