Chapter 32 Willing to Donate Blood
Su Minghui nodded thoughtfully. This made sense. She had heard that the old man of the Chu family was a playboy, but she didn't expect that he would have such a big illegitimate child.
As Su Leyun spoke, the truth of the matter slowly unfolded before Su Minghui.
The murderer's name was Chen Jun, the product of a one-night stand between the old man of the Chu family and Chen Jun's mother. However, old man Chu did not acknowledge the child and was unwilling to give him a surname, so Chen Jun took his mother's surname and the outside world was unaware of his existence.
Although Mr. Chu did not recognize his child, he was still very generous to him. The mother and son lived a carefree life, but Chen's mother was always depressed.
She originally thought that she could rely on Chen Jun to get to the top, but she didn't expect that she could hardly see the man after that. She could only see information about him through newspapers and television, and his legal wife was usually included in this information.
Mother Chen had no friends, and she poured out all her resentment towards the Chu family to the young Chen Jun, which undoubtedly planted the seeds of hatred in Chen Jun's heart.
The good times did not last long. Chen's mother had been idle for a long time and became addicted to gambling. She soon lost all the money the Chu family gave her. The mother and son had to move from the high-end residential area to the dilapidated old campus. Here, Chen Jun experienced too much, and all this was just because of the man who abandoned them.
The thought of revenge grew wildly in Chen Jun's mind. He turned it into motivation and was admitted to the best university in China.
The first day of school should have been the happiest day. After all, Chen Jun’s life might change drastically because of the halo of this school. He even felt that revenge was no longer important.
But fate likes to play tricks on people. As soon as Chen Jun arrived at the dormitory, he saw Chu's father, the rightful heir of the Chu family. He had a handsome face and was wearing clothes that an ordinary person could only afford with several months' salary. He smiled and stretched out his hand to introduce himself to Chen Jun.
Chen Jun was stunned for a moment, holding his hand and thinking subconsciously: He must have never been blocked in an alley on a rainy day and beaten and kicked while cursing at his illegitimate son, right?
Why do we all live such different lives even though we are all that man’s sons?
He is the favored child of destiny that everyone admires, while I can only be a rat in the gutter that never sees the light of day?
Just like this, Chen Jun got along very well with Chu's father on the surface, and even went directly to Chu's company as a special assistant after graduation. However, he was secretly angry and hated this family.
Finally, the hatred value reached its peak in the year Chu Xuan was born. In the same year, Chen Jun also got married and had a child, but unlike Chu Xuan who was healthy and could eat and sleep well, his child had been staying in the hospital since birth.
Because of the low immunity caused by congenital deficiency, the child was infected with all the diseases that newborns can be infected with, and he received two critical illness notices within 40 days of birth.
It was only after Chu's father learned about this that he arranged for the best doctor to help with the treatment. The child was saved and walked out of the hospital gate for the first time at the age of two months.
However, since then, Chen Jun and his wife have become frequent visitors to the hospital, taking their child to the hospital every few days. Although the child has grown up safely to the age of 3, he is still frail and sickly, and is far inferior to other children of the same age in small things such as talking and walking.
Chen Jun's childhood was a nightmare to him, so he wanted to make up for all his regrets on his son, but he didn't expect that his son was so unlucky that he had difficulty surviving.
Chen Jun once again lamented the unfairness of fate. It was bad enough that he and Chu's father were in different worlds, but why did he not even let his son go?
It seemed that God really heard Chen Jun's questions. On the way to take the child to the hospital again, he met a Taoist priest with dark eyes. The Taoist priest stared at the child for a long time. When Chen Jun couldn't help but curse, the Taoist priest looked at him again.
"Your child is destined to die young. You don't have many days left to live. But I have a way to change his fate. I just need one thing."
But there seemed to be a vortex in those dark pupils, and Chen Jun lost his mind after just one glance.
"How much money do you want? I can give you everything!"
The Taoist shook his head: "Money is something outside of one's body. What I need is someone who is willing to donate his or her blood. The blood of a living person is the best."
The Taoist priest waved his hand, and the child who was originally sitting there suddenly became bright-eyed. When he looked at Chen Jun, he actually called out "Dad" in a crisp voice.
This made Chen Jun very excited. Everything proved that what the Taoist said was true.
Chen Jun returned home in a daze. His wife was busy preparing dinner in the kitchen.
He stared for a long time, the Taoist's words echoing over and over in his mind. Finally, he stood up and came behind his wife, hugged her from behind: "Dear, if there is a way to save the baby now, can you pay any price?"
The wife said without any hesitation: "Of course I agree. As long as the baby is healthy in the future, I am fine with anything."
As soon as he finished speaking, Chen Jun's hand slowly moved up to strangle her neck. He used all his strength, and soon his wife's body went limp and fell to the ground.
When she woke up again, she was tied up in a dark room. In front of her was a strange altar with two straw figures on it. One of them had her son's name on it, and the other had the word "Chu Xuan" written on it.
She struggled in panic, not understanding what was going on. She was at home cooking dinner for her family, so how did she suddenly end up in such a hellish place?
Halfway through her struggle, she suddenly saw Chen Jun, who was kneeling in front of the altar with a pious look on his face. Before she could ask anything, a Taoist priest in a black robe came out from the darkness, holding a sharp dagger in his hand, and without a single word, he stabbed her in the heart.
She screamed in pain, and Chen Jun turned his head away, unable to bear it.
"Don't struggle. This is all for the baby. With your blood, he can survive."
The dagger was still sliding across her heart, directly creating a cut. Blood gushed out, quickly filling her entire chest cavity. Blood gushed out from her throat as she screamed, splashing on Chen Jun's face.
Finally, the Taoist priest reached hard and the still beating heart fell from the heart cavity into his hand.
His wife's face was hideous, her mouth was wide open, her eyes were staring as if their eyeballs were about to fall out of their sockets, and she did not close her eyes until she died.
After he died, the body disappeared out of thin air, as if the tragic scene just now was just a nightmare for Chen Jun.
My wife's heart was still beating mechanically, and blood was flowing out of it, dripping into the container prepared by the Taoist priest.
