Xiaobao and Lu Jiayang sat side by side on a small stool in the yard, talking and chatting. Xiaobao finally saw every corner of their not-so-small yard.
On both sides of the entrance are two vegetable plots surrounded by stone walls. Because they are separate, they don’t look very big, and even look a bit cute after being enclosed.
In addition, there are two special embellishments.
There is a small pavilion next to the vegetable garden on the left, right next to the kitchen. The space in the pavilion is not big, with only a stone table and a few stone benches. It seems that it can only barely accommodate the six brothers.
The pavilion looked very ordinary, but when he looked up, the lush grape racks were glowing green, adding a slightly different feeling to the entire pavilion.
The open space on the right is relatively wider. Next to the vegetable patch, there is a very conspicuous cobblestone path. Following the direction of the path, you will see another circular area surrounded by stones.
It’s just that the stones there seem to be more beautiful and exquisite. Although Xiaobao doesn’t know what types of stones there are, he can still see that they are different from the stone walls in the vegetable garden.
"Baby, what are you looking at?"
Lu Jiayang tilted his head and saw that his eyes were fixed on a certain place, so he followed his gaze and pointed, "Is it that fish pond?"
Xiaobao blinked his eyes and said cheerfully, "So that's a fish pond! What kind of fish are there? Are there any koi?"
"Baby, do you like koi?" Lu Jiayang smiled, "But I don't have this."
"In fact, our fish pond has been empty for almost two years. At first, I didn't have the energy to take care of it, and later I simply didn't have the time or energy. The same goes for the vegetable garden, which has been abandoned for a long time."
Lu Jiayang didn't say much, but Xiaobao naturally knew the reason. However, it was useless to mention it again and again since it had already happened.
While feeling regretful and sorry in his heart, Xiaobao silently decided to help his brothers revitalize the landscape of their yard.
All kinds of thoughts drifted in the wind for a long time. As the sun began to get warmer, Xiaobao realized that they had been chatting here for almost half an hour.
"Third brother, am I disturbing your practice?" Xiaobao asked sincerely.
"Huh?" Lu Jiayang looked at him. "That's not true. Whether it's singing or dancing, it can't be mastered overnight. I won't lose anything if I practice one day less, and I won't become famous if I practice one day more."
"Besides, your third brother's basic skills are very solid. How could I be easily affected?"
Xiaobao was so confident when he spoke, and he was already full of curiosity when he was in the house, so he asked the question directly and boldly.
"Third brother, I heard from Fifth brother that you started learning dance when you were young and have always loved it. So why did you give up halfway?"
"Well..." Lu Jiayang sighed, "It's a long story."
As soon as he finished speaking, Xiaobao stood up, ran into the living room quickly, picked up two cups, filled them with water, and ran back. He handed one cup to Lu Jiayang and held the other in his own hand.
"That's all right now." Xiaobao moved his stool and sat opposite Lu Jiayang. "Third brother, please speak slowly."
Lu Jiayang was so embarrassed that he didn't know whether to laugh or cry: "Baby, you are so considerate!"
"Since you want to know so much, I'll tell you roughly."
"I've always had different hobbies from other kids. Although that didn't stop me from playing with them, when they were playing with toys or watching cartoons, I preferred listening to music and dancing like the people on TV."
Lu Jiayang took a sip of water and continued, "After my parents discovered my hobby, they thought it was a good thing for children to learn more skills, so they enrolled me in a class without hesitation and let me receive professional training."
"I studied for six years, and that period lasted throughout my entire primary school years. I won countless awards for this, and my parents were really happy for me. My life was busy and fulfilling, and I wasn't afraid of any setbacks."
"However, precisely because they never expressed any dissatisfaction, I always thought they supported my dream." Lu Jiayang smiled bitterly, "But in the end, I was just thinking too much."
"Why?" Xiao Bao saw his dejected look and couldn't help but feel distressed. "Third brother's dream is to become a big star? That's a good thing."
"It's certainly a good thing to be able to shine on the stage and have the love and support of countless fans," Lu Jiayang said. "But my parents' words brought me back to reality from my beautiful fantasy."
"Although our family is not poor, we are definitely not wealthy either. We have always been able to make ends meet. However, for an ordinary family like us, the dream of becoming a star and entering the entertainment industry is too unrealistic."
"It's like a bottomless black hole. We don't have enough money to throw in, nor do we have the power and connections to fight for that already scarce opportunity. It's a gamble. If we fail, everything will be lost."
"So in my parents' eyes, this path was too difficult. I know they didn't want me to suffer, nor did they want me to regret this choice one day, so they killed my dream when I was in junior high school."
Lu Jiayang closed his eyes, his voice a little hoarse: "I don't blame them, but it's really hard for me not to be sad."
"I suppressed my desire for more than two years, until I was in the third year of junior high school when I couldn't help myself. I dug out the CDs of a star I had loved since childhood and listened to a few of his songs over and over again. I then realized that as long as a dream is rooted in the heart, it will sprout with just the slightest touch, no matter how long it has been."
