Chapter 6 Only I Have the Right to Call a Halt

Minglu hailed a taxi and spent the entire ride in a daze.

Right now, she has two things to do.

One thing is to get rid of the original owner's messy relationships with men and women.

The other thing is to make money and pay off the debts.

The day the original owner had the car accident happened to be the day she was supposed to meet Zou Jinnian. The original owner received a call from Ming Jiaojiao and stood Zou Jinnian up.

The original owner left in such a hurry that he didn't have time to take any of his identification documents.

Mingluo was too lazy to reissue the document, so she simply came to pick it up.

The car was parked at Hailong Bay. Mingluo scanned the QR code to pay and then got out of the car.

The two cars immediately stopped in front of and behind Mingluo, and four people got out of the cars and stood respectfully in front of Mingluo, blocking her escape routes in all directions.

"Ms. Ming, Mr. Zou wants to see you."

A cold glint appeared in Mingluo's eyes, and a sneer appeared on her lips.

When the original owner first met Zou Jinnian, he was in awe of him.

In the original owner's eyes, Zou Jinnian was a high-ranking figure, while she herself was just a part-time waitress serving tea and water. The difference in their social classes was like heaven and earth.

Moreover, at that time, the original owner only had eyes for Jing Yan and disdained other men.

However, Zou Jinnian appeared in the original owner's life in an extremely domineering and forceful manner.

The Zou family is a newly wealthy and powerful family that can crush the Jing family with a flick of their finger. The original owner of this body submitted to Zou Jinnian's tyranny for Jing Yan's sake, but what did Jing Yan give her in return?

How stupid!

Mingluo's lips curled into a mocking smile.

She is different.

The god-slaying Mingluo has slaughtered his way through the six realms, and has always lived only for himself.

She said calmly, "Lead the way!"

The four of them were stunned for a moment, not expecting Mingluo to cooperate like this. Every time before, she would cry and whine, making it seem as if they were forcibly taking innocent women away, although... in essence, they were pretty much the same.

"Miss Ming, this way please."

Hailong Bay is a private garden with a beautifully landscaped layout. The houses feature clean, geometric lines and bright floor-to-ceiling windows, creating a blend of modern and classical aesthetics.

The garden boasts an elegant and grand landscape, possessing both the beauty of the Jiangnan water towns and the vastness of northern courtyards.

In the past, the original owner quite liked to come here and sit when Zou Jinnian was not around.

The four of them led Mingluo to a white house and then stopped.

Mingluo pushed open the door and walked in with her back straight, her demeanor elegant and noble, as if this were her own backyard. She showed none of the fear and pitifulness she had displayed earlier, like a rabbit.

Upstairs, Zou Jinnian watched the surveillance video as Ming Luo walked up step by step, his brows furrowed deeply.

Mingluo is different now.

She's completely different now compared to before.

Perhaps it was because of the car accident?

The door opened, and he turned off the monitor with the remote, waiting patiently for Mingluo to explain her whereabouts.

Mingluo pushed open the door and came in, not surprised to see Zou Jinnian.

She reached out and took the original owner's bag, slowly checked that all the documents were in order, and then turned to go downstairs.

"..."

Zou Jinnian's brows furrowed slightly. Was he being ignored?

"You have nothing to say?" he said coldly, a deep suspicion in his eyes.

Minglu stopped at the doorway, turned around and chuckled, "Kill the Jing family? Go ahead!"

Jingyan?

What does it have to do with her?

She doesn't have the strength right now; if she did, the first family she would deal with would be the Jing family.

Zou Jinnian's eyes suddenly turned cold. "Don't you have anything to say to me?"

"Goodbye! Don't bother me again, or else..." Mingluo's beautiful eyes were mocking, making no attempt to hide her sarcasm.

Zou Jinnian's eyes were dark and unfathomable, and a desperate possessive desire to own the woman in front of him surged up within him. He gripped the sofa armrest tightly to suppress the sudden urge and said coldly, "What else?"

"Otherwise, I'll beat you up!"

Minglu slammed the door shut.

Zou Jinnian's heart skipped a beat; the desire lurking deep within him only intensified, making him particularly eager to do something.

He felt very agitated.

Ever since he met Mingluo at a party, he has been unable to control his desire to see her, to imprison her, and to possess her.

But deep down, he felt that he was cold-hearted by nature and could never fall in love with a woman.

Therefore, he found a way to coexist peacefully with Mingluo. Mingluo would come to Hailong Bay twice a week, and he promised not to touch her or the Jing family, and would provide compensation until he called a halt, at which point the agreement would automatically terminate.

But she broke the contract, disappeared for a week, and refused to answer his calls.

This woman is too arrogant; she needs to be taught a lesson.

Zou Jinnian's eyes flashed with cold light as he reached out and pressed the remote control.

The door in front of Mingluo clicked shut with a safety lock, making it impossible for him to leave without his fingerprints.

He pressed the remote control and saw Mingluo looking up at a camera on the monitor.

Zou Jinnian couldn't help but say coldly, "Come up here. Only I have the right to call a halt. You are not allowed to go anywhere until I give you permission."

He decided to keep her by his side for a month, and after that month, perhaps the impulse would subside.

When she's no longer needed, she can leave at any time.

Mingluo's eyes were dark and unfathomable.

interesting!

She had always thought this place was a society governed by the rule of law, just as the original owner had imagined, but unexpectedly, it gave her a pleasant surprise.

Are there really scumbags like this who think they can do whatever they want?

Very good!

She casually picked up a golf club from the bucket and swung it at the monitor. The shattered image was fully displayed on another monitor screen. Mingluo's posture was stylish and elegant, full of provocation.
