Chapter 306: Not Tasty, No Money Needed
Old Lady Wen glanced at her and said, "Ten tables are quite a lot."
"It's okay. The main thing is that the portions are large, so I just need to control the taste. It's just like when I cook a whole table of dishes."
"That's true."
The next day.
Wen Zhenyi took Axiang to Zuixianju. Although the banquet would last the whole afternoon, she still had to prepare some seasonings.
The shopkeeper smiled when he saw her: "Miss Wen, you are here."
"Here I come."
The shopkeeper saw that she came empty-handed and hesitated whether to speak.
Wen Zhenyi saw that he was hesitant to speak, so he said, "Boss, if you have something to say, you might as well speak up."
The shopkeeper grinned and said, "Miss Wen, did you bring any kimchi?"
"Kimchi?" Wen Zhenyi just remembered that she had forgotten about it, which made her feel a little awkward: "Boss, I forgot."
"Ah!" The shopkeeper's expression was still a little embarrassed: "It's okay if you forget, it's okay."
Wen Zhenyi looked at Axiang and said, "Axiang, please remember this for me and remind me when we get back."
"yes."
Wen Zhenyi could only quickly slip away to the kitchen. She was so busy that she forgot about this matter.
When Chef Zhang saw her, he didn't say anything: "Miss Wen, we've bought all the ingredients. See if there's anything you've missed."
Wen Zhenyi looked at the various ingredients, large and small, in the basin and nodded with satisfaction: "Nothing is missing. I need some minced garlic and chili peppers."
"Do you need much?"
"We need a lot today, but if you have nothing to do, you can make more. The leftovers can be kept for your use."
"For us?" Chef Zhang's eyes lit up.
"Well, I'm dealing with seafood today, and I think you'll learn a lot."
Chef Zhang and the others were so surprised that their mouths almost stretched to their ears: "Okay, okay, okay."
The waiters like Qian Tu would arrive later, and when they saw her, they would run over to greet her: "Miss Wen, Miss Axiang."
When Wen Zhenyi saw him, he almost didn't recognize him. He had grown taller and stronger, and his appearance had changed a bit. "It seems like he's doing well."
"I haven't had time to thank you yet."
"We're a family from now on, so it's a bit awkward to say that."
"I'm going to work. Call me if you need anything." Qian Tu smiled brightly.
Ah Xiang watched him run away: "He has changed a lot."
"It's quite big."
After checking the ingredients in the morning and finding they were all ok, she started preparing the ingredients.
The seafood ingredients are mainly to remove the fishy smell, and she also prepared other side dishes.
I originally wanted to make a dish of glutinous rice and pork belly, but unfortunately I didn’t buy pork today, so I had to give up.
The pork and dishes are really frustrating. Now I just hope that the piglets in my pig farm can grow up quickly so that I can make more delicious food.
Before mealtime, there is basically not much to do in the kitchen except washing and preparing vegetables.
Wen Zhenyi simply taught Chef Zhang how to make dipping sauce and garlic sauce.
While Chef Zhang was cooking, Wen Zhenyi pointed out the mistakes he made. After several attempts, he finally managed to get the taste she wanted.
“This tastes just right.”
Chef Zhang's forehead is now covered with sweat. If he doesn't do something right, he will feel like he can't cook at all.
Wen Zhenyi handed him the sauce and said, "Try it."
Chef Zhang dipped a chopstick in the sauce and put it into his mouth. The aroma of garlic, spiciness, and other seasonings exploded in his mouth.
This feeling is so wonderful, like all the seasonings are blended together, but you can still distinguish their different flavors.
"tasty."
"Remember this taste, and make it taste the same next time."
Chef Zhang nodded: "Okay."
The seasoning on their side was almost ready, and the restaurant's lunch time arrived as scheduled.
"Hey man, are there any pickled fish today?"
"Sorry, sir, there is still no kimchi fish today."
"Then why did I come here to eat?" the diner said and prepared to get up and leave.
The shopkeeper saw this and quickly stood up to stop him: "Sir, we don't have kimchi fish, we have other dishes!"
"I've eaten everything in your restaurant. How can there be anything new?" The diner looked impatient.
Wen Zhenyi had originally planned to stroll out to take a look, but who knew he would come across this scene: "Why don't you try the seafood, sir?"
The diner turned to look at Wen Zhenyi: "Who are you?"
"I'm just a kitchen helper in the store."
"What's so good about seafood? It's fishy and has no meat." The diner said with disgust.
"Why don't you try it? If it doesn't taste good, you don't have to pay."
"Really? No charge if it doesn't taste good?"
"real."
"Okay. Then give me the seafood you mentioned."
The shopkeeper looked at Wen Zhenyi, who just smiled slightly and turned to walk towards the kitchen.
Wen Zhenyi divided some of the seafood they bought and made two dishes: stir-fried clams and blanched prawns.
Qian Tu was a little stunned when he came in and served the dishes. They looked delicious.
Wen Zhenyi taught him how to eat blanched prawns and asked him to teach the guests how to eat it later.
Qian Tu had a good memory and could remember everything after just one try. He nodded and took the two dishes out.
Chef Zhang watched Qian Tu leave and said, "Miss Wen, aren't these the ingredients you'll need this afternoon? If you cook them for the lunch customers, what will you do this afternoon?"
"Can't you go buy me some more?"
"Yes, yes, yes." After Chef Zhang said this, he immediately asked someone to buy all the seafood available at the market.
Wen Zhenyi was also curious about the diners' reactions after eating, so he simply walked to the front hall to take a look.
The shopkeeper stood next to the diner, watching him devour the seafood like a whirlwind, and the expression on his face was almost unbearable.
Qian Tu walked up to her and whispered, "Miss Wen, I think he will like seafood."
"This is great. It's near the sea, so it's really nice to eat seafood."
The shopkeeper looked at the empty plate in front of the diner, while the table in front of him was piled with clam and shrimp shells. "Are you satisfied, sir?"
"Satisfied, satisfied, really very satisfied. Is there anything else to eat?" The diners licked their lips, still feeling a little unsatisfied.
"There are also steamed fish, crabs, and other shellfish."
"Can we order now?"
The shopkeeper looked at him rubbing his stomach and asked, "Sir, are you sure you can still eat?"
The diner was in a dilemma. He was a little full, but he also wanted to try something else: "Hey! Is there any more tomorrow?"
The shopkeeper didn't dare to agree and could only look at where Wen Zhenyi was standing.
Wen Zhenyi smiled and nodded.
The shopkeeper got a positive answer and said with a smile: "Of course you can eat it."
"Okay, okay, I'll ask some friends to come over tomorrow, so don't lie to me."
"How dare I lie to you?"
