Chapter 3 003: Affectionate Drama

In the early morning, the sky was gloomy and there was a wisp of fog in the air.

Su Yang sat up from the bed, his face a bit dazed and confused.

There was still a little warmth from where her hands were resting. She looked around with a melancholy and hazy gaze. In the huge master bedroom, she could only hear her breathing, and did not see the handsome figure from last night.

Su Yang threw back the quilt and got out of bed, went to the bathroom to wash up, then went to the cloakroom to change into a refreshing and slightly mature purple plaid suit dress.

After passing through the corridor separating the front hall, I saw a slightly plump middle-aged woman wearing an apron standing next to the restaurant.

"Ma'am, you're awake."

She is the nanny who takes care of Rong Zhan's daily life in Rongge Mansion. She had met her when she moved in the day before yesterday.

"Well, good morning, Mrs. Luo." Su Yang responded calmly, her eyes moving around casually.

"Breakfast is ready, come and have it, ma'am." Mrs. Luo smiled naively and wiped her hands on her apron.

Su Yang nodded and walked to the dining room, where the nanny, Mrs. Luo, thoughtfully pulled out a chair for her.

"Thank you." Su Yang bent down and sat down, looking at the nutritionally balanced and rich breakfast on the table, took a sip of milk, and asked calmly, "Where's Rong Zhan?"

"Sir, he just had breakfast and went out to the company. He was unconscious for too long this time, and there must be a lot of things piled up at the company, so he didn't wait for you to get up and have breakfast together." Mrs. Luo smiled and answered respectfully.

After hearing this, Su Yang didn't say much. After breakfast, Su Yang drove to the TV station.

As soon as she entered the TV station, Su Yang discovered that many colleagues passing by her would look at her strangely, either sizing her up, or with envy, or even... ridicule.

As Su Yang entered the elevator, his cell phone rang with a clear reminder tone.

It was a WeChat message from my good friend Tao Anwen.

"See you at the usual place tonight?"

Su Yang curled her red lips slightly and simply replied with an 'OK'.

"Teacher Su is really in high spirits. She just had her wedding banquet yesterday and returned to work at the TV station today. In terms of professionalism, we are still ashamed of ourselves."

"Teacher He, our teacher Su has always been a role model in the station. Although she got married without a groom present, she will definitely still attend this class."

Just as Su Yang put away his phone, two sarcastic and mocking voices rang out behind him.

"Ah, it's pitiful for Director Li, that affectionate man. Some people will do anything to curry favor with the rich and powerful and become a phoenix. As expected, illegitimate daughters cannot even be shown on stage." The host looked at her indifferent and cold back and continued to speak unwillingly.

As soon as the elevator arrived, Su Yang slightly turned sideways, and his indifferent eyes swept across the faces of the two hosts like two ice blades.

"Teacher Zheng and Teacher He, there's no need to be so modest. Even though I'm not presentable, am I still living under the same roof with you?"

After Su Yang said this elegantly, she walked out of the elevator in her high heels, not caring how ugly the two people's faces were.

When I turned the corner, I saw a figure in a striped suit coming towards me. He seemed very gentlemanly and polite when talking to his colleagues. He paused for only two seconds, pursed his red lips, and then calmly looked away.

The people walking towards her were also stunned when they saw her, and stopped for a while. They found that she had no intention of saying hello, but just walked past them with a frown on her face.

“Yangyang…”

Her words were merciless and extremely cold, which made Li Chengnian feel a little embarrassed. After signaling to the staff beside him to let her go first, he raised his hand to push the frame of his glasses and looked at her affectionately.

"I know you are blaming me. I actually went to your wedding yesterday. You looked really beautiful in your wedding dress, even more beautiful than I imagined. But when I saw you standing there alone, I felt..."

"Does my little sister know about the affectionate drama performed by Director Li?" Su Yang interrupted him impatiently with a look of contempt.

There were many colleagues passing by them, all of whom would look back at them curiously, then whisper and make faces as they left.

Li Chengnian's heart ached, and he looked quite hurt: "Yangyang, do we have to be so unfamiliar with each other?"

"There's really no need to be so unfamiliar. Director Li should soon go from being my colleague to being my brother-in-law. Once the wedding date is set, I, as his elder sister, will naturally prepare a generous gift for him."

Her voice was not loud, but it was loud enough for people passing by to hear clearly.

Li Chengnian felt a little embarrassed as he accepted the strange looks from those people. He moved his lips and was about to explain when a clear and beautiful female voice spoke first.

"Sister Yang, your coffee."

Assistant Zhuang Tong came over with a cup of coffee, nodded slightly to Li Chengnian, and then looked at Su Yang: "The manuscript for the lunch news has come down, Director Xiao and the others are already in the conference room."

"Thank you." Su Yang took it, handed the bag to Zhuang Tong, turned around and walked away.

Zhuang Tong glanced at Li Chengnian, blinked innocently, smiled awkwardly, then looked at Su Yang's departing back and quickly ran over with both legs: "Sister Yang, wait for me."

Li Chengnian pulled his suit jacket closer unnaturally, glanced around hastily, looked in the direction where Su Yang left, clenched his fists, and a hint of viciousness flashed in his eyes behind the lenses.

——

"Today's news broadcast is over. Thank you for watching. Goodbye."

Su Yang raised a faint smile at the corner of her mouth, looked at the camera and nodded slightly, sorting out the materials on the table. When she saw the director made an OK gesture, she got down from the high stool, took off the microphone and handed it to assistant Zhuang Tong, and drank a sip of the water she handed over.

After finishing the last live broadcast, Su Yang said hello to the director, declined his invitation for dinner, took the bag and phone from Zhuang Tong, and went straight off work.

Waiting·Waiting for one person music bar.

The resident singers sang sad and eloquent folk songs on the stage, and the dim and elegant air was filled with the rich aroma of wine.

"So, your husband woke up last night?" Tao Anwen shook the brandy in the glass, her eyes flickering with interest and charm, and she smiled and teased: "How is it? Are you satisfied with your new husband? Is he as handsome as the reports say?"

Su Yang held a glass of classic cocktail, brought it to his lips and sipped it gently, thinking for a moment, his eyebrows raised frivolously: "Well, you have a good figure, with six-pack abs."

"Tsk tsk tsk, I can see that you had a very fulfilling wedding night last night." Tao Anwen glanced at her ambiguously and winked at her slyly like a fox.

"Hey, isn't this my sister? What a coincidence."

A clear, melodious voice with a hint of obvious provocation suddenly sounded.
