235: Teachers' Protection
Everyone in the office was looking at Fu Hong.
Fu Hong used to be a teacher. Who would become a teacher if they have a bright future? They get a fixed salary every month, are exhausted from taking care of students at school, and then have to work overtime for free when they get home, correcting papers and writing lesson plans... Fu Hong, an art teacher, doesn't have to work so hard. Her ex-husband Gu Wenting is a math teacher. Mathematics has always been a very important subject, so Gu Wenting's teaching workload is particularly heavy.
The main reason why Fu Hong didn't want to be a teacher was that she couldn't stand the ordinary life that she could predict the end of.
She took a gamble and broke free from the constraints of life, and she did not regret her choice.
Hearing Teacher Li's accusation, Fu Hong disagreed deep down in her heart. After learning that Teacher Li had taught Gu Jun, Fu Hong's expression immediately changed to guilt.
Fu Hong decided to perform for Teacher Li.
If she didn't act, Teacher Li would not tell her about Gu Jun!
"I have my own difficulties. When Gu Jun's father and I divorced, I was unemployed, and I still had a young son. If Gu Jun had been taken away with me, the three of us would have died. I don't know what Gu Jun's father would do... The past cannot be changed. Now I just want to make amends to Gu Jun. Teacher Li, please have mercy on me and give me a chance to reconcile with my son."
Fu Hong wiped the corners of her eyes as she spoke.
Several female bodyguards exchanged glances; they all knew that Fu Hong was lying.
If this woman really wanted to make amends to Mr. Gu, she wouldn't have cursed him hysterically or called the police!
However, Gu Jun had instructed that no matter who Fu Hong met or what she said to others, the female bodyguards should not stop her. Seeing Fu Hong deceiving the honest Mr. Li, the female bodyguards could only feel indignant in their hearts: they would record Fu Hong's every move and report it to Mr. Gu!
Fu Hong is a very aloof woman. When she acts strong, Teacher Li will retort her. When she lowers her head to show weakness, Teacher Li doesn't know what to say.
Teacher Li felt something was amiss with Fu Hong, but couldn't pinpoint what. Just as she was feeling apprehensive, Principal Tao strode into the office. "Madam, if you want to mend your relationship with your son, wouldn't it be better to focus on him? Gu Jun has been out of school for over a decade, and you're still here asking about him? With so many students graduating every year, how could we possibly remember every student's whereabouts?"
Fu Hong didn't believe what Principal Tao said.
Teacher Li may not know how other students are doing, but he definitely knows about Gu Jun's situation. After all, Teacher Li even knows that Gu Jun's grandfather is sick. He knows Gu Jun very well!
Fu Hong bypassed Principal Tao and continued to plead with Teacher Li: "Please, Gu Jun and I can't communicate at all now. If you don't tell me, I will never know what Gu Jun has been through..."
Teacher Li was in a dilemma. Principal Tao glared at Teacher Li and said, "Mr. Li, don't you still have classes? Go to class first. I'll handle this."
Fu Hong cried and Teacher Li was soft-hearted, but Principal Tao's heart was as solid as the strongest pottery!
After Teacher Li left, Fu Hong wanted to wipe her tears in front of Principal Tao again, but Principal Tao didn't buy it at all: "You say you are Gu Jun's mother, what evidence do you have? Students' files are personal privacy. We can't show them to you without the student's consent."
Principal Tao insisted on making a big deal out of it, and Fu Hong hit a wall. Her ever-powerful charm was completely useless in front of Principal Tao.
Fu Hong pointed at several female bodyguards and said, "They can prove that I am Gu Jun's mother. They were hired by Gu Jun."
The female bodyguards remained silent.
Fu Hong was angry. "You were all rushing to speak at the police station, why are you all mute now?"
The female bodyguards continued to remain silent.
Principal Tao noticed something was wrong and his attitude towards Fu Hong became even worse: "How about this, you give Gu Jun a call. If he agrees, I'll help you transfer the file."
If Fu Hong could just make a phone call and get Gu Jun to cooperate, would she have to go through the trouble of coming to the school to inquire?
Principal Tao's eyes were filled with scrutiny: "You're not a liar, are you? Come on, let's go to the police station and explain everything!"
Fu Hong called the police several times but didn't get the desired result. Now she felt sick when she heard the word "police station". She left the school with a sullen look on her face.
As soon as Fu Hong left, Principal Tao immediately called Teacher Li back.
Not only Teacher Li, but also all of Gu Jun's subject teachers at the time, as well as teachers from the Academic Affairs Office who knew about Gu Jun's situation, all gathered together at the notice of Principal Tao.
"That woman just now must be Gu Jun's mother. She has come to the school, so she must be up to no good."
Teacher Li thought that it would be enough to ignore Fu Hong.
Principal Tao shook his head. "It's not that simple. Don't you guys watch short videos? Don't you think that woman looks familiar?"
Principal Tao showed everyone a video of Fu Hong's interview. When Teacher Li heard Fu Hong say that she could provide her son Jason's medical records to prove that he had a serious mental illness, she gasped: "How could she do this!"
What mother would treat her own son like this?
For sick children, parents should be more careful and caring instead of letting everyone know that their children are different from normal people.
Principal Tao was worried. "You just heard that the woman surnamed Fu abandoned Gu Jun and took their youngest son away. The youngest son must be Jason. She raised her youngest son and yet she hurt him so wantonly. If she knew Gu Jun's privacy, do you think she would use the same method to deal with him?"
Principal Tao's words startled everyone, including Teacher Li.
Everyone was discussing in whispers.
Principal Tao raised his hand and pressed it down. "It's not easy for Gu Jun to get to where he is today. He got caught in the rain himself, yet he held an umbrella for others. I don't want to see him being dragged out and cyberbullied by his so-called mother one day. I will remind Gu Jun of what happened today, and I also remind everyone to protect every student's privacy. When faced with such matters, we would rather be foolish and have a bad memory than make any unnecessary comments!"
Principal Tao's words made everyone nod in agreement.
Teacher Li was even more convinced by Principal Tao.
Teacher Li felt that he was good enough to just do teaching work, because being a school leader, especially the principal, was not something that just anyone could do!
…
After receiving the call from Principal Tao, Gu Jun was stunned for a long time.
Principal Tao made a series of speeches, emphasizing the teachers' support for Gu Jun. If Fu Hong ever wanted to use online media to target Gu Jun, all the teachers in the school would be able to testify on his behalf.
A person who gives birth to a child but does not raise it is not worthy of being a mother.
Fu Hong wanted to use moral kidnapping, so Principal Tao led the teachers to cut the "rope" that Fu Hong used to kidnap Gu Jun!
"……thank you."
Apart from saying thank you, Gu Jun didn't know what to say.
Allowing Fu Hong to verify his identity was what Gu Jun did on purpose.
Regardless of whether Fu Hong found out or not, she would be forced to contact the man who the neighbors said rarely came home.
But Gu Jun didn't expect that the teachers in the school would protect him so much.
Gu Jun is not afraid of others treating him badly, but he is not used to others being too nice to him, which makes Gu Jun panic inside.
After hanging up the phone with Principal Tao, Gu Jun subconsciously drove to Xu Yao's new residence.
He wanted to see Xu Yao, even if it was just from a distance.
