Aaron couldn't help but sneered: "Listen to you? Who do you think you are?"
An Li just glanced at him coldly: "Who do you think you are! Do you have the right to speak here?"
Aaron's face flushed immediately, and he turned to look at Rose: "Rose, are you going to let a prisoner call the shots in your lab? It's ridiculous to tell anyone about it."
"Alright! Let's do as Professor An says. If you help me, I'll agree to any reasonable request you have regarding the experiment."
"Since you want my help, I don't want anyone to be suspicious of me and affect my mood."
An Li glared at A Long with a hint of meaning, then shifted her gaze to Bai Yue. Seeing him walk so effortlessly, An Li knew he had recovered well. She just hoped he could maintain his current state.
"Mr. Bai's leg has recovered well."
"Thanks to Professor An's miraculous healing skills, I don't know when I'll be able to stand up again. I've always kept the methods you taught me in mind."
An Li smiled slightly: "If the patient is obedient, he will recover quickly. Mr. Bai can walk now, but he must cherish his legs."
She smiled kindly, but her words sounded a bit harsh to Bai Yue's ears, more like she was trying to taunt him.
Before Bai Yue could figure it out, An Li had already changed the subject.
"Since you need my help, don't delay. Take me to the laboratory to see the specific situation and the results of your previous experiments."
Rose was delighted to see An Li so enthusiastic, and even treated her with a little more respect. She was a man of few words when it came to academics. With the help and guidance of professional professors, she would be one step closer to her ideal empire.
When he reached the door, An Li remembered something.
"I need someone I can trust to be my assistant."
She pointed at Tang Jingyuan behind her and said, "Let him come with me."
An Li was stunned for a moment: "He has never touched anything in the laboratory. How about I be your assistant?"
"I dare not. It's him! Didn't you just say that you could let me decide for myself?"
Seeing this, An Li had no choice but to agree.
For the next half day, An Li walked through the entire experimental base while looking at the experimental data handed over by Rose.
Everyone only knew An Li as a skilled doctor, but little did they know that she had an amazing memory since childhood, possessing a photographic memory. Although she was older now, she could still remember most everything after a careful inspection. As the tour neared its end, An Li finally stopped her gaze on the capsule.
Each capsule was used to hold living people for experiments. When they came over, they saw a man with his hands and feet tied and trapped on an iron bed. Someone beside him was about to inject him with the latest group of drugs.
Seeing this, An Li immediately scolded him.
"What are you doing?"
"We're testing the effects of a newly synthesized drug and recording all symptoms that occur after taking it in real time. Professor An, do you have any questions?"
"Stop it immediately! You're wasting your energy by doing this. Stop all human experiments now."
After hearing this, no one moved, just staring at Rose quietly. Even though An Li had the final say, these people would only listen to Rose.
Seeing that they were unmoved, An Li became annoyed: "If you still want me to help you, then do as I say."
An Li curled her lips and said doubtfully, "Professor An, I naturally believe in your professional ability, but you still have to tell me why you stopped human trials? Don't new products need clinical trials? They are my guinea pigs."
An Li snorted coldly, "Although you have great talent, there are some things you still need guidance on. Even the smartest people need a mentor to guide them so they can avoid taking detours. I've seen your synthesis formula, and the reason you failed is because you made a huge mistake in the second step. If you know it's wrong, there's naturally no need to continue with the human trials."
"The second step is wrong?"
Rose couldn't accept this result. She took her own experimental data and looked at it carefully, but still couldn't see what was wrong. It wasn't until An Li pointed it out in front of her that she suddenly realized.
"This direction is wrong from the beginning. You've entered a dead end, so of course you won't be able to achieve what you want."
Rose stared carefully at the data in her hand, as if she had thought of something.
Aaron was about to speak when he was scolded by Rose.
"Don't say anything. Everything is up to Professor An. All work in the laboratory is suspended. Whatever Professor An says is what's done."
Rose's tightly closed world seemed to have been opened a crack. She looked at An Li, her eyes filled with a desire for knowledge.
"Professor An, you're truly amazing. There are still many things I don't understand. Could you answer my questions one by one? This isn't the place to chat. How about we go to the study?"
An Li nodded. "Have everyone in the lab stop what they're doing and stay still for a few days. Clean and disinfect the entire lab. You have to understand that when it comes to achieving 100% purity, even the smallest details can have a significant impact. I also need someone to take Tang Jingyuan outside to check the surrounding humidity and take samples of the water source."
An Li instructed her on a host of matters, no matter how big or small. Rose did not doubt it and thought it was the professor's careful and meticulous approach to his work.
She glanced at Tang Jingyuan, without further communication, turned around and left with Rose.
Just as Tang Jingyuan was about to leave, Bai Yue stopped the two men arranged by A Long.
"You two go ahead and do your work! I'll take him to do these things myself."
Bai Yue looked at Tang Jingyuan and curled his lips: "Let's go!"
