Chapter 41: She won't use Xiao Sheng to win favor, right? (2/2)

The movements of his hands also became two points faster.

In the kitchen.

Su Qi called Su Wanwan in and asked, "Wanwan, did your son-in-law say when he would come? You can have dinner together then go back. I wasted your money today to buy a sewing machine."

"Mom, that sewing machine is an investment, you don't have to feel burdened."

"As for Xiao Sheng, I'll call and ask."

Su Wanwan had no choice but to take Xiao Sheng to the newsstand outside the alley and call Xiao Sheng.

The phone rang twice.

A female voice came from the other end of the phone, "Hello? This is ***'s office. Who are you looking for, comrade?"

"I'm Su Wanwan, looking for Xiao Sheng from the ** group."

"Are you Comrade Su Wanwan?" The operator on the other end of the line was somewhat curious and surprised. "What do you want to talk to Captain Xiao about? Captain Xiao is in a meeting. I will pass on the message for you when he is done."

Su Wanwan noticed that the operator's attitude towards her was ambiguous.

It seems like he is looking at something curious, and also like he is trying to find out something.

"Please ask me when he will be back. When he is done, ask him to send a message back. Xiao Sheng and I are waiting for him." Su Wanwan got straight to the point.

It took the operator a while to find his voice again. "Okay, okay."

Su Wanwan hung up the phone.

This way.

Inside the secretary's office of the military district, Wang Weiwei was looking at the silent phone with a complicated expression. Out of the corner of her eye she saw a dark figure passing by outside the office, and she quickly called out to the other party.

"Doctor, come quickly, I have big news for you."

Zhu stopped and turned to look at her.

Seeing Zhu, who was wearing a Chinese gown, had long straight black hair, outstanding looks and elegant temperament, Wang Weiwei's eyes flashed with envy, but she was more excited by the news she had just received.

"Secretary Wang, what's the matter?" Zhu responded softly.

Wang Weiwei looked around to see if there was anyone around, then she lowered her voice and said, "Captain Xiao's wife called just now. She's the one called Su Wanwan."

"Guess what she said?" Wang Weiwei was quite indignant.

"She actually urged Captain Xiao to go back as soon as he finished his work." After Wang Weiwei finished speaking, she didn't even bother to look at Zhu's expression and couldn't help but sigh, "This person is too domineering."

"Captain Xiao is so busy, how can he spend time at home?"

Zhu asked coldly, "Is she coming to the military area?"

"Yes, that's right. Captain Xiao has already applied for his family to accompany the troops." Wang Weiwei didn't need to hide this matter. As long as it didn't involve any confidential matters, she could reveal it.

After she finished speaking, she glanced at Zhu and said, "Doctor Zhu, tell me if I'm right."

Zhu looked down at her and chuckled, "Is there anything else?"

"Oh, by the way, Su Wanwan threatened in the name of Xiao Sheng. She seemed to mean that Xiao Sheng was with her as well."

"She won't use Xiao Sheng to win favor, right?"

Wang Weiwei said this and found it unbelievable.

Zhu's expression also changed slightly. She pursed her lips and said, "Who knows."

"Thank you for letting me know."

"Hehe, it's my duty." Wang Weiwei thought about Zhu's family background and chose to make friends with him without hesitation.

Of course, she would never admit that she wanted to see a good show.

Zhu turned and left.

Wang Weiwei achieved her goal, but she didn't take Su Wanwan's words to heart. In fact, when Xiao Sheng came down from the meeting, accompanied by several officers, and went straight back to the office from in front of her desk, she didn't even think of reminding him.
