Chapter 59: Borrowing a Knife to Kill (2/2)

Baili Yanqing walked to Su Chenyu, unfolded the cloak on his arm, and put it on her: "It's raining, the weather is cold, be careful not to catch a cold."

Su Chenyu's hands were cold. Baili Yanqing held her hands in his palms, as if this would convey warmth to her: "Let's go home."

On the way there, Su Chenyu stayed in Baili Yanqing's arms. When the carriage stopped at the gate of the mansion, Su Chenyu had already fallen asleep.

Baili Yanqing carried her down from the carriage and walked all the way to Beiyuan.

There was no noise tonight, Baili Yanqing just quietly held Su Chenyu and slept all night.

The next morning, Su Chenyu woke up. As soon as she opened her eyes, she saw Baili Yanqing's enlarged handsome face. It was really... too delicate.

Unable to resist the temptation of this face, Su Chenyu reached out and touched his forehead, then touched his nose, and slid down to kiss his soft lips.

Suddenly, Baili Yanqing opened his mouth and gently bit her index finger.

"So you were just pretending to sleep."

Baili Yanqing released her index finger: "If I don't pretend to be asleep, I don't know what someone will do to me."

Su Chenyu hugged his waist contentedly: "Sleep with me for a while longer."

"If you move again, I'm not sure if you can still sleep?" Hearing his words full of "threatening" meaning, Su Chenyu immediately loosened her hand and let him go: "I don't want to sleep anymore, I want to get up."

It was rare to see Su Chenyu and Baili Yanqing get up so early when they had nothing to do. Yanyu's eyes were teasing as she brought them breakfast: "Princess, it's rare for you to get up so early today."

"You little girl, you dare to make fun of me." Su Chenyu glared at Baili Yanqing. It was all his fault!

Baili Yanqing served her a bowl of porridge: "Come on, drink the porridge."

Su Chenyu held the bowl of porridge and drank it, but turned her head away and didn't look at him. Her angry look made Baili Yanqing laugh again.

In the next few days, there was unrest in the aunt's room. Baili Ting learned that Yao was going to ruin Baili Qiuhong's future, and he was so angry that he refused to see Yao at all and stayed at Aunt Rong's house all day long.

This matter alarmed the old lady, who went to reprimand Baili Ting, but to no avail.

The situation in the room was at a stalemate, but no one came to provoke Beiyuan, so Su Chenyu and Baili Yanqing had a quiet time.

Soon, the lantern festival that Su Chenyu had been longing for arrived. She and Yan Qing were drawing on lantern paper, thinking about what kind of lantern to make.

Suddenly, someone came from the old lady's place and said that some relatives from the northwest had arrived and asked the two of them to go over and meet them.

Su Chenyu was unhappy because her mood was disturbed, but she still put down her paintbrush and went to Fushoutang with Baili Yanqing.

When they went in, they saw the woman sitting next to the old lady.

Most Northwestern women are straightforward, but the woman in front of him gives people a gentle and virtuous feeling from the south of the Yangtze River. Her appearance can only be regarded as average, and she is not very eye-catching in the crowd.

But her temperament can make people notice her at first sight.

"Princess, you and Yan Qing are here." The old lady introduced to Su Chenyu, "This is Qing Xuan, she calls me cousin. This is her first time in the capital, and she will stay in the mansion for a few more days. You two can get to know her."

Song Qingxuan stood up and bowed to Su Chenyu and Baili Yanqing: "I greet the princess and the prince. I am sorry to bother you during my visit to the capital."

There is an innate gentleness and kindness in his conversation.

"Qingxuan is a well-mannered child. Her mother asked me to find a good marriage for her when she came to Beijing this time. The princess knows a lot of people, so please help Qingxuan keep an eye out for them." This was the purpose of the old lady inviting Su Chenyu over.

Su Chenyu would not give her face for such a matter: "Since the old lady has spoken, this princess will pay more attention to it."

Song Qingxuan sat down next to the old lady again. She cast a subtle look at Baili Yanqing several times: "My Lord, it's been many years since we last met. Do you still remember me?"
