"Don't worry, your mom has seen it all. I took the opportunity to escape from the house. I'm taking a taxi to your place now. Send me the address, and I'll be right there."
Qian Xiulan hurriedly stated that she had not been caught and said nothing more.
Otherwise, she was very afraid that her daughter would ignore her.
Ming Jiaojiao felt much better when she heard that she hadn't been blocked.
She was really afraid that her mother would cause some trouble again.
She sent the address, feeling extremely conflicted.
She can't let Qian Xiulan stay by her side any longer; who knows what trouble Qian Xiulan will cause this time.
But she couldn't let Qian Xiulan go back to her hometown, as she suspected that reporters were waiting there to ambush her.
Given Qian Xiulan's big mouth, if she were ever stopped, she would probably say everything she should and shouldn't have said.
She thought that there still needed to be a place where Qian Xiulan could stay peacefully.
The most important thing now is to cool down the hype surrounding this matter and make sure it doesn't affect her.
Having made up her mind, she waited patiently for Qian Xiulan to arrive.
Jing Yan was completely unaware of her feelings.
He read the comments online and became increasingly angry.
Because everyone called him a scumbag.
He finally couldn't hold back and started arguing with people online, saying that Luo was a player, that she clearly had a boyfriend but still seduced many men and accepted gifts from other men, and that such a player deserved to be cheated on.
Jing Yan cursed vehemently, but the bad luck around him only grew stronger.
Then, he got up to get the thing, but his foot tripped in mid-air, and he fell forward, crashing into the wall and smashing his head.
Hearing the commotion, Ming Jiaojiao rushed over and saw Jing Yan covered in blood, and immediately screamed.
"Jingyan, what's wrong? How could this happen?"
"Get me to the hospital, quick!"
Ming Jiaojiao gritted her teeth and hurriedly took Jing Yan to the hospital. On the way, she sent a message to Qian Xiulan, asking her to wait at the door for a while.
Upon arriving at the hospital, things got hectic.
Jing Yan, with a bandage wrapped around his forehead and a dejected look on his face, left the hospital and headed home.
As soon as I got near Jing Yan’s house, I saw Qian Xiulan arguing from afar.
Qian Xiulan was spouting nonsense at a woman dressed in an extremely flamboyant manner across from her.
"Where did you come from, you vixen, coming here to seduce my son-in-law? Get out of here right now, or I'll scratch your face and make you look bad."
"Your son-in-law? Jing Yan is married? How come I didn't know? If he's not married, you have no right to call him your son-in-law."
The radiant woman didn't take Qian Xiulan seriously at all; her words were harsh, yet her tone remained delicate.
Qian Xiulan disliked these seductive, alluring women the most; their affected manner made her eyes red with jealousy.
Most importantly, she knew her daughter all too well; she was plain-looking and nothing compared to the enchantress before her.
Her daughter finally managed to snag a wealthy husband, so she absolutely mustn't let him be seduced away by some other vixen.
She even pointed to the dowry from her daughter as money to buy a house for her son.
She immediately retorted, "He's already living with my daughter, he's my son-in-law. Otherwise, what? You want to shirk responsibility? I don't care where you're from, get out of here right now."
"Your daughter? Ming Jiaojiao?"
"Yes, what's wrong?" Qian Xiulan felt a little guilty, as if her daughter's reputation wasn't very good.
The woman sneered, "Don't even think about it. Ming Jiaojiao will never be able to enter the Jing family in this lifetime."
"The Jing family...you're from the Jing family?" Qian Xiulan finally realized what was happening. She stared at the woman in front of her in disbelief, completely stunned.
After much deliberation, Ming Jiaojiao finally managed to find her way around, and then she heard this sentence.
The Jing family?
Are these people from the Jing family?
She felt as if she had been struck by lightning, as if her whole body was about to explode.
Hearing the noise, the woman slowly turned around, her eyes coldly fixed on the two of them.
Her gaze swept disdainfully over Ming Jiaojiao, then landed on Jing Yan, and she was horrified.
"What happened to your head? How did it get rotten?"
Jing Yan's expression was a little unpleasant. "Mom, why did you come here?"
"Mom?" Ming Jiaojiao felt as if she had been struck by lightning.
Jing Yan's mother, Fang Su, sneered, "Why would I come here? If I hadn't come, I wouldn't have known you were such a scoundrel. Come in here."
Jing Yan had no choice but to lower his head and slink inside, helpless against his mother's influence.
Ming Jiaojiao hurriedly followed her inside.
Fang Su sneered: "Who are you, and what gives you the right to enter my house?"
"Auntie, I'm so sorry, my mom misunderstood." Ming Jiaojiao's eyes were brimming with tears as she looked pitifully at Jing Yan.
Jing Yan immediately frowned. "Mom, this is my girlfriend. We're already living together."
Fang Su scoffed.
They're both ancient fox spirits, why are you playing these ghost stories with her here?
She immediately clutched her chest, groaning and leaning against Jing Yan.
Jing Yan supported his mother, knowing that if he didn't do what she wanted today, she could really make him faint from anger.
Without hesitation, he said to Ming Jiaojiao, "Jiaojiao, go outside for a walk first. I'll try to talk to my mom. I'll call you later."
Ming Jiaojiao was stunned.
She was filled with shame, never expecting that Jing Yan would actually let her leave.
Can't he tell that his mother is faking it?
But she quickly realized that Jing Yan couldn't tell his mother was faking it, which was why he couldn't tell she was faking it.
She said, feeling wronged, "Okay, be careful not to get the wound wet, I'll wait for you."
