Chapter 607: Lose and Die

Lu Anning's breathing stagnated, and he called out to Bai Lu, "Jing Yuan is here too, right? I want to see him!"

Bai Lu twitched her lips, her gaze fixed on her blood-drenched dagger. "Don't think that just because you took advantage of Gu Feng's dagger and won once, you have the final say. Lu Anning, look at you covered in blood now. If Tang Jingyuan saw you, what would he think of you?"

Lu Anning frowned and growled, "What on earth do you want to do?"

"I just want to see if Tang Jingyuan will still love you after I turn you into someone as ruthless and murderous as them. I really want him to see the vicious look you just now. I want to destroy you!"

Bai Lu smiled provocatively and looked at the inky wall upstairs. Tang Jingyuan was standing there. Through the inky glass wall, he saw Lu Anning covered in wounds, and his heart was gripped.

"Find someone to treat her injuries. Rose, if you want to play, I'll accompany you to the end. Let her go, and I'll go in her place. You can choose as many people as you want."

Rose tutted. "Don't worry, I won't let her die just yet. I was kind enough to give her some practical experience, so why are you blaming me? Only in a true life-and-death struggle can she gain experience. Isn't that how we acquired our skills? If she wants to be worthy of you, she'll have to suffer a little. As for you..."

Rose looked him over unscrupulously. "Just be a spectator! They are no match for you. I brought you here to be a spectator. Oh, and don't you want to see Professor An? Let's go to the lab and see if she has made any progress in her research."

Rose led the way in front. Tang Jingyuan did not move. His eyes were fixed on Lu Anning, and he was reluctant to look away.

"She won't die, you have nothing to worry about."

Tang Jingyuan clenched his fist. Perhaps, he could go see the professor first, stabilize the situation, and then find a way to contact Gu Feng. Maybe they could escape.

Faced with several spoils to choose from, Lu Anning hesitated before choosing water and food. If she didn't eat, she really wouldn't be able to hold on any longer. As for the injury on her shoulder, perhaps she could think of a way to heal it tomorrow. Once she got the spoils, she could disinfect the wound.

Now I can only pray that the wound doesn’t get infected tonight.

She was taken back to the original place and locked up. When she passed by the previous place, she realized that the wailing sounds were all made by people who were imprisoned like her.

Along the way, she saw clearly that some people were curled up in the corner, trembling all over, lying on the ground and twitching, some were banging their heads against the wall, some were excitedly punching the wall, and many people were like crazy, doing all kinds of self-harming behaviors.

As she turned the corner, she happened to see a smelly, pus-oozing corpse being carried out. The man's eyes were almost popping out, and there was not a single intact spot on his body. There was also a piece of his own severed finger stuffed in his mouth. The wound was jagged, and it looked like he had bitten it off alive.

Lu An Ning couldn't hold it in any longer and squatted to the side, retching. His movements were too big and hurt the wound on his shoulder, causing him to break out in a cold sweat.

The people guarding her urged her to hurry up and didn't give her any time to adapt.

One of them jokingly said, "You've come out of the Colosseum alive, and you still can't stand seeing this? It won't be long before you get used to everything here. If you can survive forever."

Lu Anning frowned. In such a short time, she had witnessed the cruelty here, but she still didn't know where she was.

She thought for a moment and asked with a smile, "Two little brothers, do you know where this place is? I was brought here for no apparent reason."

The man smiled and said, "Now that you're here, forget about leaving. This is an uninhabited island, an empire built by our boss. You've offended Miss Bai Lu, and you're only alive thanks to your own luck. Just try to keep yourself alive for a while!"

Lu Anning's expression grew increasingly grim, and he asked again, "In the Colosseum, is it only life and death?"

The man chuckled twice. "What else? Didn't you see it today? You're lucky this time, but you might not be so lucky next time. In the Colosseum, if you lose, you die."

"What about the winner? Is it going to continue like this forever?"

"Win ten games in a row, and you can leave the Colosseum."

"Leave? Where will you be taken after you leave?"

The two men smiled at each other, turned around and looked at Lu An Ning, and the smiles on their faces became even wider.

"Think about this after you win the next game! Leaving isn't necessarily a good thing."

Lu Anning wanted to ask what was going on with those crazy people, but the two men refused to say more. The iron gate opened, and Lu Anning was pushed in, her face pale with pain. The guards left her, and Lu Anning looked at the two cells to her left and right. Both were empty. She could only find a corner to sit down and eat something to replenish her energy.

Her shoulder was injured and she had just experienced a fierce fight. Now, she didn't even have the strength to open the bottle cap and could only grit her teeth and hold on.

She was thinking about using a dagger to cut open the bottle cap to drink water when the big brother who had just chatted with her brought another person over.

The door opened, and Lu Anning's eyes fell on the medicine box in his hand, and a hint of joy flashed in his eyes.

"You're lucky! Miss Bailu is in a good mood today and has found someone to treat your injuries. This is a treatment that none of the people before have ever received."

Lu Anning naturally didn't really think Bai Lu was so kind. When the doctor helped her pick out the debris, she understood. The doctor did have pain, but he wouldn't give her painkillers.

A piece of wooden chopstick was broken off and left inside, and was stirred by the woman. A lot of wood chips remained in the wound and needed to be picked out bit by bit. She had to endure the whole process.

She stuffed the towel in her mouth, not looking at her wound, and took a deep breath: "Let's start!"
