Chapter 50 Reluctance

Xiaobao didn't know what time he fell asleep, but he was woken up by Li Mingyang the next morning.

"Um...Brother Yangyang, what's wrong?"

The little guy didn't even open his eyes, and spoke to him in a daze, as if he was about to fall asleep in the next second.

"Xiaobao, I need to go out for a while," Li Mingyang said softly, holding his little hand. "My grandparents are back, but my parents are also here. They asked me to come over."

Hearing this, Xiaobao's sleepiness disappeared. Although his eyes were half open, his mind was much clearer. "Where are you going to find them? Didn't Grandpa Li and the others go straight home after returning?"

"Well, no," Li Mingyang said, "They are at the train station. They asked me to...pack my things and go over there quickly."

"Are you going to leave with your uncle and aunt?" Xiao Bao perked up completely, sitting up and looking at him anxiously, "But the conflict between you hasn't been resolved yet. What if they make you work so hard after you go back? What if they send you abroad? What if... they don't let you come back here?"

Li Mingyang lowered his eyes and looked at the little guy holding his hand tightly. Suddenly, he felt sour and swollen in his heart, and felt particularly uncomfortable.

He kicked off his slippers and climbed onto the bed, reaching out to hold the uneasy little guy in his arms, comforting him and comforting himself, "It's okay, Xiaobao, I've lived in your house for so long, and I've thought a lot. I think I have the courage to resist now. I don't want to be a pawn at the mercy of others anymore. I will fight for what I should fight for."

Xiao Bao buried his head in his neck and said in a muffled voice, "Brother Yangyang, will you come back? How long will it take before I can see you again?"

"I will be back, I definitely will," Li Mingyang answered firmly. "As for how long, I may not be able to give you a definite answer right now, but Xiaobao, believe me, I won't keep you waiting too long."

"Okay, okay." Xiaobao moved and broke free from his arms. "Then let's make a pinky promise."

Li Mingyang looked at him with a smile, and the little fingers of their two little hands hooked together. Xiaobao's tender and sweet voice rang out in the room, "Let's make a promise and never change for a hundred years! Whoever changes will be a big bad guy!"

"Brother Yangyang, you must not be a bad guy. You must keep your word."

Xiaobao's eyes were a little red, and his voice trembled slightly, which was difficult to conceal. Li Mingyang was even more reluctant to leave when he saw his pitiful appearance.

The two little guys chatted in the room for a long time before Lu Jiaming knocked on the door and came in to urge them.

"Mingyang, let's go, otherwise Grandpa Li and the others will be worried."

"Okay, let's go."

Li Mingyang finally gave Xiaobao a very gentle kiss on his smooth forehead, and walked into the yard with his bag on his back, while Lu Jiaming looked puzzled.

Xiaobao also followed quickly and saw an electric car parked at the gate at a glance.

He asked softly, "Whose car is this?"

"I borrowed it from my friend. I went to pick it up from him this morning," Lu Jiaming said. "I happened to be returning the car, so I took it to the train station for Mingyang."

"The thing that Jiaming took out seems to be a living thing." Li Mingyang raised his chin towards the direction where Lu Yuxuan was squatting. "He has been playing with it for a long time."

"Hmm? What is it?"

Xiaobao ran over with curiosity, and Lu Yuxuan stood up holding the paper box. "Xiaobao, look, there are super cute kittens and puppies!"

The little guy's eyes lit up, and he immediately put his head over and opened his eyes wide to look at the two little ones inside.

The kitten was one of the tabby cats that Lu Jiaming had shown him before, and the puppy was a white Pomeranian with a round head and big, bright eyes.

They were still in the form of cubs, looking small and fragile. Xiaobao was afraid of hurting them, and even touched them with caution.

But these two little things didn't seem to be shy at all. When Xiaobao stretched out his hand, they rubbed it with their little heads. I don't know if they were competing for favor or what, but the puppy stood up and hugged Xiaobao's hand with its two front paws. Seeing this, the kitten also stopped and meowed non-stop, which was very cute.

"Xiaobao, do you like them?" Lu Jiaming asked with a chuckle, "With them around, you won't feel lonely even if no one is at home."

"Yeah, I like them very much," Xiaobao nodded repeatedly, "Fourth brother, do they have names?"

"The kitten has a small tag on its neck with its name written on it," Lu Jiaming said, "but the puppy doesn't have one. Xiaobao, you can give it a name."

Lu Yuxuan picked up the kitten and placed it in his palm. When he lifted its chin, he saw the small sign.

"What does this say? CB..." He muttered, "This cat is called Caibi? What a crappy name!"

"You look like a vegetable idiot to me." Lu Jiaming held his forehead and said, "It's called a vegetable cake."

Lu Yuxuan said "oh" and curled his lips: "That's quite strange, why not just call it Xiaoli"

"How unsophisticated!" Li Mingyang complained, then looked at Xiaobao with tenderness in his eyes, "Xiaobao, you come up!"

After the puppy came out of the box, it kept circling around Xiaobao. The little guy picked it up gently and said with a smile: "It's so white and soft, like a small steamed bun. Why don't we call it Little Steamed Bun?"

"Yeah, it's pretty good," Li Mingyang said, "and what about the kitten?"

"Let's call the kitten Wangzai," Lu Yuxuan interrupted, "Wangzai little bun"

Xiaobao nodded in agreement: "It seems that it is also possible."

"Okay, that's what we'll call it," Lu Jiaming said. "But I came back in a hurry and didn't buy any cat or dog food. Yuxuan, go to the supermarket at the entrance of the alley and ask if they have any. If not, tell me and I'll buy some in the city."
