Chapter 181 Enemies Meet on a Narrow Road

Chapter 181 Enemies Meet on a Narrow Road

It’s just that the partner’s alcohol tolerance is really good. He has already made several people in the same industry drunk. Su Yibei’s alcohol tolerance is not so good to begin with, so he had to make an excuse to go to the bathroom to get some fresh air.

The faucet was running, and he scooped up a handful of water and splashed it on his face, trying to sober himself up.

Suddenly, there was a muffled sound behind me, as if someone had bumped into the door.

He didn't care that the water was still flowing down his face, and just wiped it with a tissue. He turned around subconsciously and saw a tall figure staggering in.

The man was dressed in black and seemed to be injured. He covered his left arm with his right hand, and dark red blood seeped out from between his fingers. When he turned around, Su Yibei's pupils suddenly widened.

It turned out to be Huo Junyuan!

More than half a month had passed since they parted that day. Su Yibei didn't know what mood he was in. He went to the bar several times, but he didn't meet Huo Junyuan again.

Come to think of it, if my former mortal enemy found out that I was doing such a shameful business, he would definitely resign in anger and run away.

Su Yibei once thought that he might never see Huo Junyuan again. His appearance was like throwing a huge rock into a calm lake. As time passed, the rock sank to the bottom and the ripples on the lake surface finally calmed down.

Unexpectedly, just when he thought he had forgotten about the matter, Huo Junyuan suddenly popped up.

Is this the legendary fate? Can you meet your destined person even when going to the toilet?

Huo Junyuan obviously recognized him. His eyes, which always had a bit of ruffian spirit, flashed with a trace of surprise, and then returned to his usual cynicism.

"Hey, isn't this Mr. Su?" He pulled the corner of his mouth, "It's been a long time since we last met, did you miss me?"

Su Yibei twitched the corner of his mouth. He didn't expect that Huo Junyuan's mouth was still so annoying in this situation.

Before he could retort Huo Junyuan, there were chaotic footsteps and low voices outside the bathroom: "He can't run far, he must be nearby!"

Hearing the voice, Huo Junyuan's eyes instantly became sharp. He quickly stepped forward, grabbed Su Yibei's wrist, and pulled him into the compartment.

The compartment was very small, and two adult men were squeezed in almost touching each other, not to mention that Huo Junyuan, a mixed-race man, had a larger frame than Su Yibei, who was pure Asian.

The two men were too close. Su Yibei could smell a faint scent of blood on Huo Junyuan's body, mixed with his unique breath. He didn't know if it was because of nervousness or for some other reason, but the hairs on the back of Su Yibei's hands stood up and he got goose bumps.

"Don't make a sound." Huo Junyuan leaned close to his ear and whispered. Su Yibei could even feel the warm breath brushing against his ear, making him feel itchy and uneasy.

But he still had time to roll his eyes and pointed at Huo Junyuan's hand that was tightly covering his mouth: Come on, brother, you're almost suffocating me! How could I make a sound!

Huo Junyuan hesitated for a moment, but slowly loosened his hand that was restraining Su Yibei and gave him an apologetic look.

Su Yibei hummed and didn't bother with him. He pricked up his ears and listened carefully to the noise outside.

The group of people were still in the bathroom. Their footsteps were getting closer and closer. Someone began to push the doors of the cubicles one by one. Su Yibei felt that Huo Junyuan's body was tense, like a cheetah ready to pounce.

He had no doubt that as long as someone outside dared to push their door, the leopard would rush forward and tear its prey to pieces until the prey was dead.

Su Yibei frowned and looked at his wound. The cut seemed to be quite big. Because of Huo Junyuan's previous pulling, the bleeding was even worse. How could he possibly defeat those people outside?

Seeing that the group of people had almost reached the door of the last cubicle in the toilet, Su Yibei clearly heard Huo Junyuan's heartbeat quickening.

In the end, he couldn't bear it anymore, so he turned around and looked at him, lowering his voice: "Forget it, remember, you owe me a favor."

Before Huo Junyuan understood what he meant, Su Yibei took a deep breath, pushed open the door of the compartment and walked out.

Everyone's eyes were on Su Yibei. He quickly walked to the sink, turned on the faucet and pretended to wash his hands, humming a little tune happily.

With Su Yibei's cover, Huo Junyuan quickly and lightly climbed over the bathroom partition and went directly to the previous cubicle that had been checked.

When the group of people withdrew their gaze from Su Leyun and looked at the last cubicle, it was empty and there was no trace of anyone else.

"Sir, was there a man this tall coming here just now?" One of them looked puzzled and raised his hand to gesture Huo Junyuan's height.

Su Yibei looked calm, straightened his suit in front of the mirror, and smiled professionally: "I didn't see it, but I seemed to hear someone running towards the fire escape just now."

The group of people did not suspect anything and chased in the direction Su Yibei pointed.

After confirming that the group of people had left, Su Yibei pushed open the door of one of the compartments again. Huo Junyuan leaned against the wall, his face a little pale, but the corners of his mouth still had that playful smile: "I didn't expect that you would lie to save me. I'm really flattered."

"You're injured." Su Yibei didn't answer him, but frowned as he looked at his bleeding arm, "I'll take you to the hospital."

"No need." Although Huo Junyuan looked pale, he was very firm. He said indifferently: "This little injury won't kill me."

He moved closer to Su Yibei and propped his uninjured hand on the wall next to his ear: "Why are you helping me? If I remember correctly, we don't have this kind of relationship of helping each other."

The distance between the two people was too close, Su Yibei felt a little uncomfortable, he turned his face away: "I just don't want to see anyone get into trouble in front of me."

This statement is true.

"Really? I thought Mr. Su was worried about me." His fingers gently stroked Su Yibei's tie: "This tie is good, it suits you very well."

"Huo Junyuan!" Su Yibei pulled his tie out of his hand with a stern face. Worried that there might be ears on the other side, he lowered his voice, "Don't you think you should explain to me now? Why did you get hurt? Why did someone chase you? Are you..."

He paused and didn't say anything else.

Huo Junyuan understood what he didn't say. He narrowed his eyes and his tone suddenly turned cold: "Is it something? Are you doing something shady?"

Su Yibei was silent, but his eyes said it all.

No wonder Su Yibei thought like this. If he hadn't gone astray, how could they have met again in the private room of the bar, not to mention that Su Yibei witnessed him being chased by a group of people today.

Huo Junyuan let go of his hand and took a step back. The playful smile on his face gradually disappeared, and his expression became extremely serious: "Su Yibei, you saved me today, thank you, I will return this favor to you if I have the chance."
