Only two bottles of mineral water were not enough for Lu Anning to stay at sea for too long. She didn't even know her exact location. If she couldn't find a ship, she would die of thirst at sea.
Seeing the guard waving at her with a smile, Lu Anning felt a chill down her spine. The two bottles of mineral water in her hands became her only hope.
Only after the boat drifted away and the islanders were no longer visible did Lu Anning take out the wedding ring Tang Jingyuan had thrust upon her. To be precise, it wasn't the wedding ring she'd worn when she and Tang Jingyuan got married. So, when Tang Jingyuan thrust the ring upon her, intending to end all ties with her, she knew his true intentions.
She was moved because after she left, she was more worried about Tang Jingyuan's safety.
Only then did she carefully examine the ring in her hand. In the sunlight, the ring was shiny and bright. She couldn't tell what it was made of, and there wasn't even a trace of decoration on it. After examining it for a while, Lu Anning couldn't make out any clues.
She frowned. Could this be just an ordinary ring?
But if it was just an ordinary ring, why would Tang Jingyuan lie and say it was a wedding ring and return it to her?
There must be some mystery here that I can’t guess!
She put the ring away and looked around. She could no longer see any marked objects. There was only sea water on all sides. She didn't know if the waves would come up and swallow her up in the next second.
After finally escaping from the isolated island, is she now in another predicament?
Now she can't even find the north, how can she get to the shore alive by relying on a small boat!
Does Rose want her to fend for herself?
Just when Lu Anning didn't know what to do, Gu Feng, who was far away in Kyoto, suddenly received a signal from Tang Jingyuan.
He was almost going crazy for ten whole days, and finally he got news about Tang Jingyuan.
If it weren't for his men intercepting a steady stream of signals, Gu Feng wouldn't have believed it. It was a ring Gu Feng had modified for him before the operation, containing a microchip that couldn't be detected by ordinary machines, let alone the naked eye.
This is to facilitate communication between each other and know each other's location.
But after Tang Jingyuan was replaced, the signal disappeared. He thought he had been discovered and the chip ring was destroyed. Now it seems that there must be a signal blocker where Rose is.
So, Tang Jingyuan left Rose?
Gu Feng no longer hesitated and immediately gathered everyone and rushed to the location of the signal.
The location was remote, located offshore. Traveling by sea would undoubtedly delay their arrival. Gu Feng immediately ordered the combat helicopters to launch. His men, analyzing and scanning, unexpectedly discovered an unidentified, isolated island not far from the signal source. It was quite large.
Gu Feng frowned, with many guesses in his mind. He made a quick decision and decided to save people.
The situation at sea was even more complicated. Besides Tang Jingyuan, he wasn't sure if his mother and younger sister were with him. Three lives were at stake, all of them his family. A single second of delay could mean the difference between their survival and death.
The task force, which had been previously depressed, was perked up again by the sudden appearance of this signal source. Perhaps this time, there would be a new breakthrough.
Unbeknownst to Lu Anning, her reinforcements were approaching. After a while of looking at the azure waters, Lu Anning began to feel a bit dizzy. She was now facing a difficult problem: she was hungry.
But she had never lived on the sea. Although she loved eating fish and had learned many skills, Lu Anning found it difficult to jump in and catch fish with her bare hands.
She had never had enough to eat on the island, and even though the wound on her shoulder had scabbed over, she was exhausted. Going fishing in the sea would likely yield nothing. She searched the boat for something sharp to use as a fishing tool, but all she saw was a rusty hook thrown in the corner.
The sun was at its hottest, and she was already thirsty and hungry. She had no choice but to take a sip of water. After weighing the pros and cons, she decided to go fishing.
Only when she was close to nature did she deeply realize that survival skills were far more effective than those fancy techniques. Fortunately, her swimming skills were not bad, and she could hold her breath underwater for two or three minutes without any problem. However, she didn't know if those two or three minutes would allow her to catch a fish and fill her stomach.
She jumped into the icy sea water and tried to open her eyes to look for her lunch. However, the fish swam too fast and she failed on her first attempt. She tried several times afterwards. The most successful time, she watched a big, slippery fish slip away from her hands and was so angry that she almost choked on a mouthful of water.
She lay on the side of the boat and gasped for breath, deeply aware of the importance of survival skills. Theory and practice are two completely different things.
The fish in the sea are obviously much more cunning than the fish in the farm. If she can't catch them, will she always be hungry?
Just then, she accidentally kicked something hard, like some kind of shell. She dove back into the sea. When she emerged a moment later, she was holding two large conch shells. There were many more like them under the boat.
It seems that she is luckier.
Lu An Ning forced herself to hold on and picked up the conchs attached to the bottom of the boat one by one. There were also some seaweed attached to them. These things could be used as food to fill her stomach, at least not to starve to death for the time being.
Just as she was about to go ashore, a clumsy fish appeared out of nowhere and swam towards her. It wasn't just Lu Anning's experience, it was also the fish that was a bit clumsy. Lu Anning suddenly made a move, caught the fish with precision, and immediately threw it into the boat.
She looked at the food on the boat breathlessly and finally breathed a sigh of relief.
By the time she climbed up, she was exhausted. After taking a big gulp of water, she slowly recovered. Looking at the fish still struggling on the boat, Lu Anning looked troubled.
The food was found, but was she going to eat it raw?
