Chapter 59: Borrowing to kill
Su Chenyu and Baili Yanqing followed the searching officers and soldiers all the way to the backyard of the inn, where they saw Su Cen Gu stabbing Princess Xin with a dagger. Fortunately, Princess Xin turned her body away, and the dagger pierced her shoulder but missed the vital part.
Just when Su Cen Gu drew out his dagger to stab the second time, an officer rushed forward and pierced Su Cen Gu's heart with a sword.
The dagger fell to the ground, and Su Cengu fell beside Princess Xin. The rain mixed with blood completely dyed her and Princess Xin's clothes red.
Princess Xin turned her head and saw Su Cen Gu, who died with his eyes open.
Su Chenyu stepped forward and helped Princess Xin up from the ground: "Quickly call the imperial physician to come and treat Princess Xin."
After the two left, Baili Yanqing walked forward and looked at Su Cen Gu, who was lying on the ground and had no breath, and said, "The criminal Su Cen Gu escaped from the prison and intended to kill Princess Xin. Her crime is even more serious. She is now executed. Take her body and report back."
"yes!"
…
Prince Xin didn't expect that he just took a nap. When he woke up, he saw Princess Xin covered in blood and was shocked.
The imperial physician arrived in time, applied medicine to Princess Xin's wound, wrote a prescription, and asked people to get the medicine and boil it.
Fortunately, Princess Xin dodged at that time, and the wound was not serious, and it would heal in a month or two. However, as a result, Prince Xin and his wife could not leave the capital for a short time.
Prince Xin sent the doctor away, and Su Chenyu sat by the bed, accompanying Princess Xin.
Seeing Princess Xin's silence, Su Chenyu asked, "Do you regret it?"
Do you regret killing your own daughter?
Tears rolled down Princess Xin's eyes, "Am I too cruel?"
After the blood test in the palace on that day, Princess Xin naturally figured out the ins and outs of the matter.
However, Princess Xin was already disheartened by Su Cen's past, and she just pretended to know nothing.
She didn't expect that Su Cenggu could escape. The moment she saw her, Princess Xin knew that she must not let her leave alive. The flaw of the dagger's reflection was deliberately made by her. She couldn't do it herself, so she could only borrow her body to kill.
"But I don't regret it!" In Princess Xin's eyes, there was sadness and determination.
She could not forget the look on her father's face when he was betrayed by Cen Shuo. From that time on, she told herself that she must never let the betrayer go, because if it happened once, there would be a second time.
Su Chenyu changed the subject: "What I am more curious about now is, who let her go?"
"Is there any Xixia accomplice in the palace?"
Su Chenyu shook her head: "Even if there is an insider from Xixia, they will not choose to save her. There is someone else who saved her!"
Princess Xin clutched the quilt tightly: "The water in the capital is getting more and more muddy."
"The fox's tail will eventually show up." Su Chenyu covered her with a blanket, "Rest early and take good care of your injuries. Everything will be over."
Princess Xin closed her eyes, and Su Chenyu did not bother her any more. She closed the door after leaving, and turned around to see Prince Xin: "How is the princess?"
"Uncle, don't mention Su Cen Gu in front of the princess anymore. Don't even mention her name."
Prince Xin nodded solemnly: "Don't worry!"
Su Chenyu didn't say anything more and just left. When she went downstairs, she saw Baili Yanqing waiting for her downstairs.
Feeling inexplicably uncomfortable in her heart, Su Chenyu stopped and looked at Baili Yanqing quietly.
